Chapter 60 - The Children of the Magna Family

For the first time in a long while Drax stayed home. No towers,No monsters, No rogue Inner World users trying to kill him...No collapsing dimensions..Just home.

And strangely enough…that felt harder to adjust to than battle.

A few days passed quietly in Norn.

The world outside continued spiraling into chaos while giant white towers stood across continents like silent gods judging humanity.

Governments panicked.

Guilds mobilized.

Unmeasurable rankers vanished into towers and never came back.

Entire cities near towers were evacuated.

And yet inside the Magna household life continued.

Lyra still went to the market early every morning.

Ellis still ran through the house yelling random nonsense.

Mira still fell asleep halfway through essence training.

And Tess…

Tess practically lived there now.

At first she only visited occasionally.

Then she started staying for dinner.

Then helping Lyra cook.

Then helping Mira train.

Then yelling at Ellis for climbing onto furniture with wooden swords pretending to be a tower conqueror.

At some point the house simply accepted her presence naturally.

Even Lyra started saying things like "Tess dear, can you pass me the salt? Or Tess, make sure Drax actually eats properly."

Which usually resulted in Drax staring at everyone like he'd somehow lost authority in his own house. Not that anyone listened.

One afternoon Drax sat outside beneath the large tree near the house while Mira practiced controlling her essence.

Soft green particles floated around her body.

Not unstable anymore it was Controlled, Gentle, Warm even.

Meanwhile Ellis sat nearby with his eyes closed trying to imitate her—

only for silver-blue essence to explode outward accidentally and send leaves flying everywhere.

Ellis opened one eye slowly.

"…I think I'm talented."

Drax looked at the destroyed flower pot beside him.

"You're definitely something."

Tess laughed quietly while sitting on the porch steps.

Mira crossed her legs again seriously.

"No distractions."

Ellis copied her posture dramatically.

"I too shall master the ancient arts."

"You literally almost blew yourself into the fence."

"Growth requires sacrifice."

"You sound stupid."

"You wound me spiritually."

Drax rubbed his forehead.

"How are you both related to me?"

Lyra walked outside carrying drinks.

"You were just as bad at their age."

Drax immediately replied—

"That's propaganda."

Tess almost choked laughing.

Hours later—

the sun began setting.

Golden light spread across the yard while Mira and Ellis continued training.

This time Drax decided to properly inspect their Inner Worlds.

Not casually.

Seriously.

He leaned against the tree with his arms folded.

"Mephilisto."

Darkness rippled beside him.

Then the Spirit of the Abyssal World manifested quietly.

Long black hair.

Dark dress flowing like smoke.

Red eyes glowing faintly beneath the evening sky.

Mephilisto glanced at Drax lazily.

"You only call me when something interesting happens."

"You complain too much."

"You named me after making up nonsense on the spot."

"And it worked."

She sighed dramatically.

"Unfortunately."

Tess watched Mephilisto carefully.

Even now, her Inner World remained calm around the spirit of the Abyss.

That alone was abnormal.

Most people instinctively recoiled from Mephilisto's presence.

Tess didn't.

Mephilisto noticed too.

"Hm."

"What?"

"You really are strange."

Tess crossed her arms.

"I'll take that as a compliment."

"You shouldn't."

Drax interrupted before they started arguing.

"Check Mira first."

Mephilisto nodded.

Then her eyes glowed softly.

The world around Mira shifted slightly.

Green essence spread outward.

And suddenly everyone standing nearby felt warmth.

Not physical warmth.

Something deeper.

Comfort.

Peace.

Like exhaustion itself was being washed away.

Mephilisto looked into Mira's subconsciousness quietly.

Then for the first time in a while her expression genuinely changed.

"…Interesting."

Drax narrowed his eyes.

"What is it?"

Mephilisto looked toward Mira.

"That child…"

The air filled with soft green light.

And slowly an image appeared behind Mira.

An endless world of green plains beneath warm sunlight.

Massive glowing trees stretched toward the heavens.

Floating petals drifted endlessly through the air.

Rivers of silver-green light flowed across the land like living essence.

Beneath the earth gigantic roots carried energy throughout the entire world.

At the center stood a tree unlike anything else.

White.

Gold.

Radiant.

Beautiful beyond words.

The Heart Tree.

Its branches spread endlessly across the sky while healing essence flowed from it naturally like breathing.

Mira unconsciously opened her eyes slightly.

Green light reflected inside them.

Mephilisto spoke softly.

"Her Inner World is called the Evergreen Sanctum."

Evergreen Sanctum

Tess stared quietly at the manifestation.

Even Drax looked surprised.

"It's a hybrid-type world," Mephilisto continued.

"Centered around life… healing… restoration… spiritual purification… and soul resonance."

Mira blinked slowly.

"…That sounds complicated."

"It is."

Mephilisto's eyes narrowed slightly.

"But that's not the dangerous part."

The green essence around Mira shifted.

Suddenly—

silver-white light mixed into the world.

And the atmosphere changed instantly.

Drax felt it immediately.

Divinity.

Purification.

Authority.

A force fundamentally opposed to corruption itself.

Mephilisto continued calmly.

"She possesses another energy within the Evergreen Sanctum."

"Skillapsis."

The moment the name was spoken—

the silver-white light intensified.

Tess instinctively straightened.

Even Drax's Abyss reacted faintly.

"Skillapsis," Mephilisto said quietly, "is a divine polarity force tied to purification… anti-corruption… anti-demonic authority… and fatal healing."

Mira looked confused.

"…Fatal healing?"

Mephilisto nodded.

"She can heal something so intensely that corrupted beings literally begin breaking apart."

Everyone went silent.

Drax stared at his little sister.

Then laughed quietly.

"So you're secretly terrifying."

Mira puffed her cheeks.

"I'm not scary."

"You absolutely are."

Mephilisto smirked slightly.

"Against undead… demons… corrupted monarch servants… plague entities… abyss-corrupted monsters…"

"She would be lethal."

The Heart Tree behind Mira glowed brighter.

Mephilisto continued explaining.

"Her passive ability is called Nature Resonance."

"Plants, wounded creatures, and living beings subconsciously calm around her."

"Her essence naturally stabilizes damaged essence circuits… removes corruption… slows poison spread… and accelerates recovery."

Tess looked amazed.

"She's basically a miracle healer."

"Yes," Mephilisto replied.

"An extremely dangerous one."

Mira tilted her head.

"So what abilities would I get later?"

Mephilisto smiled faintly.

"Essence Bloom."

"Sanctuary Field."

"World Root Healing."

"Divine Purge."

"And Eden Reflection."

Mira's eyes widened.

"…That sounds cool."

Drax rubbed her head gently.

"You'll become strong."

Mira smiled proudly.

Then immediately yawned afterward.

Everyone ignored it.

Drax looked toward Ellis next.

"Your turn."

Ellis immediately sat up dramatically.

"Finally."

Silver-blue essence started leaking around him naturally.

Wild.

Sharp.

Instinctive.

Mephilisto observed him quietly.

Then her expression changed again.

"…Another rare one."

The world around Ellis darkened slightly.

Not ominous.

Ancient.

The manifestation appeared behind him.

A massive dark-blue world beneath endless stars.

Silver forests stretched endlessly.

Floating mountains drifted across the heavens.

Celestial rivers glowed beneath moonlight.

Snow-covered plains reflected the stars above.

And across that world—

enormous wolf-like creatures roamed freely.

Not monsters.

Predators.

Ancient beings carrying royal pressure.

At the center—

beneath the stars—

something slept.

A gigantic wolf entity.

Massive beyond reason.

Silent.

Ancient.

Royal.

The First Fang.

Ellis stared wide-eyed.

"…WOAH."

Drax smirked slightly.

"That suits you."

Mephilisto crossed her arms.

"His Inner World is Astral Fang."

"Unlike your overwhelming dominance," she told Drax, "Ellis will fight like a celestial predator."

Silver-blue essence flowed around Ellis naturally.

Wild but elegant.

Mephilisto continued—

"His passive ability is Instinct Evolution."

"The longer he fights… the sharper his senses, reflexes, and combat adaptation become."

"His body naturally evolves during battle."

Ellis looked excited immediately.

"So I get stronger while fighting?!"

Drax smirked.

"Sounds familiar."

Mephilisto nodded.

"His essence is silver-blue… feral… and star-like."

"When released fully, it creates pressure similar to ancient predators."

Tess looked impressed.

"Your whole family is ridiculous."

Lyra sighed from the porch.

"I was hoping at least one of my children would live a normal life."

Everyone looked at Drax.

Then the giant manifestations behind Mira and Ellis.

Then silently looked away.

Lyra covered her face.

"…Never mind."

Ellis jumped excitedly.

"What abilities do I get?!"

Mephilisto glanced toward him.

"Eventually?"

"Lunar Hunt."

"Star Fang Manifestation."

"Celestial Beast Embodiment."

"Astral Territory."

"And…"

Her eyes narrowed slightly.

"Predator's Instinct."

The moment those words were spoken—

the giant sleeping wolf inside Ellis's Inner World slowly opened one eye.

Just briefly.

And the pressure alone made the entire yard tremble slightly.

Everyone went silent.

Ellis blinked.

"…Did I do that?"

Drax stared at his younger brother quietly.

Then slowly smiled.

"Yeah."

"You did."
