Wind didn't move around the messenger.
Instead, the world moved out of his way.
Even the falling snow re-routed to avoid touching his robes.
Xueya's grip tightened on Shan Wei's arm. Her frost galaxy trembled behind her like a celestial shield—instinctively protecting him.
Drakonix, perched beside Shan Wei, let out a low, warning growl.
"Fwee…"
His newly evolved prismatic scales stiffened, reflecting the messenger's aura.
This was the first time Drakonix had ever reacted with instinctive fear.
The messenger stopped five steps away and bowed lightly—but the bow held the weight of universes.
"Qi Shan Wei," he repeated, voice calm, almost sorrowful."We finally meet."
Shan Wei didn't answer immediately. His energy was still unstable, his rebirth incomplete, and his prismatic core pulsed erratically inside his chest.
But he stood tall.
Protecting:
Xueya.Yue Lian.The Empress.Drakonix.Jin Wei's fallen form.
"Identify yourself," Shan Wei said, voice steady despite the pain. "You've come through a sovereignty barrier. That alone means your presence is… abnormal."
The masked figure raised his head slightly.
"The Silent Bell Monastery calls me simply—The Observer."
The Frozen Chasm reacted violently.
Cracks spread across the ice.Spiritual pressure shook ancient frost pillars.Even the Heir's corpse vibrated, responding to an older power.
The Empress whispered sharply:
"Silent Bell… one of the Five Hidden Orders that govern fate and time…!"
Yue Lian grabbed her arm.
"Then why is one of them HERE?!"
The Observer lifted a single finger—
and the entire chasm fell silent.
Completely silent.
No wind.No breath.No heartbeat.
Even sound itself froze.
1. Time-Freezing Formation — A Forbidden Technique
Shan Wei's eyes narrowed.
"…Temporal stillness?"
The Observer inclined his head.
"Only for a moment. This realm cannot withstand the full version."
Xueya's frost galaxy surged, trying to resist the temporal pressure.
The Observer turned his masked gaze toward her.
"No need to resist, Frost Star Sword Fairy."
Xueya's aura became colder—but she did not back down.
Shan Wei stepped half a step forward, shielding her.
"State your purpose," he said.
The Observer looked at him.
Truly looked.
Through his body.Through his Qi.Through his soul.
He murmured:
"…The rumors were true. You truly carry the Prismatic Fate."
Shan Wei's pulse tightened.
Xueya's breath caught.
Drakonix snarled.
Even unconscious, Jin Wei's core flickered once—as if reacting.
The Observer raised a hand—
and the ice beneath them lit with thousands of runes.
Not aggressive ones.Not restrictive ones.
Observation runes.
Fate-reading runes.
Forbidden in most realms.
Yue Lian gasped."Those are… Fate-Thread arrays!"
The Empress shook her head violently."No one below Realm Monarch level should be able to CAST these!"
The Observer ignored them.
"Qi Shan Wei… look."
2. The Fate Threads Unveil Shan Wei's Destiny
Seven threads rose from Shan Wei's chest—
each a different color.
Red.Blue.Gold.Green.Purple.Silver.Black.
The Seven Prismatic Forces.
But behind them…
A faint eighth thread flickered.
White.
Barely visible.Barely alive.
Xueya stared, eyes widening.
"What… is that thread?"
Shan Wei felt his heart throb painfully.
The Observer answered:
"That is the Fate you were supposed to inherit."
Shan Wei frowned.
"…Meaning?"
The Observer pointed at the white thread.
"It is the Guiding Fate of the Heavenly Courts. The destiny you were meant to follow since birth."
The thread flickered—
weakthinfading.
"But it is dying," the Observer finished quietly.
"Your birth burned it away."
The Empress paled.
Yue Lian trembled.
Xueya looked at Shan Wei with rising dread.
Shan Wei asked the only question that mattered:
"…Then what am I following now?"
The Observer slowly turned his hand—
and the seven-colored threads brightened violently, twisting around each other.
A vortex of fates.
A storm.
A calamity.
A rebirth.
"You walk a Fate Path that has no beginning," he said,"and no predetermined end."
Drakonix's feathers bristled.Xueya's frost galaxy darkened.Yue Lian clutched her spear.
Shan Wei exhaled.
"So I am unbound."
"No…"The Observer shook his head.
"Worse."
His next words shattered the entire chasm.
3. "You are the Prismatic Emperor… who should not exist."
Shan Wei's breath stopped.
Xueya froze completely.
Drakonix roared—but it sounded frightened.
The Empress fell to one knee.
Yue Lian's spear clattered from her hand.
The Observer continued:
"You are an anomaly created by a juxtaposition of fate ruptures."
"What does that mean?" Xueya demanded, stepping forward.
"It means," the Observer said gently,"the world never intended for Qi Shan Wei to be born. But you forced your way into existence."
Silence.
Heavy.Suffocating.
Shan Wei finally spoke.
"…Explain."
The Observer raised two fingers—
and the ice shifted, forming visions.
4. Vision of a Future That Cannot Be
A city burned.Skies shattered.A colossal shadow—Shan Wei's—stood at the center.
Drakonix, fully evolved, circled the skies in divine fury.
Jin Wei—no longer broken—led armies of puppets in planetary formations.
But the world wasn't rejoicing.
It was fearing.
The vision shifted.
Shan Wei stood atop the Sky-Palace—
wearing imperial armor of prismatic light.
He looked older.Harder.Colder.
And the realms kneeled.
Not in respect.
In fear.
The Observer closed his hand, and the vision vanished.
Everyone was silent.
Shan Wei's voice was calm.
"…That is your prediction?"
"No," the Observer said softly."That is the future carved in Fate… if no intervention occurs."
Xueya took Shan Wei's hand immediately.
"He won't become that."
Shan Wei felt her shake. He squeezed her fingers.
But the Observer wasn't finished.
5. Drakonix Attacks the Messenger
Drakonix suddenly lunged—
wings snapping openflames explodinga roar shaking the heavens
FWWWWWOOOOOOOO—!!!!
He aimed straight for the Observer's throat.
"No!" Xueya cried."He's reacting instinctively—!!"
Shan Wei reached out—
but the Observer didn't move.
He simply blinked—
and Drakonix froze midair.
Literally froze.
Suspended.
Stuck in time.
His flame still burning, but unmoving.
Xueya screamed.
"STOP—!!"
Shan Wei's prismatic heart pulsed painfully as he shouted:
"LET HIM GO—!!"
The Observer waved his hand—
gently—
and Drakonix crashed into Shan Wei's arms, unharmed but trembling violently.
Xueya reached for him instantly.
"What did you DO to him?!"
The Observer bowed his head.
"A test.Only to confirm one thing."
Shan Wei held the trembling beast, fury glowing in his eyes.
"Confirm what."
The Observer looked at him through the mask.
"That even your divine beast fears your future."
The atmosphere shattered.
6. Jin Wei Releases a Secret Recording
A sudden flicker—
a whir—
a spark—
Jin Wei's dormant body jerked.
Everyone turned in shock.
The puppet's cracked core projected a fragment of sound:
MASTER—WARNING—THE OBSERVER—IS—NOT—YOUR—ALLY—
Static.
Sparks.
The Empress gasped.
Yue Lian paled.
Xueya pointed her sword.
Shan Wei's eyes narrowed.
The Observer didn't move.
He simply asked:
"…Will you still listen?"
Shan Wei stepped in front of everyone—
Drakonix behind himXueya at his sideJin Wei at his backYue Lian and the Empress flanking him
His prismatic heart glowed.
He answered:
"Speak. But if you lie, I will change that fate myself."
The Observer's mask dimmed.
And finally—finally—he revealed the warning he came to deliver.
