Chapter 66 - Chapter 66

After being directed to the first year dining hall, Princess Marina, Falorin and Fawn split up to find their friends.

The first person Princess Marina bumped into was Maria and Princess Marina hesitated before moving to sit next to her.

"Hey." Princess Marina said softly as she took a chair next to Maria.

"How is your dormitory?" asked Princess Marina.

"Do you have any roommates?" Princess Marina said trying to make conversation but Maria Price just nodded numbly.

Taking a deep breath, Princess Marina said "The name of my dormitory is called the sigil of fire and hammer and the boys and girls each have their prefects"

"Can you guess what ranks they are?" Princess Marina asked.

"Three stars." Maria said numbly.

"You are correct and wrong." said Princess Marina but Maria Price showed no reaction in the slightest.

"The girls prefect was a three star rank but the boys prefect," Princess Marina said with a small smile.

"Was a one star rank." Princess Marina said and Maria Price turned to her in shock.

"Really?" Maria Price asked Princess Marina with hope.

"Really." Princess Marina said, nodding.

"I'm sorry for the way I acted earlier. I just- I just-" Maria said with tears in her eyes and Princess Marina pulled her into a hug.

"It's okay." Princess Marina said as Maria cried into her shoulder.

"What's wrong?" Esmira asked with Rassera at her side, as they materialized across from them at the opposite side of the dinner table.

"Nothing." Maria said as she cleaned her eyes with a smile.

"Something got into my eyes, that's all." Maria said with a smile and Esmira looked at her sadly.

"So how are your dorms?" Maria asked Rassera and Esmira in a bubbly tone and the two of them smiled before Rassera started talking animatedly.

As the chatter between all four of them naturally grew in volume, Lorraine drew the chair Princess Marina saved for her and took her seat silently. Princess Marina acknowledged her with a nod of her head and a smile before getting back into the conversation and finding ways to include her.

After five minutes of non-stop chatter, a gong sounded and four students that Princess Marina had previously seen in the welcoming committee before all the students were split up, walked into the room.

Upon the arrival of those four students food item upon food item were laid out on the counter.

Stepping forward a girl with golden brown hair raised her hands and the wind began to lift the food from the counter straight to the dining table. A boy with dark green hair that was blue at the tips lifted the drinks from the bowls on the counter and redistributed them to the bowls on the table and a girl with long light blue hair with white streaks grew plants that produced fruit in every pot she passed by.

"If these four students were picked according to their blessings, then could the last student be a student blessed by the spirit of fire." a boy whispered loud enough for the whole dining hall to hear.

"What is he supposed to do?" said a girl with an obnoxious tone and Princess Marina grit her teeth.

Ignoring her as she wasn't worth his time, the boy opened a large black box and golden dragon flies, about two meters long flew out of the box and went straight to the utensils. Using the magnetic field that was in them, the golden dragon flies attracted the cutlery to them and dropped them beside each student as they flew by.

Smiling because the obnoxious boy and girl ate their words in seconds, Princess Marina relaxed and watched as everyone's powers worked in perfect harmony.

"You have thirty minutes left for dinner." the girl with golden brown hair said before leaving with her colleagues and the minute the door shut, whispers filled the dining hall.

"Did you see that?" said multiple students as everyone began talking simultaneously.

"Princess Marina, you have to try this fruit." Maria said as she plucked what looked to be a grapefruit and handed it over to Princess Marina excitedly.

"You only get fresh fruit like this if you live close to Danora." Maria said in happiness.

"That senior is so amazing, she is able to grow this type of fruit in this climate." Maria said as she ate her fruit happily.

"Don't you think the one blessed by the spirit of water was awesome too?" Rassera chimed into the conversation excitedly.

"When he used his powers to distribute the drinks it looked like colored rain was falling from the dining hall ceiling." Rassera said dreamily.

"The girl blessed by the spirit of the wind was also good." Esmira said right after Rassera finished speaking.

"She did everything so precisely with no help too." Esmira said as she praised the senior, blessed by the spirit of the wind.

Knowing that a little bit of competitive spirit over who was the best at displaying their powers was alit in the conversation, Princess Marina shook her head in amusement before saying "Well the one blessed by the spirit of fire was amazing too-" and the four friends plus Lorraine began arguing.
