Chapter 8 - 8

Stepping out of the alley, Wu Chen walked down the streets of Hell's Kitchen, maintaining the posture of Minato Namikaze, unhurriedly.

He was trying to encounter a 'random mission'.

A 'random mission' meant waiting for someone to ask for help, and then accepting their request.

He couldn't just casually grab someone and say, "I'm going to help you, so give me a reward!" right?

That would be too low-class and too deliberate.

So Wu Chen thought all night and came up with the method of 'accepting random missions'.

As long as the place he was in was chaotic enough, someone would definitely come to him for help.

However, to be fair, when it comes to accepting missions, Konoha's Mission Hall is the best.

There, you can accept any type of mission you want.

Without Konoha's Mission Hall, accepting missions is really inconvenient.

"Hey! You, kid in the weird clothes!"

However, before a 'random mission' appeared, trouble found him instead.

Wu Chen was stopped by a Bald John.

This was a White man, two meters tall, burly, with a fierce face, looking menacing.

"Is there something you need?" Wu Chen asked pleasantly, being stopped.

He had come out precisely to look for trouble.

Finding missions, accepting missions, and then completing them—isn't that just looking for trouble?

Of course, if the process was entirely unpaid, then it would be completely so.

Therefore, he had long been prepared to be stopped by strangers.

Wu Chen spoke kindly, but the man thought Wu Chen was easy to bully. He directly reached out, grabbed Wu Chen's collar, and said menacingly, "You're wandering around here, are you looking for me?"

"Huh?" Wu Chen was puzzled. He looked at Bald John's hand gripping his collar. "Can you let me go before you speak?"

"Haha! Bald John is up to no good again, there's a good show to watch! I bet five seconds!"

"Five seconds? You overestimate this pretty boy. I bet he'll beg for mercy before it even starts."

"I bet three seconds!"

"Bets are open! Bets are open!"

When the surrounding people saw this, instead of calling the Police or intervening, they all gloated.

Clearly, these guys were all of the same ilk.

Bald John heard Wu Chen's words and grinned, "Kid, it seems you really are looking for me, and you're here to give me money, right!"

Now Wu Chen understood, "Robbery?"

"No, no, no ~ how can you call it robbery?" Bald John's breath sprayed on Wu Chen's face, making Wu Chen frown. "Didn't I just say? You're here to give me money."

"Let me think, you should be giving me one thousand U.S. dollars, right!"

As he spoke, his other free hand was raised, and his fist, as big as a casserole, swayed in front of Wu Chen.

"I don't want to hear a negative answer, otherwise I might get angry, and then my fist might uncontrollably land on you."

Seeing this, Wu Chen didn't answer, but instead turned to look around at the people nearby.

"So, you're all scum!"

"!!!" Bald John was furious, "Kid, what are you saying?!"

As he spoke, his fist was about to land on Wu Chen.

At this moment, a little boy's shout suddenly came from nearby, "Don't bully him, I've called the Police!"

Bald John stopped and turned to look.

Wu Chen also retracted his hand, which was preparing to condense a Rasengan, and looked over as well.

It was a brown-haired boy of about ten years old. He was holding a phone in his hand and was now bravely shouting, "Let him go quickly!"

"Hahahahaha!!!" Everyone, including Bald John, laughed.

Holding Wu Chen, Bald John walked up to the child, bent down, and said, "Little one, you don't know that the New York Police don't respond to calls in this area, do you?"

"Ah!" The boy was clearly scared. "But the Police officer just said he'd be here right away..."

"That's a lie! They'll only come after everything's over, and then clean up the mess! Hahahahaha!!"

Immediately, everyone around was amused and burst into boisterous laughter.

Seeing this, eleven-year-old Peter Parker turned pale. Although young, he clearly knew what he would face.

Offending such thugs, being beaten half to death and having his money stolen, that was the best-case scenario.

If it were more serious, he dared not imagine what would happen to him.

He had only gone out to buy something, and since that item was available in this neighborhood, he came to buy it, but he didn't expect to encounter such a situation.

Having been full of a sense of justice since childhood, he certainly wouldn't stand by and do nothing.

But he wasn't stupid either; he didn't rush in directly but called the Police.

However, he didn't expect that the Police wouldn't care about this area!!

This... what should he do now!

Looking at the somewhat flustered boy, Wu Chen felt he should act.

Such a brave and kind child was in danger to help him, and Wu Chen liked him very much.

In that case, he certainly had to protect him.

So, Wu Chen raised his hand and gripped Bald John's wrist, which was holding his collar, and slowly began to exert force.
