Chapter 2 - Chapter 01: Chapter 01

If I were to rate the world I live in, I would give it a solid...4. It's boring, no mythical creatures, no magic, and to top it all...truck-kun. I was a normal 17-year-old Japanese orphan, and right now I am in a dark...room? Having a panic attack.

'How could I fall victim to truck-kun? I really is Japan's number 1 murderer.'

I was on my way walking home from the hellhole they call school, and then, without warning.

Vroom! Vroom! Smack!

I felt unimaginable pain shoot from my back and surge all over my body in milliseconds.

"Where did that truck come from?" I heard a man's voice.

"A kid was hit!" A woman shouted from my right. I felt a pair of soft hands touch me, but after a minute, I no longer felt the hands, and I couldn't see anything.

"Could someone call an ambulance? Stop staring like idiots!" The woman still next to me shouted with a shaking voice. It touched my heart. Ever since I was a child, I never knew my parents, and the orphanage never really cared for me, so hearing a total stranger care for me that much warmed my heart.

It pulled me out of my brain fog. "I...am...fi...ne." Those were my final words before I felt an invisible pull on my mind. And now I am in a dark room having a panic attack.

A dazzling light shone from my back, causing me to turn around instinctively. The moment I did, I regretted it deeply. The light overwhelmed my eyes.

I covered my eyes and felt the pulling sensation again. My back hit the floor with a thud. I opened my eyes slowly as they adjusted to the change in light. I was in a white room with a pristine marble floor and a sun logo in the middle. The roof was an elegant marble roof designed with the same sun logo on the floor.

The room was as wide as a soccer field, and in front of me were a flock of stairs leading to a beautiful throne, on which sat a woman with long silver hair that would reach her waist if she were standing. She wore a toga that painted her curves beautifully, and her purple eyes were eyeing me with curiosity and interest.

"What are you?" She asked with a curious tone. Her eyes were still fixed on mine as if she were seeing through me.

"I would really appreciate it if you didn't stare at me like that," I said with a shy voice.

"Right, sorry." She apologized and now looked in my eyes normally.

"Okay, I am confused," I started as I stood up. "I have like a million questions."

"Understandable, ask away, I will answer all I can." The woman said with a graceful and melodic tone that could hypnotize a person if they heard it for a long time. "Let's talk over tea."

She snapped her fingers, and before I could register what she said, the room twisted, and I found myself sitting in a majestic wooden chair with the woman sitting across me and a table in between us.

"Okay, I am just going to assume you are a Goddess," I said and casually took a sip of my tea.

She let out a melodic chuckle that could make most musicians I knew go unemployed. "You know, when people reach here, they are usually panicking or overly excited."

"I already had enough of that in the dark room," I told her in an exhausted voice.

"You're way too relaxed for someone who just died." She pointed out.

"Well, if you live a crappy life like the one I did, death is just a way out," I informed her.

"Then what was the panic attack about?" She asked, amused.

"That was because of the way I died." I snapped and shouted, frustrated but not at her, but at me. "It was a truck."

"I know," she answered in a soft voice filled with amusement

"A fucking white truck."

"I saw it." Her voice was still soft, but the amusement was increasing.

"It was truck-kun." I was ruffling my hair on the verge of ripping it out.

"You really are an interesting human." Her melodic voice pulled me back.

"What do you mean?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, let me first introduce myself. I am Izanami, Goddess of creation and death," She put a hand on her chest as she introduced herself. "But, not everyone who dies gets to meet me, only the ones I deem worthy."

I looked at her in surprise. I had guessed she was a Goddess, but Izanami is a whole other being. " It's an honour to meet you. I am-"I know"" I tried to hide my shock, but I failed. I mean, I am talking to a being that could give someone life without breaking a sweat.

"Please just stay casual," She said with amusement in her voice.

"Okay then, if you don't mind me asking, why was I deemed worthy to be here?" I asked more composed than before.

"Well, that's because of your soul." She answered as if it were obvious.

"Yeah, my soul makes sense," I said and nodded rapidly as if I understood.

"I meant that you have a unique soul." She explained after a light chuckle. "You have suffered through a lot, but your soul stays as pure as a baby's if not purer."

I rubbed the back of my neck, feeling kind of embarrassed at the praise. "Well, I try to help anyone I can, I lived a world of pain, so I didn't want anyone else to feel the way it felt."

"And that's one of the reasons you were deemed worthy." She told me with a warm smile.

"Uum... Goddess Izanami, may I request from you?" I asked, feeling kind of unsure if she would do it.

"What is it?" She looked intrigued.

"You saw my death, right?" I tried to stall for time as I find a way to phrase it.

"You want to help the woman who cried for you?" She asked with a warm voice that can melt the coldest mountain peak.

"Y-yes," I answered, kind of shy at how easy she read me and found out.

"Don't worry, it shall be done." She answered and snapped her finger.

For some reason, I trusted that she would keep her word and even do more. I guess the short time we just spent together made me trust her.

"So what happens now?" I asked, feeling unsure of what to do.

"Well, I will give you a chance. I can reincarnate you in another world or let you go to the afterlife." She as she sipped her tea.

"I see. I will take that other chance then." I said with seriousness in my voice.

"Why so serious?" Izanami asked me with some curiosity.

"Well, I just realized that if the Goddess of creation would deem me worthy of another chance, who am I to decline? And I just think the afterlife will be boring." I answered honestly.

"Okay, if that's your choice, I will reincarnate you, and as part of the deal, you get to make three wishes that I will grant you." She told me with a smile.

"Really?" I asked, somewhat surprised. Even though this takes place in some anime, they are usually granted one wish.

"Yes, really," Izanami answered casually.

"Okay, may I have time to think about it?" I asked, still surprised.

"Take as long as you want." She said and kept sipping her tea.

After a couple of minutes of silence, I broke it. "I think I am ready now."

"So what will it be?" She asked as she set her cup down.

"So first, I would like an enhanced mind. Like a mind that has a perfect memory, it can interpret things faster than a normal mind." I explained what I wanted to make sure it was perfect.

"Okay, it can be done." She nodded.

"Next, I would like an immortal and ever-adapting body." I was kind of unsure about this one, but it was more reasonable than my last choice, so I decided to say it first.

"Why would you want to be immortal?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I don't know, I guess, I just don't want to experience the feeling of death anytime soon," I answered truthfully.

"It can be done, but I want you to know that it might be a blessing and a curse in one. Being immortal won't take away the pain of death." She explained to me with one of her warm smiles.

"It's okay, as long as I know I have another chance," I told her with a serious expression.

"Okay, and your last?" She asked, a little intrigued. I guess she caught on that my requests kept getting more absurd, and this one might be unheard of.

I took a deep breath to calm myself down. I won't lose anything, so might as well ask. "I would like you to be my last wish."

She looked a little surprised by my request and then started chuckling.

"Hehe~ Wow, a bold one." She looked at me without any offence in her eyes. "In all my time here, that is the first time I heard that." She then looked thoughtful. "You know what? Why not?" She said with a shrug.

"Really? Just like that? You're not breaking some heavenly rule or something?" I asked, kind of shocked at the simplicity of it.

"Oh, honey, I didn't become some legend, you know, just because I am pretty. If that were the case, I would have been the Goddess of beauty. I have the freedom to do what I want." She explained to me with an amused tone.

"And besides~" Her voice dropped low and seductive. "A handsome guy just confessed his love to me and proposed to me, I would regret it for eons if I didn't say yes~"

My eyes widened. "Wait, I didn't mean to confess. It just came out." I swung my hands from side to side as I tried to convince her.

Her expression then changed to a pout. "Are you saying you don't want me?" Some tears then started to fill her eyes. "Are you saying that I am not enough? What do I lack? Even after all I gave you?" That caught me off guard, and I felt bad as she had been kind to me ever since I arrived, and now I made her cry.

"That's not what I meant either," I tried to reassure her.

Her tears were threatening to pour out as she looked at me. "Really? So I can come with you?" She had a look of hope in her eyes.

"Sure," I answered without hesitation.

"So are you still proposing?" She asked me with the same hopeful look in her eyes.

"...I guess so," I just resigned myself to fate, I mean, I got a pretty girl-probably the oldest being in existence, wanting to marry me.

The moment the words left my mouth, she did a 180. "I thought I was gonna stay here forever." The tears? Gone, disappeared, no trace left.

"Why do I feel played?" I asked out loud.

"I don't know what you're talking about," She said with such a serious face that I would have thought she was serious if I hadn't just witnessed the show she had just put on earlier.

"So, when do we go?" I asked, choosing the best course to deal with the situation, changing the subject.

"We can leave right now, but I won't be at my full power when we arrive." She warned as she got up.

"How strong will you be?" I asked filling somewhat curious about her power level.

"I have no idea, it will be my first time reincarnating myself, so I can't tell how much it will consume." She told me.

"It's cool," I said, not really bothered.

"Shall we get going?" She asked, looking at me. She then smirked. "There are two more surprises I will add for my husband; you will find out the moment we arrive in the new world."

It made me kind of nervous about what it was. "Okay, then let's go."

I got up and went next to her. She raised both arms in front of her, and a bright silver magic circle started to expand from beneath us. It had the same sun symbol in the middle.

The circle shone brighter, and I had to cover my eyes. I opened my eyes, but I couldn't see anything. I panicked. Did it fail? Am I dying again?

'Relax.' I heard a voice speak in my head, it sounded like Izanami's voice, but waaaaay younger. I then felt a hand touch mine. 'It's me, Izanami. I sent us into birth, we will be born today, I need to use this time to grow back my strength.' She explained.

'So we will be related and twins?' I asked after calming down.

'Yes, but clearly I will be older.' She said, sounding a little smug in the end.

'So the great Izanami is my older sister, what could make me safer?' I teased. After spending most of the day? With Izanami, I had come to understand her character. She is one of those laid-back deities who prefer to be treated casually.

'You are right, you will be the safest...being in this world.' She saidtaking a slight pause, which I noticed.

'What d-' I was cut off by her.

'Whoa, looks like I am getting born, see you on the other side.' She said her voice was growing fainter and fainter until she disappeared. I guess I will have to find out if I am still human.

After a couple of minutes, I felt the area around me gradually become smaller, and, as I pushed forward, I then saw a light at the end of the tunnel, and I was pushed towards it until I was out. I slowly opened my eyes, trying to adjust to the light.

'If I were you, I'd start crying.' Izanami warned in my head.

'Huh, why?' I was confused.

'That nurse just slapped my but for not crying.' She complained, just then, my hearing started to tune in, and I heard a cry near me. I was about to turn when

Smack!

A well-executed slap hit my but, sending a sting to my ass.

Waaah! Waaaah!

I got the message and started to fake cry.

"Here are your twins. Have you decided on their names?" A woman with shoulder-length brown hair, wearing glasses and a nurse's outfit, handed us to a woman sitting on the bed wearing a patient's dress. Then I felt it.

Swish Swish

I turned my head and saw two fluffy-looking tails sprouting out from the point where my but meets my lower back. It was black like the woman who was my mother. I turned to Izanami, excited.

'Izanami, I have tails!' I shouted in my head. My eyes had stars as I stared at my tails.

'I know, and that is surprise number one.' She said with some excitement in her voice. I looked at Izanami. She also had black hair and had the same eyes as our mother, with chubby cheeks that made her look like a kitten instead of a Goddess. She had one more tail than I, giving her a total of three.

Our mental conversation was interrupted by our mother. "They are so cute." She exclaimed and hugged us closer. She then turned to me. "I'll name you, Kirigaya Hiro."

My eyes widened in surprise. What a weird coincidence that was, my previous name. You know what, scratch that, I have a Goddess as my older sister that can not be a coincidence.

"And I will name you Kirigaya Nozomi." Our mother said while holding us closer to her. "I am Kirigaya Akihime, your mother."

We both raised small hands and touched each side of her cheeks. She beamed with joy at the gesture.

"I will go register them in the system." The nurse excused herself and walked out. Our mother began to play with us, making us giggle.

--Next day--

"We will take our leave now."Our mother said as she walked away from the receptionist holding us. The past day, I had learnt some things about our new family. One, we were rich, like filthy rich. Two, my father had passed away a couple of years before our birth. Yes, you heard that right. My mother has been pregnant for 5 years. And the final and biggest of all, we were in the world of MHA, which was Izanami's (now called Nozomi) final surprise.

We were in a limo heading towards our new home. I was stuck in one of the most embarrassing situation, I was being forced to breastfeed. I couldn't really say no; I was hungry, and my body needed nutrition to grow.

What made it worse was the way Nozomi was looking at me. She had a grin on her face as she turned to suck on our mother's right breast.

'Hiro, how could you? Drinking from another woman's chest in front of your wife?' She was asking with fake hurt and amusement in her voice.

'Shut up.' I retorted mentally as I kept sucking on the left breast. 'You're the one who made me like this.'

'Are you blaming your wife for her action? What kind of man are you if you don't take responsibility for your wife?' She kept her act up, but I chose to ignore her and focus on the outside world.

We passed a couple of tall buildings and some weird-looking people. Like this one guy was a spray can. The car then started turning into a big luxurious mansion. It was so big that it took a full minute to drive from the gate to the front door. We stepped out of the car and then entered the mansion.

It was big and pristine, with it had about 20 maids in total and some chefs. After exploring the castle, we arrived at our new resting place. Once our mom and the servants left, Nozomi levitated and entered my crib.

"This place is nice and modest." She said as she lay beside me.

"Wait, how is it that you can talk? How am I talking?" I asked, surprised.

"We are talking a language only we can understand. From the outside, it will sound like babies making weird noises." Nozomi explained to me.

"Okay, so how much power do you have now?" I asked, trying to know if we were safe or not, as the world of MHA was dangerous due to All for One (AFO).

"Not really that strong." She said while opening and clenching her fist. "I am about 0.0002% my original strength. If I had to say, I could probably just level a building with my max strength."

I grabbed her by her shoulder. "Remind me to never get on your bad side." I was shocked and worried about what that power could do.

"What do you mean? You can also do it now." She told me with a small smile.

I froze for a fraction of a second. "What do you mean?"

"When I reincarnated us, I connected our souls. Which means the stronger I grew, the stronger you go. But that will make it take longer for us to recover our strength. Like if it could have taken a couple of decades, now it will take a couple of centuries." Nozomi did her best to explain.

"I am sorry I am holding back your growth," I said, feeling unsure of what to do with the information.

"It's okay, we've got all the time in the world, and besides, I came here to be with my husband~" she replied teasingly.

--3 years later.--

"Hit with all your strength." Our instructor shouted at us.

'Dude doesn't know what he is asking for.' I practically scoffed at his instruction.

'Why do we have to learn this again?' Nozomi asked as she went in front of me and ran towards him with above-average speed. Her hit got parried. I appeared from behind her and used her as a springboard to launch myself toward the instructor like a bullet. My attack overwhelmed his, and I knocked the training sword from his hand.

"And that's checkmate," I said with a grin.

He smiled at us gently. "Perfect teamwork, young ones. I feel like I have exhausted all I have to teach you." He went and picked up his wooden sword, and I went towards Nozomi. "In four, on your birthday, we shall hold a graduation ceremony. Don't be late." With that, he turned and left.

I turned to Nozomi with a grin, and she also had a grin on her face. ""Race you to the hot spring.""

In a blur, we both disappeared, the ground cracking in a web form. As we ran through the courtyard, Nozomi started to bypass me, which I could not allow. But just like last time, she won me and arrived a second before me.

"How do you always win? I thought our powers were supposed to be equal." I asked as I began to remove my t-shirt.

"I am the big sister, that's why." She answered with smugness in her voice.

"Yeah, right." I scoffed as I finished undressing, and I headed into the hot springs with Nozomi behind me. I entered the spring, and all my earlier worries were immediately forgotten. "Aaah~ Now that's more like it."

Nozomi entered beside me. "Mmh~" She let out a soft moan. After a moment of silence, I broke it. "Hey, Nozomi, do you think we will get quirks?"

She opened one eye and looked at me. "What do you think?"

"I think it's almost impossible. We got all this knowledge, magic, and physique. According to my research, a quirk is a manifestation of someone's strongest attribute." I explained while staring at the roof.

"I also think we won't get a quirk. If anything, we will receive multiple quirks to the point that we will be considered quirkless." Nozomi added her thought. "But that doesn't mean crap, we will get admitted into U.A. and crush everyone."

I chuckled at her bluntness. "You're way too blunt for a Goddess."

"Former Goddess." She corrected me. "I gave up that title three years ago. Now, I am Kirigaya Nozomi," She stated with pride in her voice.

--4 days later--

Nozomi was standing in front of our teacher in a square arena while I sat on the sidelines with my mother and one of her officials.

"Begin." My mother's angelic voice sounded across the arena. The second the words were out of her mouth, Nozomi blurred and appeared behind the instructor. This move caught everyone by surprise, even the instructor. She swung her sword down with so much force that the air ignited and caught fire behind the sword. The instructor tried to block it with his wooden sword.

Tried.

Nozomi's sword broke through the instructor's blade and stopped right in front of his head. "...Winner, Kirigaya Nozomi," My mother's voice rang, announcing the end of the fight, if you can call it one. She didn't even bother to hide her curiosity.

"Nice match, 5 seconds," I said, impressed. "But I will still beat you."

"Next up, Kirigaya Hiro against instructor Takeshi Arata." My mother announced, and I took my spot on the stage facing the instructor. I put one hand on the floor as my fox tails swayed behind me. I channeled a large amount of mana into my feet to increase speed.

"Begin!" Mother's voice reached my ear and then.

Boom

In an instant, I appeared in front of the instructor, sword pointed at his throat.

"1 second," I then turned toward Nozomi and mouthed. "GG".

"...Winner Kirigaya Hiro." My mother announced with mild amusement and curiosity in her voice. Nozomi and I stood in front of the instructor.

"You have amazed me, young master and mistress, even though I was planning to use my quirk in this to make it harder and show you your shortcomings. You denied me the chance to make the first move. You both have tremendous explosive power, which will give you an advantage in fights. I have nothing more to teach, as you have surpassed me in any way. So you have graduated from me. Go become great heroes and go Plus Ultra." He finished his speech, and we left the podium and headed to our mother.

"My kids are making me proud. How did you do that?" She asked, looking at us with joy and pride.

Nozomi chuckled lightly. "We didn't do anything, Mom, we just ran towards him."

I nodded my head. "That was just pure speed."

Mother then got up and held our hands, and led us into the mansion. "For graduating, you deserve a reward. What do you want?"

I thought for a while and looked at Nozomi. We nodded and then turned to our mother. ""A lab.""

Our mother looked at us, surprised, then tilted her head. "Did you have to say that together?"

""We can't help it. See."" We answered in sync with slight smirks on our faces.

"I feel like you are messing with me." She narrowed her eyes at us. Her eyes softened after a while, and then she had a thoughtful expression. "So you want a lab, what for? You're only 4."

"We have been studying from the library every day ever since we could read," I told her. And we started to read way too early.

"We have knowledge comparable to some adults." Nozomi backed me up. Then, to seal the deal, we put on our best puppy dog eyes and let our ears and tails slump. ""Please.""

She looked thoughtful for a while and then sighed. "Sure, why not. But I am sending someone to watch over you guys so that you don't do anything dangerous." She then squatted to meet our eyes while patting our heads. "Just make sure not to give them a hard time."

We smiled and then tackled her in a big hug, pushing her off balance, causing her to land on her back. "Thanks, mom."

She chuckled and hugged us back. "Anything for my kittens."

We went and cleaned up, then headed for the dining room for breakfast. It was more of a feast. We ate and talked about random things until we reached the quirk topic.

"Wanna go check your quirks today? If we leave in an hour, we can return by the time the lab is made." Akihime turned to us and asked.

"I don't mind," I said and turned to Nozomi. She just shrugged.

"Finish your breakfast and go get ready," Akihime said.

After the meal, we went to our room to get ready for the quirk test. In an hour, we were standing in front of the staircase with our Akihime waiting for our chauffeur.

An elderly man with shoulder-length grey hair tied in a ponytail, wearing butler attire, walked up to us. "Miss, your ride is ready. Please follow me." Our most trusted and loyal servant, Renjiro Saito, said.

We headed outside and found a sleek black limo parked there. Saito walked ahead of us and opened the back door for us. We entered, and he moved to the driver's seat. Our journey to the hospital began.

"What kind of quirks do you expect? Maybe something like my charm voice?" Akihime asked with more enthusiasm than us.

"I am not really expecting anything," I said with a relaxed voice.

"Me too," Nozomi said with a shrug.

Akihime looked confused. "Why not?"

"We already have overwhelming strength and brilliant minds. If we got a quirk, we would be God's favourite children." I told a cover story.

"You forgot our faces and natural beauty we carry around," Nozomi added with her usual smugness while flinging a strand of her black hair back. This earned her chuckles from me and Akihime.

"But you should expect something at least," Akihime tried to motivate us.

"Don't get me wrong, I still hope to get something, but I expect nothing more than I expect something," I answered truthfully.

Akihime pouted playfully. "You are more mature than you're supposed to be. If you're right and don't get any quirk, I expect you both to be sad so that I can baby you."

After a while, we were in front of a doctor. "I am sorry, but neither of you has any quirks." He said with a solemn expression.

Nozomi and I shrugged and then turned to Akihime, but then froze. Her eyes were narrowed at us, her slits looking at us dangerously.

'Why do I feel threatened? I can level a whole block.' Nozomi's voice rang out in my head.

'Nozomi, you clearly didn't know the dangers a mother could pose.' I retorted in my head and decided to put on my best performance. It was anything but bad. I was taught by the great Izanami herself.

Tears started to fill my eyes, threatening to flow down. Nozomi was no different.

"Mom, does that mean we'll be quirkless?" I asked in a shaky voice.

"We can't be like Almight?" Nozomi asked in the same shaky voice. The doctor took this as his cue and left the room.

Akihime looked a bit surprised by our crying, but then hugged us. "That's not true, my babies. You can be heroes even without quirks." She reassured us with genuine worry in her voice.

After a while of crying and reassuring, we stopped 'crying' and headed home. As soon as we arrived, we headed to check out the new lab.

We entered a big white room with tables and some equipment. The lab was divided into two chambers, both as big as a basketball court. Saito was in charge of supervising us. After investigating, we placed some orders for a couple of things we need.

"What should we make first?" Nozomi asked as she came from the other chamber of the lab. We decided to make it the testing center.

I turned to her and smirked. "You know what I am thinking?"
