Chapter 1 - Act 1

Since the beginning of my junior year in high school, I have been in search of looking for a potential partner. My first attempt was on Instagram with someone I found quite attractive. His name was Orion. His profile had a lot of art. He was a big fan of a lot of gay shit. I thought it was quite obvious that he was gay; however, I wasn't 100% sure until he posted a story. This story said that he was gay and also transphobic and that he didn't like feminine guys. This intrigued me a lot because I like myself a masculine guy, so I started a message with him by replying to that story, asking if he indeed was gay. For quite some time, I messaged him with little hints that made it clear I was interested; however, it didn't seem to work, as I had to create every single conversation, and he ignored me when I said that he was not ugly when he said that he was, and was in fact attractive. At that point, I had decided to give up. I didn't think it was worth it. I felt like you had to be very stupid and unintelligent to not understand that someone was hitting on you. And the fact he constantly complained and emphasized the fact that he was single just pissed me off even further. I would have been happier if he told me he wasn't interested. But instead, he resorted to leaving me on seen. At the start of October, I remembered that one of my friends had told me about someone. I didn't know him at all; however, I did see him around the school. I have the slightest memory of him asking me for money about a year or two ago. I asked my friend if he had a phone number or any way of contact. He said he had his phone number, and I wanted to ask him for it; however, I did not want to seem invasive, especially since we barely knew each other. He then suggested that I contact him via school email, which I did. I emailed him on Saturday, not knowing what to expect.
