Chapter 6 - Chapter 5: A Girl’s Social Death Often Happens in an Instant

"What about cooking wine and sweet wine?"

"I didn't expect Miyako-san to be good at cooking! Unfortunately, you can't buy cooking wine or sweet wine here."

"What kind of strange rule is this…"

Seeing Amane's dejected look, Manager Fujiwara ruffled Amane's hair.

It felt quite nice.

"Don't be so sad, it's not impossible to work around this."

"Like what?"

"How about using sweet wine-flavored seasonings instead?"

"Wow! Manager Fujiwara is amazing, to come up with such a method!"

"Hahahaha, not at all, I just happen to know a bit more than usual."

Watching Amane and Manager Fujiwara's conversation, the four of them, including Kushida-san, were completely dumbfounded.

They understood every word they said, but when put together, they couldn't make sense of it at all.

"I just feel like Miyako-san is so amazing." Inokashira's eyes were sparkling as she looked at Amane.

"Mm-hmm, I think so too," Wang Meiyu nodded.

She also did some cooking, but compared to someone like Amane, who seemed very professional, she was far behind.

She was a little envious of Amane, who was good at cooking, especially baking.

"How about we all go to Miyako-san's place to get some desserts sometime?" Kushida-san suddenly said with a mischievous smile.

"Haha, Kushida-san, you're so naughty! If Miyako-san hears you, she'll definitely…" Ichihashi Ruri hadn't finished speaking when a beautiful face emerged from the crowd.

"I heard everything, you know, Kushida-san~"

Seeing her 'secret' discovered, Kushida-san responded to Amane with an apologetic smile.

"Sorry, sorry, it just slipped out, but we're quite looking forward to Miyako-san's cooking."

As Kushida-san spoke, several others chimed in.

"That's no problem, but when the time comes, I'll need your help, so don't run away."

Amane winked at Kushida-san playfully.

"I'm so bad at cooking that I'd cut my fingers chopping vegetables, so I'm afraid I can't help much."

"I'm better at eating."

Ichihashi-san also joined the teasing.

"You guys are really good at being lazy."

Amane put her hands on her hips, looking disappointed as if she had made bad friends, which made Kushida-san and the others cover their mouths and laugh happily.

"Alright, alright, we'll help Miyako-san then."

"We definitely won't let Miyako-san do all the work alone."

"So, can I just be in charge of eating?"

"Ichihashi-san, you're dreaming!"

Amane was very happy.

She loved this atmosphere.

Everyone talking and laughing together as equals.

This was the school life she had always longed for!

After leaving the bakery, Amane looked at the card in her hand.

Manager Fujiwara had given it to her; it was a bread card with 3,000 points.

She also promised to provide her with 3,000 points of free consumption at the bakery every month.

The card was valid for one year.

Although the points weren't many, it was a pleasant surprise.

Kushida-san also looked at the card in Amane's hand with some envy.

With that, if she was frugal, she could save a month's worth of breakfast money.

However, she was still happy that Amane got the card.

Immediately after, Kushida-san demonstrated her excellent leadership skills.

She started with small items like phone charms.

Then they went to a clothing store, and after trying on and buying clothes, it was basically dinner time.

Everyone had a quick meal at the cafeteria.

They had just arrived at the final shopping area for daily necessities.

Even though these were the most essential items, Kushida-san arranged to browse here last.

Amane only understood why at the very end.

On one hand, Kushida-san wanted to avoid the peak time when everyone bought daily necessities, allowing them enough time to choose.

On the other hand, although quilts and sheets were provided in the dorms, few girls would probably accept the plain white style, right?

But if they bought new bedding first, they wouldn't have time to go shopping.

If the first get-together ended like that, it would be difficult to get people together again in the future.

So, Kushida-san put the most important matter last, perfectly completing the first gathering of this small circle.

"Well then, everyone can go buy what they want, and we'll hang out together again next time, okay?"

"Mm-hmm, remember to contact us in the group chat."

"What is Kushida-san going to buy? Want to go together?"

They finally disbanded in a pleasant atmosphere.

As soon as they disbanded, Amane went to the store, casually picked up a packaged quilt and sheets, then chose a cute pillow and a bolster, and returned to the dorm first.

She bought the most essential items first.

Next were the toiletries that could be bought at the nearest supermarket.

After buying these, without time to tidy up, Amane ran all the way back to the extremely cold kitchenware store in the shopping center.

She took out her phone and started swiping and buying furiously.

When Kushida-san and the others were there, Amane felt embarrassed to buy so many things at once.

Now that she was shopping alone, she definitely couldn't leave anything out.

There were also some small home appliances.

Pots also needed to be bought.

Oh, and ingredients!

Oh no.

Why did the more she bought, the more things there were?

While Amane was buying ingredients at the supermarket, carrying large and small bags and a pot on her back, she unexpectedly ran into Horikita Suzune again.

If one encounter was a coincidence, two encounters were destiny.

The third encounter was... so embarrassing.

Why did Horikita-san have to see her looking like this?

"Miyako-san... did you rob the kitchenware store and the appliance store?"

Horikita-san's first words were a killer blow.

However, she did indeed look like she had robbed several shops.

When she came in, she even saw a store clerk casually pick up the phone.

If she hadn't explained beforehand, the cashier would probably have called security.

Now that Horikita-san had discovered her again, what should she do next?

1. Confess the truth and ask Horikita-san for help.

2. Tell her that she actually did rob the stores and was returning.

3. Pretend she had mistaken her for someone else.

The first option was the most normal.

Horikita-san might refuse, but given their relationship as classmates and neighbors, there was a higher chance she would help.

As for the second option... it goes without saying that Horikita-san would call someone to take her away, right?

Amane, clutching a rice cooker, fell into deep thought.

What?

Why not choose the third option?

No normal person would pretend not to know someone after being recognized, right?

Sometimes, you really can't look at Amane with the eyes of a normal person.

Because...

"Eh? Have we met before?"

Amane chose a more magnetic female voice.

Even Horikita, who had already recognized Amane, was momentarily stunned.

Then she walked over with some doubt and touched Amane's forehead.

"Miyako-san... are you alright?"

"Hahaha, that was just a joke."

Sweat began to seep from Amane's forehead.

That joke was not funny at all.

This was evident from Horikita's serious expression.

"Then, Miyako-san, are you treating me like an idiot?"
