Chapter 222 - Chapter 221 System, Are You Selling Italian Cannons?

"What's going on? Why isn't the restaurant open yet?"

"Boss Mai posted a notice saying he's out gathering ingredients and will be closed for the day!"

"No way! Does that mean I won't be able to eat tofu pudding and Yang Zhou Fried Rice all day?"

"What's wrong with Boss Mai? Has he gotten arrogant, or does he think we're too weak to fight?"

"Yes, he didn't even give us a notice beforehand. Not only did he make me come all this way for nothing, but I also have to kneel on a washboard for my wife when I get back. There's no way to explain this!"

A group of customers who had come early for breakfast were gathered at the restaurant entrance. They all sighed and complained when they heard what the people inside who had seen the notice were saying.

"Didn't Boss Mai say it would be six days followed by a one day break? It's only the second day, why is the restaurant suddenly closed?" Harrison asked, puzzled.

"Yes, I told Palmer to wait at home for a while this morning so I could bring him breakfast to eat before he went to school. Now that plan is ruined again." Jergi sighed, looking a bit of a headache.

"Didn't you guys see it? Boss Mai also said at the end that there would be new dishes tomorrow. I think he probably really went to get the ingredients today. Otherwise, given Boss Mai's personality, he definitely wouldn't stand us up like that." Mo Bai sighed and said at the blacksmith shop entrance. He was the first to see the notice. It was really disappointing that he couldn't have Yang Zhou Fried Rice this morning, but he still trusted Boss Mai's character.

"Yes, every new dish that Boss Mai makes brings us unparalleled surprises and delicious enjoyment. He even goes out of his way to source the ingredients himself. We should understand his ingenious ideas and his serious attitude."

"That's true, but I'll still quietly leave a knife here, hoping Boss Mai knows what he might face if he does this often." A young knight pulled a small knife from his waist and casually tossed it to the doorway.

"Clang, clang, clang..." Suddenly, there was a lot of clanging and banging at the door. Knives, daggers, and blades were piled up into a small mountain, and it was still growing.

"Is it closed today?" On a luxurious carriage outside, Gloria lifted a corner of the curtain and muttered to herself with a hint of disappointment. Although she was still wearing a veil, but she had changed into a light blue long dress, and her black cloak had been replaced with a silver one. The veil had also become much thinner and was now light blue.

She had completely shaken off her previous gloomy demeanor. Although her face was still obscured, but she gave off a completely different vibe. Her graceful figure and slightly wavy long hair would surely attract a lot of attention if she stepped out of the carriage.

"A new dish, it should be delicious..." she murmured softly, lowered the carriage curtain, and told the driver to go back. Luo Xi Ya had something to do today and didn't come.

The Burning Legion trio finally squeezed their way to the door, staring at the pile of blades and the notice on the door, finding it hard to accept.

"Boss, what should we do? I feel so weak if I don't eat a Rou Jia Mo all day!" Mond rubbed his bald head and said anxiously.

"Yes, I feel like I've suddenly lost my purpose in life today." Kiel also looked dejected.

"Bullshit! Look at you guys, even a genius like Boss Mai went out to get ingredients so early. How dare you be so sluggish? Do you have the right to give up on your goals?" Sargeras tapped the two on the forehead and waved his hand, saying, "Let's go, double the mission today. News came from the clan yesterday that the first batch of lava warriors has assembled and will be heading to Chaos City soon. We should at least treat our brothers who have come from afar to a hearty Rou Jia Mo, right?"

"For The Rou Jia Mo!" Kiel and Mond shouted at the same time, their eyes instantly filled with fighting spirit!

"That guy, Boss Mai, I thought something had happened to my precious apprentice when he called in sick for Amy. It seems she wasn't sick at all. He just took her out to play, right? It's only the second day of school, and she's already skipping class!" Crassus glared at the notice, his beard bristling. The sudden rise in temperature around him made the people next to him instinctively take a few steps back.

"So today's class is yours too. Amy will be taking classes with me the day after tomorrow." Yulian said with a hint of schadenfreude, standing to the side.

"Heh, you can only work for two days, and then Boss Mai will be on holiday again." Crassus suppressed his anger and looked at Yulian with a sneer.

"What's two days? If I teach her, one day is better than three days for some people." Yulian said hoarsely, his gaze towards Crassus carrying a hint of provocation.

"It seems you want to have a match?" Crassus narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked at Yulian and asked.

"If I don't get moving soon, I'll be too old." Yulian reached into his sleeve and a black magic wand appeared in his hand.

"Um... please calm down, two great mages... this place is too close to the restaurant... and the crowd is too dense..." Brandley forced himself to insert between the two, his magical shield fully extended, feeling the impact of ice and fire on both sides, and tried to persuade them with a helpless expression.

As a level seven mage, he was highly respected in the Gray Temple, but in front of these two living legends of the mage world, he was just a junior. His job recently was to keep an eye on them and prevent them from fighting...

This is truly a deadly job.

...

At the city gate, feeling the gazes of the crowd and the cold stare of the giant frost dragon in the sky, Mai Ge realized that they seemed to have been too high-profile. He stepped forward and shielded Amy behind him, looking at the giant frost dragon with some wariness. After all, he was no longer the dragon-slaying warrior who could ascend to the sky to slay dragons.

"System, are Italian cannons available for sale?" Mai Ge asked quickly in his mind.

"You can't afford it." the system said calmly.

"If I die, no one will buy from you anymore." Mai Ge continued.

"No, there's still a lot of demand for this classic version of the cannon." the system retorted.

"You're selling weapons to others, aren't you?" Mai Ge raised an eyebrow.

"Who said that? How could I do such a thing! Don't slander me! How can the affairs of this system be called 'selling'!" The system immediately became a little anxious.

The mercenaries looked at Mai Ge, who had immediately stepped in front of the little loli, with a hint of admiration. This man at least had some backbone.

However, angering a giant dragon is not something that can be easily forgiven. One can only hope that the giant dragon will be magnanimous and consider the little girl's words as praise rather than provocation.

Just as Mai Ge was about to get some weapons from the system, a flash of light appeared in the sky, and the huge giant frost dragon had vanished without a trace. A woman wearing a snow-white, crystal-clear high-necked long dress appeared at the city gate.
