Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 – The Confession

The next day, I couldn't stop thinking about her.Every time I looked at my phone, I expected a new message, a new "hi," a new reason to smile.

I finally sent one.

Good morning.

A few minutes later, my screen lit up —❤️❤️❤️

She didn't need words. Those little red hearts said everything.

We talked all day — about work, school, random things that didn't matter but somehow meant everything. And when night came, I couldn't resist. I called her.

"Hey," she answered, and I could hear her smile through the phone."Hey," I said back. Then silence — the kind that carries something heavy."We need to talk about yesterday," I finally said."I know," she replied softly. Her voice turned serious. "What are we doing?"

That question hit deep. Because honestly, I didn't know. All I knew was how I felt.

"I don't know," I said, "but I know what I want.""What do you want?" she whispered."You. I want to be with you."

There was silence. My heart pounded so loud I could hear it.

Then her voice came, quiet but full of emotion.

"I want that too. But…" she hesitated. "You're going to ask my parents, right?"

Reality hit me like a wave.We weren't kids anymore, but still — that question made me nervous. I had never done anything like that.

"Of course," I said quickly. "When can I come?""Tomorrow," she replied. "They'll be home around seven.""Alright," I said, trying to sound calm — but inside, I was shaking.

When we hung up, I stared at the ceiling, replaying her words in my mind.Tomorrow, I'd stand in front of her parents and make it official.

It was terrifying. But it was also the best feeling in the world.
