Synopsis
Alexis was merely a common boy of a small village. Yet he was more than one could truly see. Blessed by the Goddess Arcana, he was a prodigy born to surpass many legends who've solidified their place in the world's history, but the boy isn't exactly ecstatic about such a status. He didn't want to be known only as the "Prodigy of Arcana" or the "Child of Magic", he wanted a title he earned on his own, after all, he was a mere reincarnated young man who strives for personal achievements, may it be infamy or fame. ______ Hi! I'm Alexis. I'm known as the "Child of Magic" and the "Prodigy of Arcana" which are cool and all... But I don't exactly like it. Not when the previous owner of this bidy was a complete dork and died as a minor villain in a game I once liked to play. The worst part is... I didn't get reincarnated with a system. I was so excited to at least be given one but nope, nuh uh, nada. The only thing I could rely on is the insane ability of adapting to literally everything. Strength training? One month and I can make a dent on iron. Endurance training? Just a month and I can run a marathon around a continent twice without stop. Magic training? A month and... Well this is the only exception. I may be a prodigy but so many others easily surpass me no matter what I do in this path. The same could be said for the other paths as well. Strength? Powerhouses like Orcs, Centaurs, and Minotaurs already outmatch me. Endurance? Half-Monsters, Demi-Humans, and Draconians easily surpass me. Magic? Elves, Demons, and Demi-Gods already overpower me. Why am I known as the "Prodigy of Arcana" though if that's the case? Well... I'm the only child of the Goddess of Magic herself. And I don't need centuries to become a threat to a Kingdom. It is part of the prophecy after all. "Should Arcana bless a mortal at birth, they shall be cursed with Calamity." _______ Warning: This Story may contain topics and/or content that is sensitive to readers. Read at your own discretion. Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Forest of Instant Death, Literally...

The Prodigy of Arcana, the Child of Magic.

It's a title both adored and feared.

All because of one prophecy.

"Should Arcana bless a mortal at birth, they shall be cursed with Calamity."

It is adored and admired for the child's ability as a prodigy, yet it is also feared and hated due to it's prophecy.

And that's me.

Yeah, the name's Alexis, formerly a young commoner boy living his life with his family in a remotely small village in the far west of the Continent of Azuras.

Now... Alone in this god forsaken forest of death.

I've been here for, let's say for I don't how many fucking years. I was tossed into the deepest depths of this fucking forest when I was 6 and after so long I don't even remember how old I am.

That fucking priest... Cursed by the Gods? Well fuck you and your Gods. The Goddess of Magic, Arcana, never even liked your fucking church anyway.

It was thanks to Goddess Arcana's blessing and the fact that I'm a reincarnated person that I survived for this long anyway. I don't exactly hate Goddess Arcana due to this, rather, I could only thank her.

The Goddess is the most powerful God ever, so much so that other Gods and Goddesses would have to listen to her if she orders them to, or at least that's what I knew from reading those dusty books I could get from our local church.

Apparently, the reason why Goddess Arcana chooses to bless mortal children when they are born is for her to have "children" of her own. Because she is a Goddess, giving birth is difficult as there isn't anyone with a strong enough sperm that can make Goddess Arcana to conceive a child. Gods and Goddesses aren't capable of copulating with each other as well, much less give pleasure to either. Other Gods and Goddesses already have children or choose not to have children. Prime examples of those who choose not to have children are the Goddess of Love, the God of Light, Goddess of Lust, and the God of Monsters. And these are the only ones who chose not to. Every other Gods and Goddesses are horny bastards so there's also a bunch of Demi-Gods here and there.

Arcana isn't capable of concieving a child, so she resorts to blessing children she believes is capable of wielding her blessing. But something bad often happens, for the inhabitants of the world that is as Arcana openly supports her children no matter what they do.

The Oracle of Light, a direct messenger of the God of Light once told a prophecy when the first Child of Magic was born.

The same prophecy I said earlier.

"Should Arcana bless a mortal at birth, they shall be cursed with Calamity."

Some took it seriously, while some merely scoffed. But both sided suffered when this "Calamity" eventually struck.

The first child shattered the Continent so much that Demons were born as did the God of Death and the Goddess of Evil.

The second child created a Kingdom known as the Sky Kingdom Elysium and turned it to a superior Kingdom after ransacking all Kingdoms during it's rise.

The third child brought ruin to the Elven Kingdoms and tied their souls to the Tree of Eternity, Yggdrasil.

And the fourth child... Is me.

In order to avoid another Calamity to strike the world, I was banished to the deepest depths of this forest that I don't even know the name of.

But whatever it's name is, it might as well be the Forest of Eternal Suffering with how frequent monsters arrive here and there.

I stood on a bough of a large tree, watching the ground crawling with monsters.

There were giant wolves, rabbits that look like spawns of hell, bears that is as large as the average house, seriously, what is this place?

I don't even know how I survived as a 6 year old in this damned forest but I'll say that I was one hell of a lucky 6 year old.

I leapt to another bough, using wind magic to boost me forward and reach said bough without the risk of falling into the ground which at this point I could just call the pits of death.

Why aren't I just shooting them from above with magic? I'll show you why.

I conjured an arc using wind and shot it at a random hell spawn that looks like a rabbit. When the arc made contact, not only did it not make a dent, it also angered the rabbit and rammed a nearby tree, which was immediately uprooted. The tree fell with a loud groan and crashed onto a behemoth that shouldn't look like a bear. The behemoth swatted the tree and it flew so fucking fast it shattered other trees before breaking.

Now do you understand? This place is crawling with monsters that could literally turn me to paste before I can even blink.

I leapt to another bough and sat there. The safest place is currently above ground. How do I sleep? Well, let's wait till it gets dark.

Time eventually passed as I jumped from one tree to another as staying on one tree has risks of it being utterly demolished by these behemoths and turning me into monster food.

When the nught came, the monsters eventually lessened.

For what reason? They have shitty eye sight. Why do you think they didn't figure out where I was when I first shot the rabbit? It's already dark due to the trees in this place being ginormous as hell, and they can barely see shit due to their shit eye sight. The day is much easier to go around in but the night is where they never stay out as it risks getting eaten by larger predators. And by large, I mean, very, very fucking enormous.

I quickly hid under a cave as a massive 6 tailed fox roamed around, each step causing the ground to rumble due to weight.

Okay, maybe I wasn't just a lucky kid, I probably went deeper in this forest when I was younger, cause HOW THE FUCK WAS I ABLE TO SURVIVE FOR THIS LONG!?
