Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Becoming a 1 star 5 edge wizard

Yan Jiang sat down next to his mother at the table, only now noticing the food on the table. The table was long, and the food on it looked beautiful and delicious. It resembled the kitchen of a seven-star luxury hotel in his previous life, and there was so much food that it could have fed 100 men. Apparently, his parents had specially prepared meals for him.

Yan Jiang had never sat at a table like this in his previous life. The table was filled with steaks, various entrecôtes, chicken, side dishes, pastries, and juicy cuts of meat. Yan Jiang's mouth watered at the sight; he felt a ravenous hunger. His newly rebuilt body needed a lot of nourishment.

At that moment, a pair of curious blue eyes were watching him. Yan Jiang met their gaze. She had long black hair, large deep blue eyes, and a delicate little face. It was his adorable 10-year-old younger sister, Yue Jiang. He wasted no time smiling at the sweet girl. Yue Jiang was embarrassed, blushed, and bowed her head.

Seeing this, Yan Jiang merely laughed, a slight smirk playing on his lips. Looking at his sister, he taunted, "Little Yue doesn't recognize her older brother?"

The little girl's blue eyes suddenly widened. First, she looked at Yan Jiang, then, looking at her mother in surprise, she asked, "Mom, is this handsome man my older brother? But wasn't my older brother sick, and his appearance was terrible?" with curiosity and confusion.

Hearing this, Mei (her mother) immediately remembered her son's past state, and a pang of sadness washed over her, but she quickly dispelled it. Her son was now well and healthy. That was all that mattered to her, nothing else. She immediately smiled gently at her sweet daughter, "Yes, honey, he's your big brother. He was sick, but he's recovered. He'll always be with us now," she said with a relaxed smile. Her eyes were red again as she said this.

Seeing her mother on the verge of tears again, Yan Jiang quickly grabbed her hand and said, "Don't worry, Mom, I'm always with you now and will always protect you. That's why I don't want to see you cry again," he said with a bright, fresh smile.

Mei quickly wiped her eyes, shook her son's hand, and smiled. Watching this scene, Wei Jiang (his father) was moved, but didn't show it. He was the father, and the head of the Jiang family. To break the awkward atmosphere, he immediately switched to a different topic: "Shall we all go on a city tour tomorrow? Then we'll have dinner at a nice restaurant. What do you say? We haven't been out together in a long time," he said.

Hearing this, Mei happily exclaimed, "Yes, we should definitely go! Yan'er can get some fresh air, and we can have the family outing we've been longing for." Little Yue was also excited. She hadn't seen her family this vibrant and happy in a long time. She also raised her hands in joy and cheered, "Let's go! Let's go!"

When Yan Jiang saw this painting, he began to experience emotions he had never experienced before with intensity. This filled him with incredible happiness and motivation, because if this world weren't safe as he had imagined, it was a world of magic and warriors. In this world, safety was achieved through strength. Therefore, he had to protect his family's happiness.

Wei Jiang, who was caring for his family, was overjoyed and content. His only son had recovered, becoming a handsome and well-built young man. Now he had someone else he could trust, and he was his heir.

He immediately glanced at his son. He was eyeing the food like a wolf staring at a lamb. This made him smile. "We can start eating now. Before the food gets cold and Yan'er starts attacking it," he said half-jokingly.

His wife, Mei, smiled at this, sensing her son's hunger. It made sense; he hadn't had a proper meal in a long time.

"You can eat as much as you like, honey. You don't have to worry about etiquette around us," she said gently, patting his son's back.

"Thanks, Mom. If we'd waited any longer, the food wouldn't have been as good as Dad said," he joked. He immediately started tucking into his food. Steak in one hand, pie in the other... Then, instead of a spoon, he gulped down the soup from his bowl and drank it down. Of course, he knew the rules of etiquette from his memories, but he wasn't in the mood for them right now. Indeed, after eating the fruit, he was incredibly hungry.

While Yan Jiang was clearing the food from the table, his mother smiled and watched her son gently. It brought her great joy to see her son so full of vitality and energy.

But little Yue felt as if she were watching a monster, and as strange as it was, it was entertaining. Father Wei was also smiling. This pleased him, because the more food a person eats, the stronger their body becomes; they are in equal proportion. Knowing this principle, he had high hopes for his son. He wondered how much the fruit he ate had strengthened his body? His strength was evident in his build.

After about 30 minutes, Yan Jiang had devoured more than half the food on the table and was barely full. He quickly downed a bottle of wine and sat back in his chair. His family paid no attention to his slovenly demeanor; they were simply delighted.

Finally, Father Wei spoke: "We will portray this miraculous recovery as the blessing of an old wizard," he said solemnly.

Mother Mei and Yan Jiang nodded. They couldn't tell the same story to anyone; it would have looked too suspicious. Yan Jiang had said the same thing anyway; it had happened thanks to a fruit an old man gave him in his dream, so it was almost the same thing.

The family ate dinner. Yan Jiang, using the excuse of having just recovered, quickly returned to his room. It wasn't yet night, and the maids were due to arrive. All he wanted to do was use up his remaining two shakes.

Quickly focusing his mind, he summoned the Lucky Ball. The blue glowing ball appeared in front of him. Although still surprised by this scene, he was incredibly excited. The first gift was magnificent, having healed him, given him a new body, and strengthened him.

What would the remaining two gifts be like? He was filled with great anticipation. He immediately shook it and released it. The ball began to vibrate again. When it reached its peak, the immense glow blinded Yan Jiang. When he opened his eyes, a beam of light was floating before him. In an instant, the beam of light entered his mind through his forehead. Unlike before, his mind no longer felt like it would shatter against the overwhelming flood of information. Where previous memory inheritance almost caused his brain to explode, he could now process the data with ease.

The information transfer was complete after 20 minutes. Yan Jiang, examining the information, was instantly overwhelmed with joy and excitement, his eyes wide with excitement. This knowledge gave him the power to protect himself and his family in this world.

His gift had bestowed upon him the inheritance of a Five-Edged, Five-Star mage. His system hadn't fully explained the level system of this world, but a Five-Star mage must be powerful, as mages started at 1 Star, granting him the knowledge, moves, and skills of magic from 1 Star to 5 Star.

He quickly compiled the information and examined the requirements for becoming a wizard. To become a wizard, you needed an Etheric Stone. This stone was essential for creating the first star, as it was supposed to be a catalyst for the stellar energy in nature. If you had Etheric Dust, it would be more effective and easier, but since you didn't even know where to get Etheric Stone, you wondered how you could get it. Then you thought, "I'll consult my father," but then you remembered the last chance you had to shake the lucky ball. You had another chance, didn't you?

You shook the ball once more, thinking it might give you an Etheric Stone you needed. A bottle appeared before you after the bright light. According to the information you received from the Lucky Ball, it was the Etheric Dust you desperately needed. And it was in powder form. Today was a beautiful day; everything you needed was right at your fingertips.

He poured the Etheric Dust around himself, surrounding himself. He quickly undressed and took his stance according to his intuition. He began reciting the initiation mantra for sorcery: "I am in the universe, and the universe is me; the stars are order, and order is me." As he recited the mantra, the dust around him began to shimmer and absorb into his body. Slowly, through the mantra, it traveled through the star paths in his body and gathered into the newly formed star void space beneath his heart. Slowly, it began to form a single-sided glowing star.

Gradually, the dust condensed into five sides until it was absorbed, and the resulting star began to glow completely. A power he had never felt before began to course through Yan Jiang's body; it felt as if he were a volcano ready to erupt.

He slowly opened his eyes. A blue aura emanated from his body. His naked body seemed carved from stars. He immediately stood up and put on his nightgown. He was so content and satisfied that he now had a place and status in this world. He had the strength to protect himself and his family. As long as he continued to cultivate like this, the day would come when he would reach the pinnacle of this kingdom, no, this continent.

Then there was a knock on the door. Yan Jiang's mouth curled into a devilish smile. "You may enter," he commanded mockingly.

The door opened immediately. Sera and Nessie had arrived. Although still in their maid outfits, they had applied their makeup and were wearing sexy garters. Both were as red as tomatoes.

Yan Jiang flopped down on the bed. He crossed his legs comfortably, radiating an imposing presence. As the girls looked at him, they thought their young master had become even more alluring and commanding.

"I didn't summon you just to stand there, did I? Come here," he commanded.

The girls, though deeply embarrassed, slowly approached the bed. A passionate fervor soon consumed the room. Soon after, the air grew thick with heat, and a muffled chorus of pleasure began to echo. Yan Jiang had wisely cast a Soundproofing Charm, for otherwise, the entire castle might have awoken.
