"Times up. Pens down." the invigilator said and they all got to their feet. They handed in their papers as they moved out. On coming out Katie was there waiting for Kenzie.
" So how was it? Are we getting into college or--" Katie asked. " It was all right, I guess." "What do you mean it was all right! Was it I didn't fail all right or I'm probably getting into college all right?!" Katie asked. " It's I'm probably getting into college alright."
"Oh my gosh Kenzie that's great." She said pulling her in for a hug. " Okay, let's not get too excited now. I said ,probably so let's not jump to conclusions." Kenzie said
"It's not bad to have hope. Otherwise what do you want to eat, my treat." Katie said. "Now you're speaking my language. I'm starved but first I gotta pee."Kenzie said. " Find me the cafeteria."
As Kenzie was in the washrooms, she heard people outside talking about her.
"I can't believe how carefree that Riya girl is." one of the girls said as she was retouching her makeup."What did she do this time."another asked.
"We all know how she has her exam today right?" "yeah" " totally"
"And we also know how important the exam is." " Okay can you get to the point we ain't got all day, you know." their leader said.
"Okay so you all know how we are supposed to be in the exam room thirty minutes before time." she continued beating around the bush.
"Ughhhh, I swear Nikki if you repeat that phrase one more time I'm going to get this lipstick and shove it down your throat." their leader was getting irritated.
"Okay, what I was trying to say is she made it to the exam room with zero minutes to the paper." " What, no way!" "Yes way and that's not the worst part. It looked like it was her friend-what's her name again?" "Katie or something like that." " Yeah, Katie or whatever dragged her there and I could swear on my life she just pulled her out of bed and I'm 99.9% sure she didn't read for that paper and the funny thing is that she finished before any of us. She was done in like two and a half hours."
" No way, that means she said did nothing for a whole hour." " Oh no sweetheart,she slept!After putting her pen down she slept for the remaining time." Nikki said
"Just what is wrong with that girl. Is she some sort of super genius!?"
" Or she might have already seen the paper and the answers to it." their leader said to them and they looked at her.
"What, you mean she cheated?!" they asked in unison.
"Yeah, just think about it. Why else would she not read for it, show up late and finish very early while others are still struggling! She definitely cheated." "That rasco! We can't let her get away with it. We gotta-" Nikki was still saying when Kenzie came out. "-report her to the authorities!?" she completed her statement for her. They saw her through the mirror and they stiffened.
" Relax guys! I so agree with you. Riya's such a b****, we can't let this slide and let her pass when she cheated. Don't you think so?" she said putting her arms around Nikki and her other friend.
" We- we-" Nikki stammered. " You- you what!? Don't tell me you can't do it. I mean you said she cheated so that means you've got proof, right? Must be having some video of her taking pictures of the answers or even better, a video of her sleeping with one of the teachers to know what they set. Mmm. Mmm?" Kenzie said turning to the both of them.
"Ssss- don't tell me you have neither one of them. That's such a bummer I thought you actually had evidence to back up what you were saying since you sounded so sure about it, turned out to be a false alarm." Kenzie said making them burn with shame.
" Guys, I'm a very down to earth person so if you have something to say why don't you come to me and say it straight to my face. Never know I might tell you the secrets to how I do it or like you said I can connect you to someone and you can also get the answers before the paper and finish it in half the time. Don't you think so Nikki?" she said and tapped her on the cheek and all she could do was look down.
"You guys are so boring. When I was in there, I was hearing what you were saying and I actually thought you were cool people but I know everything is not how it seems. Isn't that right? Anyway, I gotta go. Katie is treating me to break and you guys could join us if you like. We could continue this conversation or you want to keep doing it here in the toilets with all the flies and the smell! It's kinda gross but when it comes to you three I guess it's nice so I'm just gonna go so please, continue. I like it when people talk about me. I like the attention." Kenzie whispered the last part and left.
Nikki and her friend breathed out like they had been holding their breath.
"Oh my gosh! That was so embarrassing, I don't think I've ever been that embarrassed my whole life." Nikki said.
"You guys can continue. I'm gonna go. This place is not for me. It's gross by the way." the leader said and left covering up her embarrassment. "Hey---" Nikki wanted to call her back but her friend stopped her.
"Leave her. She's obviously more embarrassed than any of us."

"Hey, what took you so long?" Katie asked. "It's nothing. I found some rats talking about me in the washrooms." Kenzie said she sat down. " What did they say. Wait- since when did rats start talking!" Katie said and Kenzie gave her this look of are you kidding me right now.
"You don't think they are actual rats!?" she had to ask. " Whaaaaat! Nooooo!" Katie said with fake surprise and sipped her coffee in an embarrassed manner.
" Anyway, they're not important. I talked to them and they'll probably never do it again while I'm still here. So where's my breakfast ? Kenzie said.
"Go pick it yourself. I can't be paying and I bring it for you as well, that's so unlike me." "You've done it like 1 2 5 6 7 seven times in case you forgotten. So how can you say it's unlike you." Kenzie said.
"Just go already before I change my mind." Katie said. "What you gonna do, unbuy it!?You know that's impossible, right?"
" Just go, okay." Katie pushed her away.
