Chapter 157 - Chapter 156 Discovering A New Use For The Half-Dragon Maid

"That sounds nice, but it's all about not allowing destruction or injury. In the end, it's better not to fight at all." Crassus said, a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

Brandley chuckled awkwardly. From the Gray Temple's perspective, the conflict between ice and fire was best avoided in Chaos City. If it broke out, they had to be prepared for half of Aden Square to be destroyed—a catastrophic event.

"Don't worry, we won't fight for now. Besides, what happened this morning wasn't a conflict between ice and fire, but between savory and sweet." Crassus said calmly. He looked at Brandley for a moment, then added, "I have my own servants. I don't need a little guy like you, with your clumsy legs, running errands. I plan to stay in Chaos City. But since you're here today, take me to find a magic room, preferably a new one."

"There are a few newer magic rooms in the Gray Temple's headquarters that were built just two years ago. Lord Crassus, you can use them directly if you need them." Brandley said with a smile.

He really wanted to emphasize that his legs were not yet incapacitated, but he swallowed his words. Crassus clearly didn't want the people from the Gray Temple to follow him, and he also needed to report his plan to settle in Chaos City as soon as possible. After all, Yulian was currently running a magic potion shop in Aden Square. The two of them living in Chaos City were like two fireballs that could explode at any moment, and he would have to be on guard against them at all times.

"The Gray Temple's headquarters won't do, it's too far. It's inconvenient for the children to travel back and forth for meals." Crassus thought for a moment, then shook his head.

"Then what do you think…" Brandley hesitated as he looked at Crassus. There were indeed quite a few mages in the Chaos City, but there were actually not many magic rooms belonging to the Gray Temple that could be made available for Crassus to use, and they were all located in the Gray Temple's headquarters. He didn't expect that it would be rejected just because it would be inconvenient for the child to come home.

"I remember Chaos Academy also has magic classes, right? Why don't you ask them to clear out a magic room for me to use for a while?" Crassus thought for a moment and nodded.

"Well, I'm afraid it won't work at Chaos Academy…" Brandley hesitated. Chaos Academy and Gray Temple are independent of each other. Although some mages from Gray Temple work at Chaos Academy, but even he doesn't have the authority to ask Chaos Academy to allocate a magic room for Crassus.

This matter needs to be reported to the roundtable meeting to confirm that it will not affect the normal teaching of Chaos Academy. Only after it is approved can a request be made to the principal of Chaos Academy. The final decision rests with the principal.

This complicated process will take at least two days. He overheard Crassus and Mai Ge's conversation and was planning to resolve the magic room issue this afternoon. Choosing Chaos Academy would make it impossible.

"Let's go. Just take me directly to see the principal, and I'll handle the rest." Crassus turned and walked towards the exit, a smile playing on his lips as he muttered to himself, "It's been a few years since I've seen that kid, Norvan."

"He knows principal Norvan?" Brandley's eyes widened as he looked at Crassus retreating figure with disbelief. Norvan was the only level 10 archmage in Chaos City and also the most powerful mage in Chaos City. His position as principal was the most important reason why Chaos Academy was able to stand independently outside of the Gray Temple.

His eccentric personality meant that even the Lord of the Gray Temple and the City Lord had to give him some leeway. After all, he never showed the same smile to others as he did to children. The lottery ceremony for selecting people to contact Chaos Academy after each roundtable meeting was almost like drawing lots for a suicide squad.

"What's meant to be will be! Whatever, let's just die!" Although he was panicking, but Brandley gritted his teeth and quickly followed after Crassus as he watched him walk away. What had he done to deserve this suffering for an old man like him? He hadn't dared to do anything so exciting when he was young.

...

Inside the restaurant, after seeing off the last customer, Mai Ge finally breathed a sigh of relief. He stretched his wrists and shoulders, which were a little sore from constantly stir-frying rice, and looked at the 1,000 customers entering the restaurant task in his mind. The task had increased by over eighty new customers, bringing it to 632/1000. At this rate, it would only take two or three days to complete the task of increasing customer visits and dining in the restaurant. A smile involuntarily appeared on his face.

"Daddy, you've worked so hard. Let me give you a massage." Amy jogged over, looking at Mai Ge with concern. She stood on tiptoe and tried her best to massage Mai Ge's shoulders, but because she was too short and didn't have much strength, her little fists felt like tickling when they landed on his back.

However, when Mai Ge saw the serious look on Amy's face, he felt a warmth in his heart. In this world, only his precious daughter would care about him.

"Um, Boss, would you like me to massage your shoulders? I... I'm a bit stronger..." Yabemia said as she walked over, her hands behind her back nervously twisting together. Her cheeks were also a little flushed, as if she was thinking about something.

"Oh? Mia, you know how to massage?" Mai Ge turned around and looked at Mia with some surprise.

"Sigh..." Amy also withdrew her little hand, panting. She was tired after only massaging for a short while. She looked at Yabemia and pleaded, "Sister Mia, why don't you massage Daddy? I feel... I feel like I'm not strong enough."

"When I was little, I would give my mother a massage because she would squat and wash dishes almost all day while she was working, and when she got home, her back was so sore that she couldn't straighten up." Yabemia nodded, and a mist rose in her eyes as she spoke of her mother.

"Okay, Mia, then I'll leave it to you." Mai Ge said with a smile, leaning back comfortably in the chair and closing his eyes. He didn't offer any words of comfort, but after a pause, he added, "But you can't crush my bones."

"Pfft—" Yabemia, who was initially a little nervous, burst out laughing and shook her head seriously, saying, "No, don't worry, Boss, I'll control my strength."

"Then I'm relieved." Mai Ge nodded with a smile.

Yabemia walked behind Mai Ge, looked at Mai Ge with his eyes closed, raised her hand and hesitated for a moment before gently placing it on Mai Ge's shoulder. Her face turned even redder, and her hands, which had some fine calluses, trembled a little, as if she was very nervous.

"I'm going to sleep for a bit, you can do as you please." Mai Ge said with a slight smile, his breathing gradually calming down, as if he had fallen asleep in an instant.

"Oh...okay..." Yabemia nodded quickly, her tension disappearing almost entirely. She took a few deep breaths, placed her hands on Mai Ge's shoulders, and gently massaged them, gradually increasing the pressure from his neck to his shoulders and then to his arms.

Mai Ge felt a pair of skillful hands moving between his shoulders and neck, the pressure increasing just right, the technique excellent, so comfortable that he almost cried out.

"It seems I've discovered a new use for the half-dragon maid. This technique is quite good." Mai Ge thought to himself with satisfaction.
