To understand why she's "urgent," let's go back to that chaotic Monday morning.
Kunle was still half-asleep when he heard someone banging on his door like they were chasing a thief.
He opened the door and saw Amara, breathless, sweating, and looking like she had just outrun a hurricane.
"Kunle! Please, I need you—urgently!" she shouted.
Kunle blinked. "Amara… what happened? Are you okay?"
She marched inside without invitation. "Your mother-in-law is outside!"
Kunle paused. "Mother-in-law? But… we're not even married."
Amara froze… then whispered, "Exactly. But she thinks we are."
Kunle almost swallowed his tongue. "Ehn?! How?!"
Amara paced up and down. "I may have… accidentally told her we were married."
"Accidentally?" Kunle repeated. "Is it possible to accidentally get a husband?"
Before Amara could answer, Kunle's mother entered—without knocking, as usual.
"What am I hearing? Who is getting married? And why didn't anybody tell me?" she said, hands on hips.
Now the house was full—Kunle, Amara, and his mother, and more drama waiting outside.
And so, Kunle's peaceful life ended.
And his urgent wife began.
