Chapter 230 - Chapter 229 But It Smells So Good

At the entrance of the Restaurant Mai Mi, customers left disappointed, leaving behind a small mountain of blades.

"Aisha, Boss Mai and Amy aren't here. The restaurant might really be closed today." Yabemia said with a hint of helplessness after peering into the restaurant through the glass window for a while.

"Hmm." Sally, dressed in a porcelain white cheongsam with blue trim, looked at the empty restaurant with a slightly disappointed expression.

"But you look so beautiful today, this dress suits you so well." Yabemia turned around and looked at her, saying with amazement. The pure white porcelain dress paired with the striking cyan-blue made Sally, who already had an outstanding temperament, look even more elegant, the kind of beauty that amazes people.

"Thank you." Sally looked at Yabemia's sincere expression, nodded slightly, and pulled her legs back a little shyly, but her eyes also showed undisguised joy.

This dress was indeed very special, it was a style she had never seen before. Unlike the wide hems of ordinary dresses, this one was more form-fitting, with only a slit at the very bottom, making her long legs appear even longer. The combination of porcelain white and cyan blue created a cool and refreshing hue that made her already fair skin appear even whiter and more serene.

She didn't know what kind of fabric the dress was made of, but it looked like silk. Even the silk produced in the Wind Forest couldn't be as smooth and elastic as this. Although it was close to her body, but it didn't restrict her movements at all. She even felt that she could wear this dress and walk through the Wind Forest, walking among the tree branches.

Of course, what amazed her even more was that the dress fit her perfectly, as if it had been tailor-made for her. The length of the dress and the width of her shoulders were exactly right, without any deviation or excess. Even that part... was exactly the same.

Such a well-fitting dress couldn't possibly have been just something Mai Ge casually grabbed for her upstairs. Could it be that in that short time, he actually went upstairs and personally designed and made two dresses for her? And two pairs of shoes?

But he didn't ask her size at all. Could it be that he just estimated the size by sight? But the dress she wore yesterday was actually quite loose. There was no way he could tell her waist size, let alone her bust size. Thinking of this, Sally couldn't help but blush. Could it be... that he has some kind of ability to see through clothes, or scan them?

"Boss Mai is such a genius! Not only does he cook delicious food, but he also picks out amazing clothes." Oblivious to Sally's change in expression, Yabemia looked at her with adoration and suddenly asked, "By the way, Aisha, have you had breakfast?"

Sally paused for a moment, then shook her head and said, "Not yet."

Yesterday, Mai Ge said there would be a daily meal allowance of 1200, so this morning she wanted to have a serving of Yang Zhou Fried Rice at the restaurant and didn't eat anything else.

She had already made arrangements with the landlady at the Geya Hotel to continue staying there. She could go back to clean the hotel after the restaurant closed in the morning and go back to collect the blankets after the restaurant closed at noon. She could work two jobs at the same time, and her accommodation problem would be solved.

"You must be starving. How about I take you somewhere to have breakfast? It's not as good as Boss Mai's, but it's clean and cheap. I think you should be able to get used to it." Yabemia said with a smile.

"Okay, thank you." Sally looked at the bright smile on Yabemia's face and felt her mood brighten as well, nodding with a smile.

"That makes sense. With Mai Ge's looks and genius cooking skills, probably not many women could resist him. He wouldn't do something like that." Sally thought to herself, if Mai Ge told her, 'Follow him and you can eat tofu pudding for free for the rest of your life, and you can eat two servings at a time!' that would definitely be a difficult question to answer.

"No! Absolutely not!" Sally quickly shook her head, banishing the hesitant thoughts from her mind. Losing her dream was one thing, but how could she lose herself too? This was something she absolutely could not allow to happen!

"Let's go, may be we can come back around noon." Yabemia led the way.

"Noon? Hmm..." Sally glanced again at the notice posted on the restaurant door. The handwriting was somewhat slender, sharp yet not aggressive, much like Boss Mai's personality. She quickened her pace to catch up with Yabemia.

....

Mai Ge had just noticed the middle-aged man who had suddenly appeared. He was tall, wearing a black short-sleeved shirt with a tiger skin vest over it. He looked to be around fifty years old, and his skin had turned reddish-black from years of sun exposure. He was in excellent spirits.

After he jumped onto the rock, he turned around to throw the javelin in his hand, but then he saw that the copper-skinned wild boar had been blasted into a roasted pig by Amy's fireball, so he stopped.

This middle-aged man was the one who had subtly warned him not to take Amy out of city when they were at the guild. His expression of facing death moved Mai Ge a little. Without absolute strength, even a seasoned hunter would not choose to attack a maddened copper-skinned wild boar downhill.

This uncle, whom they had only met once, perhaps because of the safety of the father and daughter, actually prepared to attack the copper-skinned wild boar.

"Ahem, I just picked up a quest for a Copper-skinned Wild Boar and came up to check when I heard the noise. Since you've already killed it, then it's all over." Gai Yi put down his javelin a little awkwardly. Since that little girl was so skilled, he was too embarrassed to admit that he had presumptuously rushed over. Anyway, he hadn't done anything, so he might as well just leave naturally.

"So you came here for this big pig?" Amy said with an "I see" expression, then looked up at Mai Ge and said, "Daddy, I don't think the two of us can finish this big pig. Could we ask Grandpa Tiger to eat it with us?"

"Grandpa didn't come here for the roast pig. And although Amy roasted it, but it's not edible. Pork that hasn't been properly prepared and roasted directly is inedible, and since it was briefly cooked, the inside is mostly still raw." Mai Ge chuckled, patting Amy's hair, and then looked at Gai Yi with a smile, saying, "Hello, I'm Mai Ge. Sorry to have made you come all this way for nothing."

"Haha, I'm Gai Yi. I'm glad you're all alright. This big boar hasn't appeared on the West Slope for years. You're lucky. However, the ingredient section requires a whole fresh copper-skinned wild boar, and yours doesn't meet the requirements. But it's an old boar, and its tusks are in very good color. People often buy them in the animal bone section, so you should be able to get a decent reward." Gai Yi laughed heartily and waved his hand. This wild boar wasn't his target anyway, so there was nothing to be disappointed about.

"Can't we eat it? But it smells so good..." Amy walked towards the big pig with her short legs, her little face showing a conflicted expression. Her eyes fell on the snow-white tusks, and her eyes lit up. "Daddy, can I make a magic wand with the big pig's teeth?"
