Adam's lips curved into a faint smile as Isolde's words settled over them. "Of course dragons have a lot of energy," he said, glancing at Ignis who was still bouncing ahead with renewed vigor. "Their aura is constantly radiating. It takes a lot of fuel to maintain that kind of presence." He paused, a dry note entering his voice. "Especially when they eat as much as she does."
Ignis looked back, flames flickering indignantly. "Hey! I heard that! And it's not my fault! Fighting makes me hungry!"
"You're always hungry," Lilith murmured, watching Ignis with quiet amusement.
Before Ignis could retort, the ground beneath them shuddered.
A low, deep rumble echoed through the canyon, vibrating up through the soles of their boots. Small cracks spider-webbed across the stone floor, and dust rained from the jagged cliffs above.
