Chapter 2397 - Ascending Mount Tongtian

Qin Chuan never showed mercy to those who wanted to kill him, so these people met a tragic end. They rushed at Qin Chuan, brandishing their knives.

But the result was that they fell one by one, while the guards who had rushed from elsewhere dared not move.

Qin Chuan smiled and said to the few people around him, "Go, be quick. I feel I can hold you off for a day."

"One day is enough, thank you, brother. Let's not delay, let's go first, and thank you again when we get back," the man said solemnly, clasping his hands in a fist salute.

Qin Chuan waved his hand.

No one else dared to step forward, and Qin Chuan was too lazy to intervene. He took the opportunity to observe the surrounding area and ponder how to deal with what was to come.

These people were all insignificant; they were just here to clear the area. However, the other side should arrive soon, as they needed to make advance preparations.

Qin Chuan had come here to see if he could stop their deployment. To knock down a meteorite, a huge meteorite, couldn't be done by a single person.

At least for now, it probably wasn't possible, otherwise, Ren Jun and the others wouldn't have planned to stop it. Even if they had the strength, they probably wouldn't have the power to stop it.

To shatter a star with a flick of the finger—this power was currently beyond Qin Chuan's reach. It was a legendary existence, and Qin Chuan was certain it existed,

though only in the Nine Heavens.

Even then, such beings were extremely rare, and this was merely a massive meteorite, not a star, not even a small one. The ability

to shatter stars was unheard of, unimaginable. Legend had it that in the boundless starry sky dwelled ancient beasts capable of destroying stars and the sun and moon with a single breath…

Their world was even more unimaginable; for some beings, a star was like a lantern in this world, easily shattered with a wave of the hand.

Putting these thoughts aside, Qin Chuan would head to the Nine Heavens after this was over.

However, the Nine Heavens were undoubtedly vast and expansive, and finding Chu Shiqing and the others there wasn't guaranteed.

But regardless, this step had to be taken.

Time passed quickly, and half a day had gone by. The people watched Qin Chuan from afar, as if afraid he would run away.

As long as Qin Chuan didn't leave, these people would keep an eye on him from a distance. If Qin Chuan looked around, they would follow him at a distance.

Around noon, a group of about thirty people arrived. They were dressed in tight-fitting clothes, but Qin Chuan shook his head slightly upon seeing them.

The people these guards could summon were truly inadequate; they were much stronger than them, but still too weak for Qin Chuan's level.

However, Qin Chuan breathed a sigh of relief. These people were there to buy some time; they should be able to hold out for a day or two.

"Who dares to kill here? They're courting death! Seize them!"

The leader was a middle-aged man with hawk-like eyes, a sinister and cold expression, and a tall, imposing figure.

He arrived swiftly and decisively, without uttering a single word. After he finished speaking, the men surrounded Qin Chuan, each holding a curved short knife that gleamed with a cold, greenish light.

These blades were highly poisonous, and these icy blades were peculiar. Dozens of people all wielded these weapons, their coordination seamless, and their movements formed a natural formation.

The array was exquisite, catching Qin Chuan's eye. It was highly sophisticated, perfectly coordinated, and explained why his opponents were so confident, managing to defeat him so easily from the start.

If Qin Chuan hadn't understood arrays, this situation might have been truly troublesome, given the combination of the opponent's array, the strange weapon, and the potent poison.

This poison was formidable, though Qin Chuan was practically immune to all poisons. Of course, this didn't mean he couldn't be poisoned, just that most poisons were ineffective.

However, nothing is absolute; his immunity was due to the poison's low potency. With sufficient toxicity, no one could survive.

These people were simply unlucky to have encountered Qin Chuan, but Qin Chuan's greatest gain today was their array.

It's said that in a group of three, there must be one who can teach me. Sometimes, learning isn't limited to those stronger than oneself. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses.

Even those less capable can offer valuable lessons if you look closely.

This array was novel, strange, and unusual, but in terms of sheer sophistication and power, it didn't quite match Qin Chuan's.

However, Qin Chuan could draw inspiration from this formation, extracting some magical elements to integrate into his own, thus enhancing its power.

Qin Chuan moved freely, weaving through the formation and dodging attacks with ease. He needed to carefully study their formation, so he couldn't immediately eliminate these people.

"Young man, don't think you can fight us just because you know a few formations and formation steps. You're far from it. Don't be so blind in your next life," the man said with a sneer.

Qin Chuan casually summoned his treasure beast, the Vajra Rat, and then, while dodging, threw it. The Vajra Rat was already incredibly fast, and it had also used the Divine Piercing Technique.

Combined with Qin Chuan's throwing speed, it was incredibly fast.

*Thud!*

Before the man could even react, the Vajra Rat pierced his throat.

Dead!

Qin Chuan later discovered that using the Vajra Rat as a hidden weapon was incredibly effective. Not to mention these people, even those much stronger than Qin Chuan couldn't withstand this attack.

The man's eyes widened as he stared at Qin Chuan, filled with shock and disbelief. He hadn't expected to die, especially not in this way. He

truly died with his eyes wide open in disbelief.

The man was the leader here, and his death caused a brief tremor in the formation, but it quickly regained its footing and launched a fierce attack on Qin Chuan.

Half an hour later, everyone around Qin Chuan had fallen.

After that, things were peaceful; no one bothered Qin Chuan anymore. However, Qin Chuan couldn't afford to be complacent, so he set up a bewildering formation at the foot of the mountain.

Not content with that, he also planned to climb the mountain to see if he could make some changes, just in case. Qin Chuan felt there was a high probability it would be useful.

Climbing the mountain wasn't difficult, but the dangers at higher altitudes were immense, including the laws of nature, natural damage, and even unimaginable demonic beasts.

Qin Chuan stood on the back of the Five-Colored Dragon Bird, with several precious beasts, including the Dragon Baby and the Dragon Leopard Beast, beside him, in case of any unexpected events.

The five-colored dragon sparrow flew towards Mount Tongtian, its speed increasing rapidly, higher and higher, until the clouds were beneath its feet, and eventually, the clouds disappeared from sight.

It grew colder and colder, the chill penetrating to the bone. Even Qin Chuan, with his constitution, could feel a slight chill; anyone else would probably feel the biting wind.
