Chapter 185 - Chapter 183: Despair in Progress (Part 3)

Amane took out a printed screenshot of a chat log.

It clearly recorded Ichinose asking for the class's opinion on whether to accept Ryuuen's proposal to transfer 100 class points in exchange for Class B's support.

The appearance of the chat log left Kanzaki and Shibata in a daze.

Even Ichinose Honami froze on the spot.

"This chat log… Amane, how did you get it?"

Ichinose seemed to have thought of something, but she was unwilling to accept reality.

"It was provided to me by a kind person from your Class B. You've been betrayed too, Classmate Ichinose."

Amane's words were like a poisonous thorn, directly piercing Ichinose Honami's heart.

"Betrayal? How could such a thing happen… Impossible! This must be a screenshot you obtained through other means. I believe everyone wouldn't do such a thing."

Even though Ichinose had guessed this possibility before Amane revealed the answer, her unconditional trust in her class members made her unwilling to believe that she too would be betrayed by them one day.

Therefore, after Amane stated the facts, Ichinose still chose to escape reality.

This, however, played right into Amane's trap. In her haste to deny, Ichinose overlooked the most important thing.

"Ichinose, do you mean you admit the authenticity of this screenshot?"

Amane's lips curled slightly.

So far, every step taken by Ichinose, or rather Class B, was within her expectations. Everything was moving towards the outcome Amane had planned.

But the smoother things went, the more bored Amane felt.

She couldn't experience what Hirata and Sakayanagi described as the powerful Class B.

Unity? Trust? An impregnable defense?

Before Amane, it was like paper, such fragile trust would collapse with a gentle poke of a finger.

Too boring.

"I, I… this…"

Ichinose stammered, trying to explain.

But she didn't know what to use to refute Amane's claims.

Admitting the authenticity of the chat screenshot meant admitting that the two classes, B and C, were secretly engaging in illicit class point transactions.

And if she didn't admit it, a simple investigation would yield the conclusion.

At that point, it would only be more embarrassing.

After weighing the pros and cons, Ichinose was about to speak her choice when, at that moment—

"Please wait a moment. Classmate Ichinose, in what capacity are you speaking now? As a member of First Year Class B, or as a member of the Student Council?"

Amane's words made Ichinose realize something was amiss.

Her position at this time should be that of a neutral Student Council member.

Yet she was speaking on behalf of Class B.

This had already violated the Student Council's regulations.

"I am, of course, as…"

"I request that Classmate Ichinose recuse herself from this arbitration meeting."

Amane's words made Ichinose open her mouth but nothing came out.

It was well-known that Kanzaki and Shibata were no match for Amane. If she left now, the situation would undoubtedly change immediately.

She never expected Amane to use the Student Council rules to turn the tide so easily.

"Indeed, Classmate Ichinose's statement just now was biased. Classmate Ichinose, please wait outside for now."

Nagumo Miyabi made his decision.

"I understand."

Ichinose could only reluctantly stand up and, with some worry, left the conference room.

Chabashira Sae calmly drank her tea, but her heart was in turmoil. During the first meeting, Amane was at an absolute disadvantage, unable even to defend herself, resorting to the undignified method of leaving the room to buy time.

But she never expected that in just half a month, Amane would turn the tables so easily.

There were no intense verbal clashes; she simply presented the evidence, and with a gentle pressure, the so-called class alliance immediately disintegrated. Such a performance was unprecedented among any of the students she had taught.

Miyako Amane.

Perhaps she could truly lead Class D to that unattainable position?

Horikita Suzune had similar thoughts to Chabashira Sae.

Originally, based on rumors, she believed Class B was in excellent shape, and only Class A could suppress it. But she never expected Amane alone to cause Class B's main members to suffer repeated setbacks in the meeting.

Thinking this way, if there was an opportunity, Class B was not unbeatable.

Seeing Ichinose's disheartened departure, Kanzaki clenched his fists, but he was powerless against Amane's evidence.

Amane seemed to sense Kanzaki's displeased gaze and turned to look at him.

"Classmate Kanzaki, please explain, is the content of this screenshot authentic?"

Amane asked the same question.

Kanzaki glanced at Shiraha Chihiro, who had been looking down silently since entering, and then at Shibata, who subtly shook his head.

A sense of powerlessness instantly washed over him.

He was still on his own here. After a moment of thought, Kanzaki realized.

Denying it would only be more embarrassing and would mean losing his right to speak.

Finally, Kanzaki gritted his teeth.

"The screenshots are real, but I still don't believe someone from our class gave them to you."

Kanzaki's words were firm, and his expression alone showed how much he loved Class B.

But unfortunately, Amane didn't care whether he loved it or not.

"What does it matter to me if you believe it or not? Class B has already admitted to a private transaction with Class C, so what about you, Class C? Do you admit to privately trading class points?"

Amane pointed the finger at Class C.

Kanzaki was furious at Amane's words but dared not act out, so he could only sit down and sulk alone, ignoring Class C's pleading gazes in his anger.

Ishizaki had no idea how to answer such an obviously troublesome question and could only turn to Kanzaki and the others for help, but Kanzaki didn't even bother to look at them.

Left with no choice, Ishizaki also admitted to the matter.

"This matter was discussed between Ryuuen and Class B; I'm not entirely clear on the specifics."

Ishizaki blurred important information as much as possible.

But for Amane, this was no longer important, because she had something even more damning.

"So, was Shiraha-san being bullied a performance by you all?"

Amane maliciously threw out the fatal bait.

"No! That was not a performance!"

Shiraha instinctively shouted in response.

"That was just us joking around…"

Ishizaki's words were directly interrupted by Amane.

"Joking around? Then why were changing testimony and witness statements among the conditions Ryuuen offered Ichinose? Are you still planning to lie now? Do you really think you won't be expelled?"
