Hey mum I'm back. "I shut the door behind me, my eyes searching the house for any signs of her"
Is everything alright? You sounded pretty serious over the phone. I finally spotted her in the kitchen.

Honey I know, I remember how much you suffered.. how much we both suffered but baby we can't carry on like this! We can't carry this pain for the rest of our lives. At some point we have to learn to let go.
Listen sweetie, I know you're hurt and trust me you have every right to be. Your father and I had our issues and we both made mistakes but he's trying to make amends, to be part of our lives again. Honey I know it's hard to forgive and I'm not asking you forgive him immediately all I'm asking is you consider it.
Hmm mom I understand why you want this, I really do but you weren't the one who was left crying in her closet, you weren't the one who had to explain to friends why daddy didn't show up to school events or holidays. I remember all the tears, the disappointment, the feelings of not being enough for him and now here you are, asking me to forgive him and forget everything he put me through… put us! through? it's not that easy
I'm not asking you to forget the past but consider the present and future. Your father loves us, and as much as I tried to fight it baby! I still love him… I want us to be whole again.
I'm scared mom, I'm scared that he will leave us again, that he will hurt us all over again and I don't know if I can handle that
Oh baby I know, I'm scared too but I believe it's worth it, I believe we can rebuild, we can heal and we can be a family again.
I need time to think mom, I need time to figure out if I can do this
Take as long as you need honey, we can wait. All I'm asking is you give your father a chance… give him a chance to make amends and be a good father to you.

Oh my! I forgot to call Alvin, our meeting was cut short because of me.
