Zero stared at the man before him. Had the system just malfunctioned or what? How was he going to defeat a guy like this? It was impossible. Was this the system's way of telling him, he was too useless to do anything?
"Hey come on. Show me what you've got. I can't have you tracking all my moves when I don't know your ability?" The man taunted and Zero grinned.
Then he struggled to wriggle free from the grip but he was far from free. The grip only tightened harder. He then decided to attack him either way as he knew he could not fight himself out.
He threw a slow punch at the man but he dodged it rather too easily that it felt like he wasn't trying to dodge.
"You are sloppy for someone who could read my attacks. Guess you are useless after all. I will just help your teammates kill you." He said and intensified his grip on his neck.
[HP: 8/10]
"Damn. He certainly wants to kill me." Zero muttered and with all his might, he pulled the man closer and dug his right knee into his stomach forcing him to release the grip.
Zero used the situation as an opportunity. He quickly dashed towards him and landed a kick on the right ear with all his might. The man fell to the ground coughing out blood. His HP had reduced to 27 by now.
"Ok. All I have to do is keep hitting him while he is still guessing my move." Zero muttered under his breath and sent another kick to the man's face causing him to spin in the left direction.
Zero then rushed to him and the moment he tried to stamp his feet against his head, the man dissolved into his shadow. The man then slipped from behind him and swung him to crash against the ground.
The impact reduced Zero's HP to [5/10]. Zero cursed under his breath and just as he tried to standing, his leg swept off the ground to land directly on the man's knee. Zero could feel a bone in his head crack.
"You fool. I'll make you pay for touching my HP." The man cursed and ran towards Zero. Then he knocked him down with a kick.
[HP critically low: 3/10]
The man stood over him grinning widely. Zero just stared around the room. He could see that Becky's ice had dimmed giving the room more thick shadows.
"Becky. Illuminate the room!!!" He muttered just before the man whacked him on the head.
Becky had been facing the slim guy. It was clear to her that this team's combination was balanced something similar to what Zero wanted. She was sure they could if she was fast enough to defeat this guy and help Zero against the level 3.
The guy had wind as his ability which made all his attacks to be useless. No matter how many ice arrows she shot at him, he countered it with his wind.
The wind attribute was a solid one which could be used for both offense and defense at the same time. But it was difficult to master. Most people ended up at level 5 or 6 like Zero's uncle.
"You are a hell of a Wind User." Becky commented. The guy smiled wryly.
"You happen to be a good one yourself. You will make a tough player on the battlefield but too bad that your talent is going to go to waste." The guy said and raised his hands up high.
"You have been attacking, now it's time for mine." He said rather confidently and then the air around her seized.
She began to cough violently, her eyes reddening from the attack. She tried to pull back from the attack but the guy shifted his left hand and forced her into his space.
"You'll have to suffocate and die." The man said as he could see her 50 HP draining up. It was now at 35 HP. Whereas his was still at 37/40.
"You look so sweet over there." He commented as he saw her struggling to get up. Her eyes were completely red and she was getting tired of coughing.
Just then the air shifted back to normal and the man was sent crashing against the wall. Becky looked around to see what happened but she was shocked when she saw Zero all beaten up to crap.
"Becky illuminate the room!!!" He exclaimed just before the shadow user man slammed his leg against his head.
Becky quickly understood what happened. Zero had thrown a lying wood at the wind user just to buy her time to illuminate the room for him to see his opponent better and nullify his ability. At the same time, she was saved from the crushing effect of the wind user's attack. It was pretty impressive considering it was thought out by a level 1.
She quickly waved her hands and a large crystal ice began to form which illuminated the room brightly. Zero sighed as he saw that he had made it in time. His HP was reading [2/10].
He wasn't fit enough to take down his opponent but now he stood a better chance at that. He remembered the system giving him additional stat point.
"System add all my extra stat point to Strength." He said quietly.
[Strength :7]
He grinned and as the man came towards him for a finishing blow, Zero quickly rotated upwards and with all his might, he punched the man hard on his stomach.
He had been attacking the face of the man forgetting that he was a living experiment on the vital points in a human. He was it still applicable here in the university.
The man coughed out blood as his HP dropped down to 15. Zero smiled. The extra 2 stat made his punch stronger and the fact that he had struck a vital point made it even more efficient.
"You've got to be kidding. How?" The man blurted as he stared at his HP.
Zero didn't give him enough time to gulp down the attack. He swung his leg to strike basically on his neck. Upon contact, Zero could hear the soft bones breaking apart.
The man was sent crashing against the door. Zero then dashed forward with his speed and his he had greater agility, he quickly ducked under the man's attack and rotated upwards to strike him on his back.
"Fuck....Grghhh" the man spat out blood. His lips were red with his own blood. His eyes danced in fear as he noticed that his HP has dropped down to 4.
"Wait... please. I'm begging you. I can leave this room and never come back." The man said but Zero's eyes glinted with excitement.
"No can't do."
"Please... anything man.."
"Then you're teleportation stone. I want it. That's all." Zero said and dropped his leg right on the man's neck slowly intensifying his strength.
"Okay. Here have it." The man said and Zero smiled as the man three it in front of him.
"Good now..." he said and smiled. "I still have unfinished business with you." Zero said removed his leg only to use the other leg step against the man's throat.
The man wanted to speak but he could only vomit blood on Zero's shoe. Zero looked at his watch. [0/30 HP]
