He touched a hand to his thumping chest.
"Me?"
She kept fumbling with the attachments on her body. She was wearing a blue hospital gown.
Kirby moved before him, freeing her from the contraption that binded her.
"Can you walk?" He heard Kirby ask.
Another version of him?
"Ray, let's go. We'll talk about it when we get out of here." Sarah said, grabbing a bunch of keys from the table.
When he still didn't move, she grabbed him by the hand and pulled him along.
They didn't head towards the entrance, they headed towards the back of the building, bursting at a garage with several cars.
Sarah stopped, fumbling with the keys.
The sensory lights came alive all through the room, nearly blinding them with its intensity.
A car honked a distance away.
"That's the one."
They rushed towards it. When they got to the car, Sarah tossed him the keys.
Why did everything feel too… easy? He asked himself.
"What are you doing, Ray? We have to leave."
