The morning sun cast long, golden streaks across the clearing, the grass still damp with dew. Adam stood at the center, rolling his shoulders as he stretched his arms above his head. Lilith and Isolde stood a few paces away, their expressions a mixture of curiosity and skepticism.
Lilith's crimson eyes gleamed with amusement as she tilted her head, a slow, knowing smile curving her lips. Her silver-white hair caught the morning light, and her voice carried a smooth, teasing edge.
"I didn't expect you to want to fight me, Adam. Is this my punishment for being too possessive?"
Adam let out a low chuckle, shaking his head as he cracked his neck.
