But the possibility was staring her in the face with a cold smirk.

Claire couldn't help but notice the hope in her own voice.

And his eyes glowed brightly, holding no trace of the disgust or foreboding she had expected to see there.
He was not going to marry her in the foreseeable future so what good could come of having his child?
