Chapter 428 - Chapter 426 Hello, This Is Savory Tofu Pudding

What should have been a pleasant meeting quickly turned into a battle of humiliating pasts, with each revelation more shocking than the last. It was clear that both sides had come prepared, even digging up embarrassing stories like the one about the three years old who wet the bed. They were going to great lengths to break each other's spirits.

The two civil officials from the City Lord's Mansion struggled to suppress their laughter, their faces flushed. They had taken notes for many meetings, but had never encountered anything like this before. The handwriting on the paper was already somewhat distorted, and they were unsure whether the entire content of the meeting should be recorded truthfully. If they did write it down, would they be hunted down later?

Even Michael looked at this scene with a strange expression, but his good self control prevented him from laughing, and he continued to listen quietly.

"So adults were naughty when they were little too! But that Uncle Alex and that Aunt Irina are so amazing, they actually taught them all a lesson. I wonder what they look like, and if I'll ever see them? I wish I could be as amazing as them someday!" Little Amy rested her chin on her hand, looking at everyone with curiosity on her little face.

As for Yabemia and Sally, they both turned their faces away and couldn't stop laughing. A group of level nine giant dragons and demons were exposing each other's shortcomings. Such a scene could not be seen anywhere else, and it was really too funny.

"This negotiation is definitely unconventional. But looking at it this way, Mai Ge • Alex and Irina were really something back then. From Demon Island to Dragon Island, they left their glorious deeds everywhere. This is probably just the tip of the iceberg." Mai Ge thought to himself, while feeling somewhat fortunate that his current appearance was completely different from that of Mai Ge • Alex back then. He had a different face and a completely different temperament, so he didn't have to worry about these people recognizing him.

This mutual insult lasted for over half an hour, gradually turning into a bittersweet reminiscence session, before suddenly falling into an eerie silence.

Looking at each other sitting opposite each other, both of their eyes reddened. It really hurt. Indeed, the one who understands you best is your enemy.

"Don't you feel any remorse for bringing up my painful past?" Talus looked at the three people opposite him with a pained expression. Being chased by the spike war boars back then was a shadow he could never shake off for the rest of his life.

"It was all caused by those two guys, but that arrogant guy is dead, and that witch is locked up." Fu Ke Si said through gritted teeth, seemingly still haunted by the time he was chased naked across Dragon Island.

"What a pity. This world is inherently boring. It's rare to have two interesting people, and then this world wipes them out. The world is truly a terrible thing." Dracula sighed softly, looking regretful.

"Hmm?" Everyone turned to look at Dracula.

"Dracula, do you want to eat grass again?" Gustav asked, somewhat puzzled.

"No way would I eat grass! We vampires will never eat vegetables!" Dracula declared righteously.

"It's just a pity. I heard that Alex was ambushed and killed, and some of our demons were involved. That's really despicable and contemptible. If you can't duel like a gentleman, then don't provoke others. In my opinion, Alex was a good gentleman." Dracula said with some regret.

"An upright character, formidable strength—Alex is indeed the strongest human I've ever seen, and the knight I admire most." Jinx nodded in agreement with Dracula's words.

"Such a person is destined for a terrible death. When a human takes pride in slaying dragons, and even tries to lead that trend, he's already dead." Fu Ke Si said coldly.

"What's there to regret about those scoundrels who died at his hands? They tarnished the reputation of our dragon race and didn't deserve to be a member of the dragon clan at all." Hai Wei De said with a sneer.

"Even if what they did was wrong, it's our dragon race's business. It's not his place to judge and punish them as a mere human. Where does that put our dragon race?" Fu Ke Si said through gritted teeth, staring at Hai Wei De.

"Since it was their own choice to fight, and the other side killed them honorably, what's there to say? As dragons, they should be able to accept defeat. Fu Ke Si, your face is truly ugly. What about your honor as a dragon? Why has Dragon Island never discussed assassinating him? Don't you have any idea?" Hai Wei De retorted without any politeness, his eyes filled with disdain.

"Hai Wei De! Does your Giant Fire Dragon Clan want to start a war with our Giant Frost Dragon Clan?" Fu Ke Si gritted his teeth as he looked at Hai Wei De.

"Ha, Fu Ke Si, what right do you have to represent the Giant Frost Dragon Clan to wage war against my Giant Fire Dragon Clan? Even if we must fight, what do my giant fire dragons have to fear!" Hai Wei De looked at Fu Ke Si, showing no sign of backing down.

The two men's momentum continued to rise, and the atmosphere in the restaurant became somewhat oppressive, as if a fight could break out at any moment.

The three demons were completely bewildered, they hadn't expected the dragons to start fighting before they even launched their attack.

Those two people who stirred up the entire continent a few years ago are truly taboo figures. Whenever they are mentioned, opinions are basically polarized, and conflicts may break out at any time because of them.

"Um... excuse me, may we begin serving the food?"

Just then, a voice broke the tense atmosphere.

Everyone turned to look at the kitchen doorway.

Fu Ke Si's face darkened instantly, and he restrained himself from making a move.

The other giant dragons and demons were also somewhat displeased that the meeting had been interrupted. Although this human was the father of Crassus and Yulian's apprentice, but he was ultimately just a human cook, a guy without any real power.

"Some of the ingredients have been prepared for quite a while, and if you don't eat them now, the taste will become less desirable." Mai Ge said apologetically as he stood at the kitchen doorway. It wasn't really his fault for being oblivious, but it was just that foods like tofu pudding and the Bai Ji Mo for Rou Jia Mo would lose much of their flavor and texture if not eaten soon, failing to meet his standards.

"Since the talks have reached a stalemate, let's have something to eat first. I hope you understand that you're here for talks on the border war between the dragons and demons. You'd better deal with any internal issues when you get back." Michael's gaze swept over everyone present, then he looked at Mai Ge and nodded, saying, "Boss Mai, let's serve the food."

"Okay." Mai Ge nodded, turned, and went into the kitchen, followed by Yabemia and Sally.

"As a vampire, I will absolutely not eat food cooked by humans, much less be vegetarian. Fresh blood is my only pursuit." Dracula leaned back in his chair, comfortably crossing his legs.

"Hello, this is Savory Tofu Pudding."

A clear voice rang out, and a bowl of Savory Tofu Pudding was gently placed in front of him.
