Britannian forces dedicated to the acquisition of Anaheim technology were a bit confused by these two unknown kids joining the operation.
On top of that, they got the newest state-of-the-art mobile suits—the machines which just rolled out from the factory.
The newest Zaku machines that got the custom linear railguns and heat axes.
"We shall take the lead, once we have secured the front, you can enter the facility and take the data on the battery charging." The brown haired teen said as he got dressed in a pilot's suit.
A large truck that was hiding in a cavern was revealed to be carrying a Zaku on its back.
The boy entered the machine's cockpit in the mobile suit's head.
"I shall begin the operation with Clara."
The pink-haired girl next to him slowly nodded. She was dressed in a pink pilot suit, and her Zaku was next to his. They were stationed in the desert for the last couple of days…
It was a dreary place, and she hated Anaheim more the longer they needed to be in this damn desert!
But now, they can move out, and the two Zaku's finally moved out and began to move towards the westernmost Anaheim outpost in the Taklamakan Desert.
First phase of the operation was a missile strike from the Caspian Sea as the submarines unleashed volleys of missiles.
As the missiles were getting intercepted, the two Zakus moved in.
The brown haired teen's right eye glowed as the pilots in the Setantas stopped in their tracks as he opened fire on these machines with his linear railgun, causing them to explode.
When he cancelled his Geass, the fellow pilot next to him complained.
"Oh, c'mon, Nebiros, your Geass is so not fair in these kinds of situations." The girl complained.
"Focus, Clara, we have a mission to finish."
The brown-haired teen replied as he focused on what is before him.
'I shall get my revenge for killing all of our brothers and sisters.' The Geass user's expression turned dead serious as he had his Zaku approach the base.
Now that the three Setantas were destroyed, they could approach.
Though not for long, as more machines were approaching them.
"Get ready, Clara."
"On it!" The girl moved forward and began to shoot with her linear Railgun.
Her first shot was a clean hit as another Setanta blew up. The other two machines began to do evasive manoeuvres.
But that was pointless, as when they got close, the male Geass user activated his Geass, and the machines stopped. This is where he used his Linear Railgun to blow them up.
Once the mechs are destroyed, he stops his geass.
"The coast is clear, send in infiltration units to collect the data." The pilot instructed the ground team as he looked around the area.
"Understood, Nebiros."
Soon enough, several camouflaged soldiers rushed into the hangars where the battery charging equipment is stored.
What the soldiers found was a completely automated system. There are robotic hands that move the rectangular batteries into a specifically prepared liquid, where the battery insides are replaced, and new, charged liquid is filled. It's pulled out and stored in a special coolant.
None of the stuff they saw made much sense to these regular soldiers, but they took pictures, tried to hack into the terminals, and encountered unknown software.
This software didn't budge; instead, what they got was a complete lockdown of all systems.
"S-Shit! Damn it all! Why this has to be so damn difficult!?" The leading officer complained as he tried to connect his laptop to these consoles.
But all he got was viruses flooding his laptop!
After copying and deleting everything, the laptop screen turned black, and a laughing skull appeared in the middle of the screen.
There was a sentence under it. It said: 'All your base are belong to us.' It was poorly written English that was driving the soldier mad.
"Ugh!!!"
The Britannian soldier closed the laptop before looking around.
"In that case, collect everything that we can carry; we don't have much time!"
The man instructed his followers as he looked at the timer on his watch. There were around 4 minutes left.
But then an explosion followed.
'Already!?'
A nervous look appeared on his face as he heard over the radio that one of the Zaku's had been destroyed. The pilot survived thanks to the ejection mechanism, but they were running out of time.
~~~~~~A Few Moments Ago~~~~~~
A blue and yellow beam slammed into Clara's Zaku as the mobile suit blew up. Thankfully, in the very last second, the suit's head ejected from the body and flew away towards the truck's direction.
The other Zaku pilot looked at a distance.
His machine's system began to malfunction.
'Solar radiation… this is one of those KK units.' He swiftly flipped a couple of buttons, and his Zaku's systems recalibrated.
'This will drain the batteries faster, but at least I can fight properly.'
The switch was to boost the performance and initiate a magnetic field around the vulnerable electronics. But that's an optional protection, as there are only a few KK units in the whole world.
So it was added as optional, now he needed to use it.
'Let's see if the linear Railgun works on you.'
The Zaku pointed the rifle and shot at the KK unit before him.
The machine that had a huge sniper rifle effortlessly dodged before folding the massive rifle and pulling out two pistols, and began to shoot at the Zaku.
Seeing that the Linear Railgun was too slow for him, he decided to switch tactics.
'I need to get close for my geass to work.'
He threw his linear railgun into the incoming beams, and the rifle's battery ignited upon contact with the incoming attack and caused a large explosion. The Zaku used the smoke to lunge in with a superheated axe.
'Now!'
His right eye glowed as he activated his Geass, then swung the axe.
The KK machine just stood there. But then all of a sudden it moved away!
'...Impossible! The pilot is in my Geass range!'
What is going on?
~~~
"What just happened?" The blonde pilot of Flidais looked confused as she looked around the cockpit.
[Irregularities detected, beginning analysis.]
Milly looked confused as she looked at the one-eyed green machine before her.
'Something is not right. The location where this machine was standing has changed.'
The girl used her neural interface to check the data. The swift check made her realise that she just stood there and allowed the enemy machine to get close and almost allow him to hit her!
Thankfully, she is not alone in this fight. Flidais is here to support her when something like that happens.
[There is a high percentage that this pilot has a type of Geass that interferes with your perception of time.]
"...You mean to say that this guy can make me feel that time has stopped for me?"
[Yes. That is what I have concluded. I am continuing to observe this phenomenon.]
Milly frowned as she decided to capture this pilot. A Geass user may mess with her perception, but not her machine! So if she brings this one back to Anaheim, they can study such geass and use it against Marcus' enemies.
"You are coming with me!"
The girl moved in and tried to shoot, but once again she realised that Flidais dodged an axe swing for her.
"Flidais, you take dodging for me while I focus on trying to take out this machine's legs and limbs!"
[Understood, changing into active assistance.]
And so a strange form of cat-and-mouse game began as Milly tried to shoot the guy who would use his Geass to get close.
But this didn't last long as Flidais gathered enough data to have some conclusive findings.
[The pilot's Geass has a specific range.]
"...Range? Then it's good that I am Goddess of Range!"
Flidais Ion Thrusters ignited as the machine demonstrated why they are named after gods! It appears almost a hundred metres away before pulling out her sniper rifle and locking in.
*BAM*
The Zaku's lower body ended up being shredded, and the mech head detached and flew away.
"...They have ejection units?" She frowned for a second.
"As expected of them. They are not that confident in their technology."
[I do recommend that our regular troops should have them as well.]
"...I guess they do have a purpose." She shrugged before following where the head landed.
Several kilometres away, she found the Zaku's heads in a mountainous area.
"How are you, sensors in a desert?"
[Using heat sensors in a desert is pointless. I can't detect anything.]
Milly can see an array of the spectrum. She found the two heads of the mobile suit. But the people were long gone.
"...How did they vanish like that?" She complained to her AI.
But the next moment, her warning system lit up as Flidais detected several missiles heading her way.
*Tsk!!!*
The girl holstered her pistols and pulled out her sniper rifle. The AI calculated the angle before starting to shoot the missiles out of the sky.
'Those bastards were aiming for the military base!'
After erasing the ballistic missiles, she rushed to locate the missile's source.
It was in the Caspian Sea. And it didn't take long for Milly to find these submarines. The Flidais easily tracked these ships.
Unlike the desert. Finding things in the sea is far easier.
Once she got the heat source, her mobile suit dove into the water and swiftly reached the submarine before blowing it up.
But this was not the only one, as soon enough, she located the other two that she blew up as well.
With the danger of missiles over, she went back to the desert.
'Well, this is annoying. I can't find the Geass user.'
After looking for a couple more moments, she left the area.

"The KK unit is gone. Remove the covers."
Huge cloaks were removed from the trucks. The trucks were hidden under specially prepared cloaks. These cloaks, combined with Desert sand and the cover of a cavern, were able to hide them.
"...This was close… but damn that machine is dangerous, it crossed thousands of miles in a matter of moments."
"Yeah… did you upload the data?"
The Britannian soldiers talked among themselves as they were relieved.
"We shall be taking all of the files and the chemicals you have acquired." The teenage pilot of the Zaku said to the soldiers.
"...Sure…"
The guys were nervous after seeing this guy wield strange powers.
Moments later, the pink-haired girl collected the samples.
And then the two left with a specially prepared desert buggy.
Once the pair were gone, the soldiers looked relieved; they prepared to leave the caverns with their empty trucks.
Their location was Euro Britannia in the North.
However, just around ten minutes into the drive, the blue beams with yellow lightning erased these trucks.

"Impressive, dear brother… You figured out my satellite surveillance, were able to hide from Flidais AI, and organised such a raid for mere batteries." Marcus shook his head as he checked the files on the raid and what Milly reporters as well.
However, one thing that he did find disturbing was that Rolo is alive.
'I do wonder who else is alive from the Geass Order?'
He was a bit concerned, but at the same time excited that there were some people who survived the destruction of the Geass Order.
"I saw the reports… it would seem Charles still has people with Geass," C.C. spoke as she was looking at a white cube of stone floating in the air above a pedestal.
"They did. But the numbers should be limited. Besides, this was a daring move that cost Schneizel a considerable amount of the limited resources he had.
I blew up most of the military infrastructure they had.
This was a move of theirs, which was proof that their influence in Asia is extremely weak. This is an invitation for me to claim the reminder of Asia, Europe and even Africa." He said, while looking at the latest toy he had built from all the research he had done on ancient human technology.
Levitation is only one of many things he will learn from them…
