Sunday morning, 6:45 am, Jasmine was sleeping soundly when suddenly there was a knock on the door. At first jasmine just ignored it considering it not that big of a rush since she just finished her late night shift and was having a 2 hour sleep. The more she ignored it the more unbearable it got so she got up angrily and shouted
"What is it?! Can't a person sleep peacefully in this house?!"
"It's already 6:45! Get your lazy ass up and go get some groceries or else I'll just keep making some noise" an old lady maybe in her late 40s spoke with a evil grin that was enough to disgust jasmine to work.
"Sometimes I wonder if you're really even my own mother..." Mumbled jasmine as she grabbed a jacket shooting that lady a fiesty glance and made her way to the store

"You know we wouldn't be getting groceries this early in the morning if you didn't ate all the things we had at home and fire our housekeeper?" Said a girl who was grinning happily at another guy she was shopping with
"Oh shut up. I can see how happy you are to finally have a grocery shopping session with your 'precious lil bro' after so long" the guy said as he just give her an annoyed look but a small gentle smile
As they continued bickering, the girl just tilted her head and looked at a direction "hey...isn't that jasmine?"
"Jasmine?! Where?!" Shouted the guy and looked at the direction and just gave a tired sigh, looking disappointed like a father figure
Both of them just made their way to jasmine who was shopping like a dead zombie
"Ahem ahem.." faked an cough by that guy who was trying to seem tough and stern but jasmine didn't bat an eye and just continued staring dead at a cereal box
"Earth to miss Jasmine, we require your presence right this instant!" Said the girl which made jasmine jolt awake to reality
"Aditya? Maya? What are you two doing here..and I'm so sorry I don't know why I was spacing out" said jasmine with a tired genuine smile
Both Maya and Aditya just stared at her and the at each other with a sigh
"You need to learn to take care of yourself" said Maya. Aditya just nodded and said,"she's right jaz, you need to put yourself up first"
"I don't know what you're talking about..." Said jasmine as she turns away
"Turning away from your problems won't solve anything but-" sighs Maya and continues "if you're not ready...I can't force you"
The air got tensed all of a sudden and jasmine spoke
"Anyways what are the two of you doing together? At grocery store..? You didn't even tell me you're already back from India"
"Ah yes..sorry we wanted it to be a surprise and about how we ended up in this store..it's all thanks to this idiot Adi" Maya says rolling her eyes
"Oh please as if I knew that mom and dad won't hire a new house maid" Aditya spoke in an irritated tone
"Uh whatever the reason I'm glad you two are back! I missed you guys so much...and mimu too.." Jasmine says with a beaming face hoping to see the cat she's talking about
"How heartbreaking my best friend misses my cat more than me" says Aditya faking a hurt face
"Oh shut up we both know she would kill the world for that cat, including us" says Maya as she just gave a simple soft smile
The conversation kept going on when suddenly Jasmine sees the time and it's already 7:30 and quickly grabbed a box of cereal and put with with her other supplies
"Guys let's catch up during lunch at the usual cafe?" Says Jasmine who was rushing as if she was Cinderella who had to reach home before the clock turned 12, in her case 8.
"Ya sure why not" shrugged Maya nodding
"Uhm..you two can enjoy! I'll catch up to you in another time today I have set up a proposal for my girlfriend, Amaris" says Aditya with a nervous smile
Just like that they congratulated him and made their ways back. As Jasmine opened the door she was faced with none other than her mother was smiling with a frowning face
"Oh the princess is finally home from her long journey " suddenly she grabbed the grocery bag
She emptied the bag on the floor
"What...are you doing?" Asking Jasmine with a confused look
"Oh. Just searching for the gold that you were busy mining"
"What? I don't understand.."
A slapped jolted Jasmine's face as she was left dumbfounded.
"Pick up all that and bring it to the kitchen and make sure next time you won't be so late again. Also wake your younger siblings up for school" says the lady with a stern face and walks away
Tears fell to the ground as she picked up the grocery. It was nothing new yet she didn't understand why it hurts so much. Maybe the fact she couldn't understand how could her mother hate her own daughter so much or the fact how she was unable to stand up for herself or the fact why she just couldn't get away from this house
Nothing mattered. She went to the kids room after done with that mess. She looked at the twin bed where her younger siblings were sleeping
"My little mushrooms..why am I so weak to protect myself"
She finally remembered why and who she was living for. Her little siblings. She woke them up, get them ready for school and sent them off. After that she went to work too, at a hospital and had some chat with Maya who also was a nurse there

"Ah.. finally amother day passed by and I'm still not converted into a rock" muttered Jasmine to herself as she laid down on the bed and grabbed her phone to scroll through another chapter of a novel like her daily routine.
As she was on a cliffhanger suddenly she got interrupted by a call from Aditya.
"What is it, tell me fast or I'm hanging up I have a chapter to catch up on" said Jasmine restless to cut the call but when she didn't get any answer she was a bit worried
"..." The other person on the phone was silent but a little bit of sobbing could be heard
"Adi..are you..crying?" Asking Jasmine worriedly as she got up in a sitting position.
"Jaz.. please come to the usual place we meet at" Aditya says a few words and cuts the call. Hearing that Jasmine doesn't even wastes one second more and grabs her car keys and rushes to a bar
She searches for Aditya here and there just to find him beside a trash bin curled up in a crying position
"Uhm... Adi? I know you're sad and but please get up from there..there's literally a girl throwing up next to you" Jasmine says with concern as she helps him get up and drags him to the car
"Now tell me what happened..." Asks jasmine as she gives tissue paper to Aditya. He takes it and wipes his tears away
"Take me to my home..I'll tell you on the way okay?"
"Alright..."
As they drove off Aditya took a few breaths and started speaking..
"We broke up.."
"What?! How? I mean everything was going so well?! You were about to propose no?" Jasmine asks surprised by what she just heard. She can't lie that she didn't saw this coming but still it was a surprise ..not a good one.
"Look out!!" Shouted Aditya as a deer suddenly came to their way. Jasmine quickly turned away but as she tried to stop the car the break was not working. The car suddenly gets into an accident with another car
