A woman's eyes frantically roamed the frenzy of people who ran for cover. Her heart raced as she snapped her head back and forth into the crowd. And then she spotted him. Her son. Staring directly at her arms.
Her husband had been shot dead center of the forehead. The smile he'd had on his face was stuck, as he had been gazing into her eyes ever so longingly. She finally followed his gaze, and her heart realized then that he had left her.
She hurriedly blinked away the tears that threatened her vision. She couldn't break down. Her only hope now was her son. She looked back at him, her face now covered in tears that flowed freely. Her face filled with indignation as she finally locked eyes with him.
"RUUUUU-"
His face stiffened as before him, his mother's head flew back.
His eyes widening he turned into the crowd. Pushing and crawling his way through. His feet carrying him forward, running faster than he had ever before. Through unmonitored hallways and into dimly lit tunnel once showed by his uncles. The palace now long behind him the blaring sirens could still be heard as gunfire escalated.
Into the forest he went, and disappearing from the world that knew him.
Today Crown Prince Luseris Koriin had died.
He would be REBORN.
