Chapter 41 - [41]: Club Planning and Departure

However, considering Wakana's usual work, he felt that forcing him to participate in club activities was not a good thing.

After all, for most people, clubs are just one way of life.

Wakana's life had already become colorful due to Marin's arrival.

There was no need to join any club activities to add color to his life, let alone the fact that he had no such idea.

The best club to join would be one that could help him hone his skills.

Otherwise, it would be better to find a part-time job.

Thinking about the famous clubs in Japanese anime he had seen in the past, there were all sorts of strange types.

There were chess clubs with only a few members, eccentric art clubs, doujin clubs that made bishoujo games, and clubs whose purpose was to help others.

Step by step! What a good manga!

It seemed most of them existed because of a special person.

Akira smiled softly, feeling a bit of choice paralysis, as his behavior was like deliberately looking for things to do.

"Akira-kun."

"Hmm?"

Akira looked up when he heard Wakana.

"It seems our school's clubs have stopped recruiting members."

"Actually, I'm not very interested in the school's clubs either."

Akira waved his hand, suddenly feeling he had spoken a bit casually.

"Joining those ordinary clubs always makes me feel ordinary too."

Akira hesitated, "Actually, I have an idea of wanting to start my own club."

"Eh? You're thinking of starting a club in your first year?"

Wakana looked shocked, but it was also very much like the Akira he knew.

He always felt that anything he said he could accomplish.

After all, he was quite envious when he saw Akira and Sajuna walking together. If Kitagawa-san was like that with him too, how wonderful would that be?

"Wakana, if you were to join a club, what would you hope for?"

"Eh? I don't understand."

"That is, do you hope the club has any particular purpose?"

Wakana said, looking embarrassed, "I hope to be able to do my own things in the club. After all, I still have to spend time practicing making Hina Dolls."

"And practicing at school is not as convenient as at home."

"That's also why I haven't participated in activities at school. I always feel that I'm closer to the Hina Dolls I make. Hahaha, Akira-kun must think I'm strange."

"Don't say strange things, Wakana."

Akira thought for a moment and felt it would be best to bring in his close friends.

In that case, the club's structure could only be like a Service Club, capable of doing all sorts of odd jobs.

However, he didn't find helping others to be an annoying thing.

"I remember that starting a club requires four people, right?"

Akira suddenly remembered, then froze.

He didn't seem to have that many friends.

"Wakana, do you know any friends? Ones you could bring into the club?"

"No, I barely interact with anyone except Kitagawa-san and Akira-kun."

Wakana replied, looking a little downcast.

Akira finished the last bit of rice in his bento box, stood up, and ended their lunchtime conversation.

Now that he had made up his mind, he would think of various solutions.

After all, as students, they weren't limited to joining just one club; they could just be nominal members.

After afternoon classes, Akira walked to the shoe locker with his backpack, took off his indoor shoes, and took out the outdoor shoes he would wear next from the shoe locker.

"Akira-kun."

"Akira-kun."

Pleasant voices came from beside him, followed by Wakana's greeting.

Akira looked up, holding his backpack with one hand and gently pinching the back of his shoe with the other. He pulled the shoe up with force, then gently stomped twice to ensure a comfortable fit, and only then did he greet them.

"Kitagawa-san, Wakana."

"Akira-kun, do you have any plans after school?" Marin leaned over curiously, her face full of happiness.

"Since Akira-kun and Juju-sama are boyfriend and girlfriend, are you going on a date after school?" Marin hugged her face. "Thinking that such a cute Juju-sama also has a boyfriend, I suddenly feel so envious."

"That's a shame, Kitagawa-san." Akira smiled, denying her speculation. "I'm going to work."

"Ah?! So there's no romantic comedy playing out."

Kitagawa said with a long face, looking dejected, her hands waving weakly in the air.

Sure enough, adult life was inseparable from work.

"Kitagawa-san, aren't you also going to work?" Akira said reasonably.

"That's true. After all, cosplay is quite an expensive hobby. If I don't have enough money, it won't be enough." Marin said with confidence.

Then, as if remembering something, she leaned in and said, "Akira-kun, could you do me a favor?"

"What is it?"

Akira didn't dislike Marin; in fact, he liked her very much, so he would probably help with Kitagawa's request.

"Can you let Juju-sama cosplay with me in a group?!"

Marin said, full of longing and expectation.

"Akira-kun can come too."

Akira happened to have a request for Wakana to help him make cosplay costumes, and Marin's request coincided perfectly with his own.

"Alright."

"Oh, ha!"

Marin responded in a daze, then realized Akira's decisiveness. He didn't even tell her to wait?

Could Akira-kun already decide things for Juju-sama?

"I was just about to tell Wakana to help me make a cosplay costume."

Akira looked at Wakana, who was looking at him. "Sajuna said before that she wanted to cosplay Nikaido Shion from 'Flower Princess!! Fire!' together."

"Eh! Juju-sama is going to cosplay Nikaido Shion?!" Marin exclaimed, then put a finger to her lips. "But Juju-sama used to cosplay Shizuku-chan too."

"Yes, so this time she's going to cosplay her black lily era outfit. It's a different style, you know."

Akira reminded him.

"Wakana hasn't looked into it yet, has he?"

Wakana shook his head. "I have no idea. After all, I hadn't been exposed to anime before."

"The Shizuku outfit I made for Kitagawa-san before was also from 'Wet Girl!' that Kitagawa-san lent me."

"There's no need to say that name, alright?"

Akira said with a bead of sweat on his forehead, as he was also someone who cared about his image.

He still couldn't talk about his experience of playing eroge without batting an eye.

He couldn't possibly say that his previous gaming experience was just to go for it.
