Chapter 460: Furious Harry!!

"Sirius, Darren's name was put in by a student called Cedric Diggory. He already admitted it… you might have forgotten,"

Harry said hesitantly.

Sirius shook his head.

He said seriously, "Actually, I don't believe that at all. I know that boy. He wouldn't do anything so reckless. He's a Hufflepuff, and a good person. He must have been used by someone. He's kind—and he even saw his father being rescued by Darren.

Think about it: if someone told him Darren wanted to enter the Triwizard Tournament but wasn't old enough, do you really think Cedric wouldn't help him?"

Sirius's thoughts matched Darren's.

"Then we just need to find out who told him that, and we might uncover the truth!"

Harry said excitedly.

"Harry, do you really think the teachers haven't already thought of that?"

Sirius said helplessly.

Only then did Harry notice that Darren looked completely unsurprised.

Clearly, Darren had already considered all of this.

"Darren, why didn't you tell me earlier? We could've asked him back then!"

"I'm sorry, brother. I only suspected it. Senior Cedric really doesn't seem like that kind of person. And as for not asking him directly…

Brother, in front of him so many people kept saying I wasn't old enough—otherwise I would've been the one competing. How many times do you think others said that around him?

If I asked him outright, it would just alert the enemy. So I couldn't say anything.

The professors didn't bring it up either. Everyone is waiting for the real culprit to expose himself."

"Darren, you're amazing!"

Harry said admiringly.

Sirius nodded as well.

"By the way… from what Harry just said, I already know your first task. Remember—what you need is a spell…"

He was about to continue.

Harry suddenly covered his mouth.

"Let's go! Someone's coming!"

Darren nearly told Harry it was Ron.

Ron wouldn't report them.

But Sirius had already left, and Harry was already on edge.

Sure enough, it was Ron.

"Who were you talking to just now?"

Ron asked cautiously.

Before Darren could speak, Harry snapped,

"What's it to you? Are you here to interrogate me?"

"Yeah, I shouldn't have bothered you," Ron said coldly. "After all, you probably need to prepare for your next interview, right?"

Ron had been waiting in the dormitory to tell Harry about the first task, but Harry hadn't returned. So he came looking for him.

Instead, he got yelled at.

Anger flared, and he mocked Harry out of spite.

That only made Harry explode.

He had finally spoken to Sirius—and Ron had ruined it.

And after seeing the dragons…

Harry had no patience left.

He bent down and picked up a badge from the floor.

It was one the Slytherins had made:

"POTTER STINKS."

He slammed it into Ron's face.

"Wear this tomorrow!" Harry shouted.

"Watch Darren and me fight to the death! Now get lost! Darren—come with me!"

He grabbed Darren and stormed away without looking back.

Darren gave Ron an apologetic glance.

Ron's eyes were red.

The badge had hit hard.

Harry hadn't held back.

Darren almost laughed.

He also wanted to apologize.

But Harry had already dragged him off.

"Oh, Darren, I'm sleeping in your dorm tonight!"

"I don't want to see that idiot Ron!"

"Well… maybe Ron had something important to tell you…"

"We might die on Tuesday, Darren. Don't make me look at him right now."

Darren had no choice but to take him along.

Luckily, his dormitory was huge.

That night, they discussed how Harry could deal with the dragon.

Darren suggested many spells.

But Harry was only just learning them.

Finally, Darren said, "Use your broom. Summon your Firebolt and fly."

Harry's eyes instantly lit up.

Darren sighed helplessly.

Only a protagonist could think of using a broomstick like a divine weapon.

Most importantly, Harry had learned this spell from Snape.

Darren didn't even know how to feel about that.

Still, he encouraged Harry.

"Practice your Summoning Charm tomorrow. As long as you can call your Firebolt during the task…"

Harry asked nervously, "What about you?"

Darren paused.

"I'll manage. Honestly… I've never fought a dragon either."

That made Harry uneasy.

But Darren's calm still steadied him.

If Darren ever went all out…

The Death Eaters wouldn't stand a chance.

Harry finally slept peacefully.

---

The next day, Harry spent every free moment practicing the Summoning Charm.

In the middle of his training, Moody came to see him.

He looked eager to give advice on how to face the dragon.

But Harry was already prepared.

When Moody heard Harry casually mention that Darren planned to face the dragon head-on, his eyes widened—half shocked, half impressed.

"That's right! That's exactly it!" Moody exclaimed.

"I can't imagine Darren failing against a dragon!"

He was delighted.

He even wanted to share Harry's excitement.

But Harry had already turned away.

He still needed more practice.

He didn't even want to attend Divination class.

But Hermione insisted.

"If you choose a subject, you attend it."

So Harry reluctantly went.

Professor Trelawney was, as usual, predicting death.

This time, she declared that boys born at the end of July would experience a bloody catastrophe.

"Then hurry it up!" Harry snapped.

"Darren and I don't want to suffer any longer than necessary!"

Ron laughed.

Harry ignored him completely.

Darren only shot Ron a helpless look.

Ron sighed.

Finally, he scribbled a note and tossed it to Darren.

"The first task is dragons. I heard it from Charlie."
