Chapter 32 - Hail the Diamond War God, Gatling Bodhisattva

Diamond War God.

A Pedrosa-Ping starborn—pure silicon-based life, his entire body forged from pale green crystalline matter.

The crystal looked similar to Heavenly Jade, though the two weren't actually the same. Still, one thing was undeniable: the Diamond War God's body was absurdly durable. Steel, to him, might as well have been papier-mâché.

"Didn't expect it to be the Diamond War God. Honestly, I thought Heatblast would've been more suitable for this mess."

The situation had been too urgent for Ben to even glance at the Omnitrix interface to see which alien hero he'd gotten. Otherwise, his first choice absolutely would have been Heatblast—burn these monsters to ash and see how they regenerate after that!

"But hey, Diamond War God isn't bad either."

Ben looked down at his crystalline hands and closed his fists. Power surged through every inch of his body.

Naturally so—after all, the Diamond War God had once defeated Magus in single combat, and even crushed a shape-shifting demon in another battle.

His eyes burned with fighting spirit. In those green crystalline pupils, the monstrous faces of the creatures around him were reflected—

"Come on, monsters."

He rolled his shoulders and flexed his limbs. The massive spider creature clinging to the tower's interior wasn't a threat in his eyes. Ben lifted his right arm, fingers closing into a tapered edge—

In an instant, green crystal spread across his arm, reshaping it into a razor-edged blade.

Pedrosa-Ping starborn possessed molecular reconstruction—complete control over their bodies, able to alter their structure at will. His flesh was a limitless armory.

"ROAR!!!"

The spider monster, still seething from its snapped mandibles, let out a bone-chilling bellow. It loomed like a man-made cliff—just its size alone was enough to suffocate anyone who looked up at it.

Worse yet, fury was boiling through its mutated armor-like exoskeleton, its jet-black limbs interlocking like an impregnable carapace.

Every movement made its body clatter like clashing metal plates—sharp, grating, overwhelming.

It lunged, ready to tear Ben apart.

But—

Flash!

A silver-green arc sliced through the air.

Ben's arm-blade swept upward with the grace of a falling swallow.

The spider monster had no idea what hit it. Its body continued lurching forward, but its vision suddenly dropped as though the world had split apart.

A clean, widening line tore from the center of its body—

Green blood erupted in a torrential spray, painting the skyscraper's inner wall and cascading down the tower like a waterfall toward the central hall.

BOOOOM!!!

The monster—massive as a battle tank—split cleanly down the middle. Its supposedly indestructible enhanced exoskeleton crumbled like tofu beneath the Diamond War God's blade.

Its severed limbs buckled, and its colossal body plummeted dozens of meters.

THUD!

The building shuddered three times from the impact.

Ben lowered his arm with icy calm, his razor-sharp gaze lifting toward the lizard monsters still circling him. Now it was their turn to tremble.

These creatures, normally utterly obedient to Dr. Dong Wu, felt something ancient and instinctive rise within them.

Fear—pure, primal fear of death.

Dong Wu's departure meant his control signal had weakened. Combined with the overwhelming display of power they'd just witnessed, their animal instincts took over. Their scaled limbs quivered as they backed away with tiny, careful steps, gray fur bristling between their armored plates. Thin, panicked hisses leaked from their throats.

Ben shifted his feet—his crystalline anatomy shifting to form hooks and ridges for gripping walls.

With every step he advanced, the creatures retreated one step.

Their knotted tails curled inward. All it would take was one lizard monster to panic and bolt, and the whole swarm would scatter.

None wanted to be first—not out of bravery, but because they understood something vital:

The first to run would draw all of Ben's fire.

Yet staying meant certain slaughter.

Killing intent sharpened in Ben's eyes.

He moved.

His foot shattered the wall beneath him.

He dove down like a launched shell—spinning.

Blades sprouted along his back and arms, extending outward like a whirling saw. At high speed, the edges blurred into a deadly halo—

Shhk-shhk-shhk—!

Flesh and bone shredded beneath him.

Ben became a living meat grinder.

He carved straight through the cluster of monsters, his spinning blades generating a tornado of tearing force. Every lizard creature in his path was dragged into the storm.

The blades sliced through them like a scythe through wildflowers—decapitation, bisecting blows, bodies torn into pulp.

In the blink of an eye, anything that touched the spinning diamond vortex burst apart into bloody paste. Inside the Osborn Tower, a downpour of gore rained from above, washing over the shattered flooring in thick red waves.

THUD!

Ben landed like a war deity descending upon the battlefield.

"As long as the torso and head are destroyed… they can't regenerate, right?"

He glanced at the severed limbs, torsos, and crushed remains strewn across the floor. At least now he understood the limits of the lizard creatures' regeneration—Dr. Dong Wu's mutation serum hadn't improved that aspect.

Ben raised his head toward the remaining monsters above. Blood dripped from his arm-blades; he flicked them sharply, scattering the crimson droplets.

Time to finish the rest.

The surviving lizards stared in horror, their pitiful brains overwhelmed. Nothing mattered except escape—escape now, no matter what.

But—

"Run? You think you can run?"

Ben let out a cold laugh.

These monsters had chased him for so long. Now that the Omnitrix had finally cooled down, he had zero intention of letting them slip away.

He retracted his blades. Without even looking at the monsters desperately clawing at the walls, trying to escape, he drove a fist into the floor.

A crystalline shockwave erupted from his knuckles.

In the next moment—

From that impact point, green crystal expanded outward through the entire building.

In less than a heartbeat, the Osborn Tower froze—transformed into a monolithic citadel of pale green diamond.

The lizard creatures slammed into the walls, cracking their own skulls and scales without making so much as a dent.

Ben sneered, raising both arms. His palms vanished, shifting into thorn-like crystal arrays—protruding barrels lined up like the chambers of a loaded Gatling gun.

"Come taste the power of the Gatling Bodhisattva!"

"DADADADADADA—!"
