The Mission to Retrieve Edwin
Sophie stood in the war room, listening intently.
Ice now recovered, the tranquilizer flushed from his system recounted everything. The demon wolves. The lost woman. The ambush. And then… Edwin, gone.
The room was tense. Every face locked in.
"We need to get him back," Eve said, voice sharp.
Blaze stepped forward.
"That is our highest priority. But first we need to ask: who would want him?"
Ice nodded slowly.
"I have a theory. During the fight with Belial… Edwin used that power. And I think the demons saw it."
Eve leaned in. "Makes sense. They used wolves to lure you in. And that woman she was no victim. It was staged."
Ace frowned. "What do they want with Edwin?"
Blaze didn't hesitate.
"His power. He's a threat. They must know something greater about this power than we do."
Ace asked, "Where would they take him?"
Ice exhaled, heavy.
"I'm not certain. But the demons in that area… they're moving toward Perfect City. If they're transporting Edwin, that's the direction."
Sophie stepped forward.
"Where exactly, Ice? Please."
"I don't know. But if we follow the army, we might find clues."
Silence.
Then Blaze spoke.
"We are what's left of the militia. Edwin was our wild card. With his power and the right strategy we can change the course of our history."
He looked at each of them.
This mission will be dangerous. Some of us may not come back." "It's all heading to Perfect City. So I ask you once:
Are you with me?"
The room echoed.
"Yes!"
Blaze nodded, smiling.
"The heart of you warriors… that's why I fight. Now pack up. We've got distance to cover. And a friend to bring home."
