"... sources have it that the president will begin investigating the governor and other Lagos officials to find out..."
"Turn it off!"
Kwame yelled in anger as he watched the news on the large computer screen in the dark meeting room. Bawa just sighed and turned the screen off.
Members of the oracle were gathered in the meeting room, thinking of their next move. Ada who was terribly affected by Luna's death just kept mute, Bawa on the other hand was thinking of a way to back out of the group before the president finds out he's involved too.
"They're after us" Ada said making everyone to turn towards her "Luna's gone, and now they have Martin, I'm starting to think Luna was right. We can't win this"
"Stop saying rubbish, we can still win this" kwame said
"How?! Don't you see that everything we worked so hard to keep is slowly slipping away?!" Ada yelled
"Watch your tongue" Kwame said with his thick Ghanian accent "the oracle never backs down from a fight, this isn't just an ordinary university cult where we do little things no we're bigger than the federal government combined. Don't loose hope now"
"I'm already losing hope. If you have a plan you better spill it now" Bawa said
"Oh i have a plan, but for now leave everything to me. Bawa i need you to contact doctor Lincoln, ask him whether he's developed the virus yet. We have no time to waste"
Bawa nodded and walked out of the room
Ada just stared at the Ghanian giant wondering what he was up to
"Do you trust me?" He smirked
"Do I have a choice?" Ada rolled her eyes "Kwame you do realise the president is coming after us right?"
Kwame nodded
"And you're still talking about the virus, which by the way is impossible since we didn't know where that stupid Gabi kept the key to finding the real thing"
"You worry too much, Gabi or no Gabi our workers are already developing a new powerful virus that will cripple the black market and make us filthy rich. As for the president, I'll handle him" kwame smiled as he lit a cigarette
"Okay i just hope your plan works" Ada said
"As for those purple bastards" he growled looking at his bandaged arm "they haven't won"
"They took back the captives, we have no way of tracking them now" Ada said anxiously
"Don't worry, I'll handle it" he smoked his cigarette
"Whatever you say boss" Ada rolled her eyes

Machines beeping
Humming sounds
Shuffling of feets
Bawa watches as the scientists race across the white room doing their work, there's a huge machine in a corner connected to a surgery table. On the table is tied a man who's screaming and trying to free himself from the huge needle connected to his hand. A white doctor, Doctor Elan scribbles something on his writing pad as he watches the screaming victim. He nods and then brings a recorder near to his mouth to say something
"Subject y shows no sign of vomiting, black eye bags and zombie like state which are the symptoms of virus Alpha. Conclusion is failure" he sighed and switched off the machine
The victim stops screaming and falls into unconsciousness
"How was it?" Bawa asked as he walked over to the doctor
"We failed, like we always do. Hmmm, honestly I'm afraid we may never develop the right virus" Elan said sadly
"Keep trying, if it's more guinea pigs you need we'll bring them to you" Bawa said
"I'm really sorry but this is hopeless. We need the real virus..."
Elan was interrupted as Bawa grabbed his neck angrily
"Don't you dare disappoint me doc, do your work and make sure you succeed. Unless you want to see your daughter's body in front of you"
"Please... please" Elan struggled to breathe
"Is that clear?!" Bawa shouted
"Y... yes"
Bawa let go of him as the doctor stumbled to the floor panting, the other scientists just stared in horror
"Good. Gabi was able to get a mild form of the virus but he hid it from us and before we could get him the purple Lagoon killed him. We'll keep searching until we find it but in the meantime keep trying to develop another one" Bawa instructed
"No..no problem" Elan stammered
Bawa smiled and then walked out of the room
