Vivian carefully considered her next words.
She would have been a bit more worried if she intended to lie or tell him half-truths, but she hadn't been told much herself, and she only knew bits and pieces of the master's abilities.
"Our master did not explain exactly how he learned about the fragments," she began. "He rarely explains how he obtains any of his information. However, he is what people call a diviner, a very powerful one at that, and there are very few things that can remain hidden from him once he takes an interest in them."
Elion's golden eye glowed faintly as he watched her.

She was telling the truth, or at least repeating what she genuinely believed to be true.
But it was hard to believe that diviners actually existed, since that field was normally considered to be mostly theoretical, or at least lost magic to some.
