Chapter 255 - Book Two Epilogue

As Tiranis landed, the pair got out and put on winter coats before heading towards the Thought Elevator.

Soon enough, the pair were in the World of C as they walked towards the elevated platform.

Marcus 'moved' the platform towards the massive Collective Unconsciousness.

"Stay close."

"You don't need to tell me that." Euphemia snuggled into his hand as she was enjoying the moment.

Marcus chuckled as soon as he began to look for Via.

Honestly, this is where he realised… how big it was and how FAR that world was from him.

For the first time, he felt a sense of distance in this reality.

"...Marcus?"

A brown-haired lady in a lab coat suddenly spoke to him.

"Via. It would seem I finally found you." The Emperor said with a victorious smile. He found her! Several realities away, but damn, he did it!

"...What is going on? I am sure I am dead." She was confused. The lady was in perpetual peace, but now that Marcus was here, she was a bit emotional.

"You are dead," Marcus commented as his eyes glowed, as he sent Geass energy at her and merged with the lady.

"What is going on?" Via was confused as she looked at her hands.

"I am pissed at what you did. You decided to hide things from me, and that is very naughty." The Emperor narrowed his eyes as he stared at her.

"..."

"You know what I mean. I am sure you know these two specific names. Cagalli and Kira?" He mentioned those two.

"..."

The brown-haired woman slightly grimaced.

"Yes, I know, it was hard to breach that point." She didn't know what to say.

"Well, now you will have eternity to breach it as." As Marcus said, he used a power he had seen his mother use only once: soul transfer.

He made Via's soul 'alive' and capable of existing without returning to Collective Unconsciousness.

At that moment, the lady 'changed' the previous urge she had to rest disappeared, and she returned to normal.

"What just happened?" Now that her gaze was no longer clouded, she felt better and noticed something strange about Marcus.

"I am bringing you back; you are going to pay for that naughty behaviour. I literally conquered the whole world and saved our kids. When I returned to that world."

"...Excuse me?"

The Emperor simply smirked, not explaining to her; instead, he grabbed her and pulled her towards the exit.

Euphemia, who saw the whole exchange, realised that this lady was going to experience quite a bit of a shock soon enough.

~~~
Cagalli and Kira were as speechless as they watched a brown-haired lady getting a haircut.
"I was certain that mother was dead."
"She was dead." The pair of them simply stared at her.
"Indeed, she was, but then I decided to bring her back," Marcus commented as he finished with the haircut.
"..."
Via didn't say a thing as she was still processing the fact that Marcus dragged her from the afterlife and resurrected her in a new, more powerful body.
Apart from having red rings around her eyes, the rest were exactly as she remembers; she doesn't look older than her early twenties. Though her mental faculties and strength were far greater, was she a coordinator?
Anyway, her eyes fell on two teenagers staring at her in disbelief.
"We are finished here, go on, last time you saw them was just babies, I am right?" The Emperor commented as he put aside the scissors.
"...Yes."
She slowly got up and walked over to them.
Funny enough, Cagalli was quick to lunge into her hands as she didn't question; only Kira was still somewhat confused, as he had no idea how to interact with her.
"You really do look like Marcus." Via chuckled as she hugged Cagalli.
"Hmph! Everyone keeps on saying that! I get it! But it should be obvious, after all, I am his daughter." The Princess complained as she kept on hugging her mother.
"Yes, that's right." Via hugged the girl even tighter, but then she looked at Kira.
"Come here. It has been ages~."
At the end of the day, Kira sighed as he ended up getting pulled into a hug.
Marcus smiled at them as he began to clean up the aftermath. He used the same technology which he created Lacus with to recreate Via, after all, he has her DNA, an extensive amount of it stored in his vault.
So he simply created a blank-slate body and had it merge with the soul he brought back from the Collective Unconsciousness.
Of course, after getting to know her kids, the next part was where she was, and that was quite a journey.
Who Marcus was, and what he did. The lady paled as she realised that she had seduced a literal World Conqueror who was just visiting her world.
Well, she was proud of the fact that he returned to her several times after her first encounter, though she should have used some protection back then, but it doesn't matter now.
She was in a new world, a very different world, a peaceful world.
Though being part of a harem was a bit strange, she will get used to it, especially since everyone in the palace is an interesting individual.
But sadly, her kids were all grown up, so she had no chance to be a mother.
Thankfully, Marcus promised something which made the scientist lady's heart beat faster.
After bringing Via back, things returned to how they were before.
Humanity is expanding, more colonies are getting built, and Marcus' twins are adjusting to the new life in his reality.
In the Gundam Seed universe, Marcus left everything in a peaceful state.
He left a form of democracy that should hold for a while. He removed the Terrorists a.k.a Blue Cosmos, and Anaheim with Legion still exists, which should allow humanity to flourish for at least several hundred years.
That's the best he could do for one of his favourite realities.
Regardless, Marcus has left that world behind and focused on the expansion of humanity. He incorporated Mirage Colloid and the Voiture Lumiere into his warships, boosting their speed by more than 50%, an impressive feat given they were already fast.
"What do you think, wonderful isn't it?" Marcus asked the lady who was the newest addition to the Academy City, Aura Maha Khyber.
He allowed her to get used to the Empire before bringing her to Saturn, the massive 'Port' Planet.
The massive V-shaped Mothership alongside his Fleet was waiting for him.
"..."
The blonde was simply staring at the monstrosity.
"You will be coming with me; I shall personally train and educate you."
The woman trembled as she turned towards him and looked at him with wide eyes.
"...C-Can we discuss…"
"Discuss what? You will love my training and education. My wives love it." He smirked at her as his hand went to her chin and stroked it.
"..."
At that moment, her brain caught up as she realised what he meant! Her eyes widened as she began to blush.
Part of her became giddy as she wanted to see what kind of child she could produce! Another part of her was worried as she wasn't sure.
"Fufufu, so you realised, good, pity that I can't bring back the assistant."
"...You brought Via back, what is stopping you?" Aura asked with a frown. She does want to see her again.
"Simple, really, collective unconsciousness works differently on people. There are those who have accepted their death and moved on. Via didn't; your assistant did." He shrugged, dissapointed. The Emperor wanted a bit of action with a science pair.
"I see… I never imagined that the afterlife is like that." Aura commented as her gaze went to the mothership.
"...What are you going to do that with that?" She asked, impressed by the sheer size of this ship. As someone who wanted to be part of some form of nobility, being in a literal monarchy is making that dream come true.
Only that it could have been better how she got here.
"Everything." He replied with a single word.
"From colonising worlds, to building up colonies, to making warships, to being a capital. This Camelot-Class Mothership is everything one would want to have to explore the very cosmos." Marcus explained to her as he motioned to follow him.
"Our first destination is approximately 31 light-years away. Eventually, we will arrive at the Trappist Solar system that is 40 light-years away.
Unlike other motherships, my one goes where I want." Marcus said with a smile.
"...Trappist…what is that?"
"A solar system that has 3 planets in the habitable zone, a solar system with seven rocky worlds." He explained to her.
"...And can this mothership fly fast?" Aura wasn't keen on flying for thousands of years.
"Heh, so you skipped the fact that we are on Saturn. How long did it take for you to arrive here?" Marcus rolled his eyes. Sometimes women can be so oblivious to their surroundings.
"...I-I see so it works everywhere?"
"I suppose I will give you proper education on the side of my 'usual'." The Emperor grinned as the pair left the observation deck and moved towards a lift that would take them to the hangars.
"..."
"You will stay with me, as I will use your genetic prowess to adjust plants and biological life for my new colonies.
I already have a team, and my oldest daughter is one of the experts. But they don't stay with me the whole time. You will.
In fact, I am quite happy that you decided to rebel against me back then." He winked at her, making the woman slightly grimace.
Yeah, one should be mad at her for doing that. Marcus instead terrifies her into obedience.
"I will do whatever I can. But my expertise is human genes. Not other lifeforms or plants." Aura sighed at him.
"I know, so you will learn and will eventually transition to an Innovator, boosting your abilities."
As he said, they arrived at the hangar where a shuttle was waiting for them.
But they were not alone.
"Oh, is that you, Aura Maha Khyber?" Via was extremely surprised to see someone from her previous world!
"Yes. I have heard that you were brought back, and now I can see it with my own eyes. You can truly bring people back to life." The blonde scientist commented, looking first at a recently deceased woman and then at Marcus, who was smiling at them.
"Yes, well, it's still a gamble, anyway, we should be going." Marcus began to walk towards the shuttle.
"What about your other wives?" Aura asked, surprised. She could only see Via and her. There is no one else.
"Lacus is already on the ship, and others will be visiting me in rotations. There are powerful antennas that allow long-range communication. I will still be making appearances in my court.
I am still the Emperor. What you should be worried about is yourself and what you can do."
"I will help, I don't know how much, but I will try. It's the least that I can do." Via smiled, making Marcus shake his head. That positive outlook is what made him ravage her like that, and now he is feeling that urge once more.
"You can do that Via, now come, we are going to my new Avalon."
The pair followed after him as they got into the shuttle.
"I was wondering what is with the Arthurian Myths in the naming that you are using," Aura asked him.
"Well, there is a story why—"
As the shuttle left towards the Mothership, the preparations slowly began for what would be known as the second wave of Imperial expansion, the biggest of its kind. Where four enormous motherships and an array of warships, survey and colonising ships, will spread humanity through the local cluster and eventually encounter the first-ever true alien civilisation, which will lead to the accident known as 'First Contact'.
