It was one of those busy nights in the office, you know, some dozing on their desktops, some looking at their screen with empty eyes devoid of all life,you know as you would expect at 3am on the freaking morning!
I was finishing up the weapons,majic and majic effect code for a game the company I work at, Revolutionary Engines was set on releasing in a few weeks time.
You know life is bleek when you're 27 and yet you have never had a single romantic relationship,it doesn't really tug on my heart strings or anything...is what I have everyone around me think.The though of having a partner who understands me for what and who I am does exite me.I mean ,I lived with my mom most of my life . She was the only family I knew
Unfortunately though she died last year.Her dead really rattled me.I eventually picked myself up and encouraged myself to live a life she'd be proud of.
That's how I landed a job in one of the largest game dev companies ever.
Anyway back on topic,the game we were working on was called AVALON. An MMORPG boasting a large open world and high tear battle mechanics that players would surely enjoy.
I should mention the basic storyline of the game,the end goal of the game is to beat the demon king who's being controlled by abyssal creatures called The void .
The game world boasts a whopping 2 super continents.One of he continents called AVALON. is where most of the game's storyline plays out.
The second continent called "THE FALLEN CONTINENT". is home to numerous voids and THE VOID KING.
"I really liked the storyline of the game which is kinda ironic considering I was being worked to death because of it."These were my thoughts until I was rudely interrupted by the kid horn sound of an incoming truck, before I could react, I was hit by the truck.
I was flung a good 5m back before friction stopped my body.I gazed at the pitch black sky as I pondered my life and tried to grapple with the fact that I might die ,"Is this how I'm going to go out ,no notable achievement,no relatives and no as many friends as I'd hoped I'd make at that age...but I really don't want to die I promised ,I promised mom I'd live a life she'd be proud of I can't ...I can't just give up. No not here..."all these thoughts raced through my mind as I tried to cling to the little life I had left.
The truck driver had called 911 and the ambulances picked me up and took me to the hospital.
On the way though,I heard voices in a language I couldn't "My lady please hang on, don't die in me ,please."The voice said while sobbing profusely.I got a blurry image of the owner of the voice and the situation.
I should mention that I'd blacked out after the truck hit me.From what I could see in the blurry imagery,I was being dragged somewhere, probably on some kind of stretcher ,with a blonde girl looking hovering over me .
I saw this Image and blacked out again.
"Fine then,if you won't let me live in this world then take me to another and grant me such a power that I can de code who died and who lives.Grant me at least this one wish,this I ask of any deity out there...please ... I"
