Jasmin's POV
A vampire's den. My luck couldn't possibly get any worse.
The putrid stench assaulted my nostrils immediately. It reeked of ancient copper that had festered into bone-dry decay for centuries.
As my eyes slowly adjusted to the dim lighting, I caught sight of familiar violet eyes studying me intently. My pulse hammered against my throat as unwanted memories surfaced. The weight of his body against mine. The unmistakable hardness he'd pressed against me. Heat flooded my cheeks and I quickly averted my gaze, but that proved to be an equally poor decision. Harris's piercing blue stare burned into me with an intensity that made my skin crawl. It wasn't him watching me anymore. This was his wolf, predatory and calculating.
My fingers twitched nervously at my sides. How long had he been studying me like this? And what exactly did he see when he looked at me?
What I didn't realize was that two other pairs of eyes were also tracking my every movement.
