Ever since I made the desperate choice to abandon my wedding and infiltrate Wolfborne Academy, one terror had consumed my thoughts more than any other. Not the risk of discovery. Not my father's inevitable wrath. It was the prospect of my heat cycle striking while surrounded by Alpha wolves.
Going into heat here would be nothing short of a death sentence. That's precisely why I'd been so frantic to secure the witch's perfume. This wasn't some ordinary fragrance designed merely to mask my scent. This was a potent elixir crafted to completely suppress my heat throughout my time at the Academy. The ancient witch who created it had delivered it with an ominous warning that still echoed in my mind.
Delaying the heat would amplify the agony when it finally arrived.
I'd accepted those terms without hesitation. Whatever torment awaited me later, I would forge my own destiny. Pain wouldn't break me.
