Marcus prepared the first rotor motors and connected them to an electric board before adding a battery.
But on the first try, the whole thing spun out of control and slammed into one of the walls.
"..."
"..."
"Too much power."
He replied, and Leila looked at the whole thing curiously. She didn't see him test new things like that.
The next test was around an hour later with a different setup.
This time around, the platform was flying, but the controls were difficult.
So, after another half an hour, the rotor configuration had changed, and Marcus had more control.
After a couple more tests, the foundations were finished and the next thing was to cover the frame, cameras and audio recording features.
In a matter of minutes, the assembly lines were online, and the creation of drones started.
Before long, Marcus was already developing a drone carrier, a grander version of a flying drone that works like a recharging station and storage unit.
It was like a box with two wings with a rotor in each wing, or at least the initial design, as successor models had similar looks to KK units.
Plasma wings, Ion thrusters, futuristic design with weaved armour at the molecular level that the KK units have.
Leila wondered if he was keeping himself to some sort of standard. Like… will he not release this technology until he is satisfied, even if, midway, he will suffer certain losses.
Her hunch was right, as he didn't deploy his drones and two more times his resources were stolen, and according to his knight, these crooks got better.
Jeremiah and his two followers, who turned into more followers, as most purebloods have heard about the knight's missions.
Who doesn't want upgrades? Who doesn't wish to do what makes purebloods pureblood? Showing superiority to 'lesser' race?
The guys joined in on the fun. Especially now that Marcus has access to the government computer, he can 'create' orders now, even make deployments.
Obviously, he can't make big moves without repercussions.
Once it could work, but several times in a row it could end badly for him.
Even the biggest retard would realise that the system is buggy. That is why, for now, he is abusing the lesser systems and deploying Purebloods for patrols as their presence in ghettos is weakening.
Well, he prepared several excuses that wouldn't be questioned, especially when Clovis himself deployed them.
That's why he loves absolute monarchy like this. When it works, it works. Not many dare to question Prince when he is Viceroy.
Not when such an assignment is a small thing.
However…
Even if he could deploy Knightmares like this, these rebels learned new tricks that disappear with his metals.
Cameras don't help as they get destroyed, even barbed fences got wrecked as these rebels started using Glasgows to steal and run away into the underground tunnels.
After a couple more days and more losses, Marcus was finally done…

[Sir, bait is set.]
"Good, then let's get to it," Marcus replied as he put on pilot's gloves and checked his shoes, then inspected his katana, which he kept in perfect condition.
As he was getting ready, a soothing voice from the back got his attention.
"What do you think?" Leila asked him; she was a bit shy.
He turned around and looked at her. He saw Leila dressed in a blue and yellow skin-tight body suit, highlighting her curves and assets, while her hair was done into two ponytails.
"Hmm? Oh, gorgeous." The inventor's price replied; he was taking in her curves. She was gorgeous.
"It's not fair that I can't join!" Meanwhile, an annoyed voice said from the side. Milly had puffy cheeks as her mobile suit was not ready.
Her suit's name is Flidais, named after the Celtic God of Archery, not a major god. Marcus wanted to name it after the god of the afterlife, but its name is Dunn… almost sounds like Dom, a Zion Mobile suit, not something he is quite fond of. He prefers Gundams since his machines have similarities to Gundams.
"Your mech is still being built. Instead of wasting time waiting, you should rest." Marcus eyes went away from the modern Joan of Arc and on Milly, who was waiting there with crossed arms.
"Hmph, I can give support as it is! I can be like a comms officer. Watch what the government is doing." She puffed her chest, proud of her idea.
The Fallen Prince looked at her for a second.
"That is a good idea." He nodded at her suggestion, then looked at his computer.
"You can use my computer for this mission."
"Okay~" The girl strolled to his computer and sat down in his chair.
She looked around, trying to understand the setup of this computer.
As she was trying to figure out, Marcus' eyes were back on Leila, who slightly smirked at him. She got closer.
"Can't stop staring at me?" She teased for a bit, but it only led to him pulling her closer, his hand wrapped around her waist.
"Indeed~ now come, follow me." He pulled her to the glass wall. Behind the wall, the platforms moved, and the glass opened, and the machine came out.
Leila's eyes glittered as she saw a blue and yellow machine drop on one knee and offer a hand to stand on.
"...This is Andraste? The Goddess of War…" The girl mumbled under her breath as she gazed at this machine.
"KK-11 Andraste. A machine built specifically for your style of fighting. There is no other machine like this in the world, and it will never be, because it was perfectly customised just for Leila."
The girl, for a second, turned to the side and looked at him.
"Trying to smooth-talk me?" She joked. By this point, there was no need for that anymore.
"I will always do that." He shrugged, not caring about the whole thing about her surrendering to him. He still loves flirting with her and doing all those cuddles.
"Good~." She leaned forward and kissed him for a second before jumping on the mech's hand, and the machine lifted her and brough her closer to the cockpit.
The blonde girl got into her seat, and the very next moment realised that it was identical to the simulations she had done!
It made sense… since it was identical to KK-01 Taranis… to some extent. But that one had a movable control stick between the plane and humanoid modes.
But back then, she didn't pay much attention; only now does she pay extra attention to the difference between her model and Marcus'.
As the mech scanned the pilot, it powered up, adding her biometrics as primary user. After notification windows were dismissed, the girl was ready to go.
Leila looked at Marcus, who was watching his girl board her mobile suit.
"Ready to go?" He asked her.
"Yes."
"Good, then the doors are opening for you." The Inventor Prince pointed at the double metal doors that opened for the girl.
The blonde looked at the doors, wondering if she could fly through the tunnel…
"Use autopilot if you don't want to fly through the tunnels yourself." He already knew that she would be nervous at this point. Leila was quite cute, as she had already racked a considerable amount of hours just flying and fighting, but she is still nervous when it comes to real flying…
"No, I will do it!" With that said, Andraste's thrusters glowed as the machine lifted up and began to fly slowly towards the exit of the workshop.
Marcus shook his head as he walked over, and his Taranis walked out with a motion, the humanoid machine folded into its plane mode.
The Inventor Prince strolled to his machine and got into the cockpit,
The hatch locked itself as the belt automatically held him in place, the security system scanned him before the screens turned on and showed OS booting up.
With a thought, he dismissed the notifications, pushed the lever forward, and then accelerated, leaving the workshop and moving through the tunnels towards the exit.
After he left the workshop, he activated the drone carrier. A huge plane-shaped drone that carries 25 smaller drones.
His plane is a prototype, a good test run for his upcoming Mobile Suit carrier, Blackbird. Both of them have experimental tech; the plane has larger thrusters, a more complex version of the Fusion Reactor that is linked to the plane's core systems.
Alongside a different frame, smaller bot workers inside a plane that maintain drones.
It's quite a bit of experimental tech, but he is confident they will work to an acceptable level.
As he left the tunnels, he rushed into the sky. Moments later, another plane left the tunnel as well. It was a dull white plane without windows. The plane followed Marcus, and the two machines arrived at an acceptable height above the Japanese islands.
Before long, sections of the drone plane hull opened and smaller triangle-shaped drones poured out, and began to descend to a specific area where Marcus' bait was taken away.
~~~
"Damn! Another great haul!"
Black painted Glasgows rushed through destroyed streets towards the mountains in southern Japan.
These Glasgows would move through specific routes, to drop 'idiotic' Britannians who would fail their scheme once more.
Or at least in their heads, their plan was perfect.
After passing the derelict city, they jumped into tunnels and began to rush towards their base.
"Yeah, that fool continues to operate his scrapyards outside his little city!"
"Easy pickings for us."
The freedom fighters grinned, sure these guy got a fancy fence with barbed wires, but it's pointless against their freshly restored Glasgows.
"If we continue like this, Kyoto House would invest in us even more!"
The pilots continued to talk about their success via comms that were already hacked; through that excitement, they didn't notice a small echo in their conversations.
After leaving the tunnels, the four Glasgows rushed towards the mountain base.
Once the machines were inside, they were greeted by guys who were wearing white bandanas with Japan's flag.
"Holy shit! That's quite a catch! This could be around 50 kilos of high-grade titanium!" The leader whistled, seeing the catch. He could sell this to get another batch of Glasgows.
His calculations come from all the previous catches of titanium he stole.
The guy has no idea why Anaheim needs this metal, as far as he is aware, they use forms of carbon.
It could be that Anaheim is making more than just Exoskeletons and Prosthetics! This could be said to be a high-grade military resource used in warships and defences.
It could be that they are stealing material that Anaheim is selling to the Military Industrial Complex!
Now that idea caused the leader to feel a cold chill pass through his back.
"...do you hear that?" One of the freedom fighters stopped smiling and looked around.
"...a buzz? Bees?"
Everyone looked around. The sound got louder.
Then a booming voice spread through the whole place as the ceiling exploded, and white small-like planes poured in and surrounded the entire base of theirs.
"No one is going to sell anything. Especially my metal." A dark purple and black humanoid machine descended from the sky like a deity.
"W-What are you!?" The guys panicked as they quickly realised that they were cornered.
Behind this machine, another one descended, causing these guys to despair!
Two of these things!? What the hell!?
"Y-You can take these crates!" The leader swiftly offered the loot back.
*Snort*
"Do you think this will clench my anger? You pests delayed my plans for weeks!"
"Then… DIE."
The crazy bastards pulled out weapons like rifles, Molotov cocktails, pistols, grenade launchers, and rocket launchers.
They all were trigger-happy, explosions, sounds of bullets and sounds of glass shattering spread through the whole base of the Freedom fighters.
After the smoke and frenzy settled down, the sounds of rotor didn't stop…
Several drones did drop from the sky, as rockets and grenades took them out…
But the attacks that went towards the humanoid machines… There was not a single scratch on them.
"Is your hissy fit over? Can we decide how you all are going to die?"
