Marcus has put his plan into action. He mobilised the majority of available forces to surround India from all sides.
He even delayed the invasion for a short while.
This was to allow his newly created battalions to train for several more days. Such a pause helped new spaceships to get into position as well. The Sirius and Centauri Class Warships began their descent into the planet's surface. It was a total war situation as Anaheim is no longer hiding its might in space.
"Gods… what the hell!?" At the Himalayan border, the recently recreated Indian army was watching the light show in the skies.
Massive meteorite-like ships were descending onto the planet. Surrounded by flames, the skies turned red and orange.
This was happening all over the Subcontinent. In recently conquered Indochina, the Ocean separating Indonesia, and even in the Persian Lands, several Sirius Carriers took positions there.
Marcus' three warships left Antarctica and ended up just South of the island of Sri Lanka.
"Phew… It's good to leave the South Pole; that place is just dreary." Kallen commented as she was enjoying the warm weather of the Indian Ocean.
"I agree on that. But we left that place because of the upcoming war with India." Jeanne replied. She was a bit surprised that Anaheim signed a ceasefire with Euro Britannia.
That made the nation separate from Britannia as a nation, as Charles didn't send any sort of notice about the ceasefire.
This means that Euro Britannia, that is, a Tributary State, is acting on its own.
"I think we are going overboard. We are bringing close to a million strong to assist in this fight. Hell, Marcus even positioned the Particle Cannon towards them." Kallen commented as she leaned back and enjoyed the sunshine.
The girls were at the edge of the catapult deck in the Carrier warship that Marcus is using as his Flagship.
"Maybe, but it's one of those moves that is done on purpose." Jeanne knew that such a show of force is done on purpose.
Deployment of the new navy all at once was not in the cards.
The Inventor was keeping the bulk away so that he could take Constantinople.
Yet now, all that force descended upon the Subcontinent of India.
"...Yes. I could see that on his face. Marcus is happy to see that the enemy is mass-producing their Mobile Suits."
'I don't know about the happiness part.' Jeanne frowned at that.
"...At least I got a Scathach machine for myself." The Knight girl sighed; at least she was moving up in the ladder of mobile suits.
Kallen turned around and smiled at her.
"I heard that he is collecting your fighting data as we speak. He will use it to make a custom machine for you.
So don't lose hope. No Knight should pilot a mass-produced model." Kallen tried to reassure her.
Jeanne looked at her, wondering when she had heard that.
'Oh…'
At that moment, she recalled that this crimson-haired girl was spending quite a bit of her time in his quarters now.
"...so you heard about it…in one of your visits?" The Knight girl asked her. Trying to sound as casual as possible, not being… judgmental or anything, since Marcus is her Lord, yet this girl is not 'official' girlfriend like Leila is.
Kallen, for a second, blushed as she looked away before swiftly standing up from the edge of the catapult deck.
And then looking back at the Brownish-Red-haired Knight girl.
"Y-Yes… he did. A-Anyway, he was the one who s-seduced me anyway!" Kallen tried to explain herself.
"You don't need to explain yourself to me. I am here to follow orders for my Lord, not question his love life." The girl shook her head as she said that.
"Is that right? You Britannians and your nobles thing… would you follow his orders if he ordered you to strip?" The crimson-haired pilot girl asked, her question tinged with genuine curiosity.
Jeanne blushed this time as she didn't say a thing for a couple of seconds before taking a deep breath and answering the question.
"If this is what he is asking of me." Marcus' Knight replied with a straight face, though there was a thin blush on her cheeks.
"...I see… You are devoted. That is for sure." Kallen was impressed. Even in such a situation, Jeanne would do it.
"I am simply following his orders. That is all. That is the reason for my existence."
"..."
The KK-pilot looked surprised for a second. That's extreme devotion. That's for sure!
"Well, thankfully, he won't do that as he is busy." The Crimson-haired girl recalled Marcus' excited face as he got data on the next-generation Fusion Reactor that can create artificial gravity.
This means the pathway for 3rd-generation mobile suits is open, and their development can begin!
~~~
As Kallen was thinking this is what Marcus was doing, the Exiled Prince began the development of the True Gundam.
The successors of the KK-Units. Their name will continue from the previous generation, but they won't be KK-Units.
That's because these machines are made from the ground up for a new Platform. Based around the 3rd Generation Fusion Reactor, these machines will radiate gravity waves from their very bones.
The new alloy based on Graviton Resonators will make these machines capable of ignoring gravity, as if they were separated from the outside world.
This means that Marcus can ignore the weight of this machine. He can pump as much technology as he wants.
At the same time, he can utilise gravitational forces in his weaponry.
Thus, the name he came up with for these machines is 'Gundam Thrones', the most powerful mobile suits in existence.
Wielding Fundamental Forces like this, this machine could cross the cosmos at absurd speed and ignore the speed of light entirely.
"Sir. We are in position."
The Carrier Spaceship's Captain brought the Exiled Prince back from his thoughts as he looked up. For a second, he closed his eyes and opened them again, dismissing his Geass.
"Sigh. Then begin the operation Shatter Hope." He dismissively ordered the operation to begin.
"Sent the word! Mobile suits launch!" The Captain motioned for officers to begin relaying orders.
"And tell Gundam pilots to start their descent. Let the enemy know that they lost the moment they decided to resist." Marcus smirked for a second as he was amused that people still wanted to resist when he brought such force down from space.
"Understood, contacting G-Force."
A few moments later, he saw five new dots entering the atmosphere throughout the Subcontinent.
"And tell my dearest sister to do whatever she wants. In the meantime, I shall begin to lay waste to their military infrastructure."
With that said, the Inventor Prince stood up and lazily began to walk towards the lift that would take him down to the catapult deck.
"I shall come with you." Leila rushed after him, as before, she was organising the deployment of the forces through South and West, while Cornelia was commanding North and East.
"Sure."
"Will you be using Ecne?"
The moment the girl mentioned that machine, Marcus frowned.
"Might as well do that." He seriously nodded.
"You do know you should take it easy. C.C. is quite traumatised when it comes to Geass, and you just made a machine that can artificially use any Geass you have recorded beforehand." The blonde girl said with a worried tone.
"This machine is essential for the next step of humanity." He grumpily replied before leaning into the wall of the lift.
"It was designed to boost the human mind, pushing to the limit so that one's brainwaves could improve.
Once I collect enough data, humans could potentially have psionic powers in future." He explained to her.
"C.C. is acting like a scared cat. Instead of looking at it curiously, she is trying to bury the problem at the first sign of trouble."
"Maybe because she was traumatised by it before?" Leila reasoned, understanding how the witch is feeling… somewhat, and how Marcus is feeling.
"...Whatever," the Inventor shrugged before talking to his AI. "Legion, tell the crew to prepare Ecne for me."
[Understood, sir. It will take a few moments longer as we were planning Tiranis for you.]
"Take your time." He looked at his girlfriend. "You should prepare for your launch."
Leila crossed her arms as she looked at him.
"I will, don't worry about me. We will make sure India falls quickly. The less conflict, the better. We should crush them with absolute power so that they won't resist."
'Pacifists… when they wage war… wars don't last long.'
One would say that warmongers are the most dangerous. How wrong they are!
The most terrifying people are those who wage war as pacifists.
"Do whatever you want, Leila. Remember, I made machines, not control how you wage war." He shrugged.
As the lift arrived at the catapult deck.
Leila smirked when she heard that.
"That's amusing coming from you. We are here to wage war because you want it. Because you want to rule the world." She shook her head.
"We are waging the final war where humanity is fighting each other. There won't be any more conflicts between us." Marcus said with a certain word.
"...That depends." Leila wasn't that sure. She might have been an idealist before, but she simulated enough of humanity with Legion to know that humans love conflict just as much as they love peace.
"It doesn't depend. It is how it shall be. Once Britannia is crushed, the world shall fall in place, and we shall focus on the cosmos.
People won't have time to think about their neighbours when the stars themselves call us.
Simply put, humans will be too busy to care about small things." He explained to her without waiting for a reply as he went to the locker room.
The girl pondered his words for a second before walking after him.
'Maybe. But then again, who knows what the future holds? I wasn't expecting an ancient civilisation in the South Pole, but there was one.' Leila shook her head. The world is simply too big, and that's not even thinking about space.
After changing into a pilot suit, Marcus walked to the hangar.
The lift moved as KK-51/DA01 Ecne was moved into position.
The mech was quite slender compared to Tiranis and half as thin as Dagda.
BUT…
This machine is, so far, the strongest thing Marcus has ever built.
For a simple reason: it has the GEASS System, which powers all of its offensive systems.
As the Exiled Prince walked over, the mech's Yellow eyes glowed as the machine offered its hand.
The Inventor jumped onto the offered palm, and the mech brought its hand to the torso, where Marcus got into the cockpit.
Once inside, he got into the seat that adjusted to him. The very next moment, the neural link connected, and a HUD popped up.
This was a two-layered system. The cockpit has its 360-degree monitors and a direct line of sight to the person's eyes. This means it's like having a see-through VR headset that lets him interact with systems at absurd speeds, without needing to press any extra buttons.
Marcus' eyes scanned all of the systems.
'Fusion reactor stable, Ion engines online, float support, targeting systems, Geass booster, Geass Library, Legion support.
Everything is good.'
"KK-51 Ecne is ready for launch." Marcus contacted the comms tower.
"Understood, the catapult deck is clear for you, my Prince."
The Prince nodded as the mech was loaded into the magnetic rails.
He could see the traffic lights switch from red to yellow, then to green.
When the Inventor saw that he was good to go, he pushed the thruster lever to max before pushing the pedal down.
The mech's Ion Thruster glowed brightly before he was launched out of the carrier at neck-breaking speed.
As Ecne was gone, Leila wondered how this machine would perform; she had never seen a Geass-powered suit before.
There are a bunch of things she is wondering.
Not that she had much time to think as her Astraste was lifted to the deck.
"Let's end this. I wonder if Britannian will capitulate after seeing our power?"
It was wishful thinking, but in this situation, this is what she is hoping because…
What else is there for those people? Could they possibly resist Anaheim's power?
