Adam gave Lilith a helpless look. "You make it sound like I'm completely hopeless."
Lilith smiled. "Not completely."
"That's not very reassuring."
She laughed softly and leaned a little closer, her arm still wrapped around his waist. For a moment, Adam simply let himself relax. After everything that had happened, sitting there with Lilith in the quiet room felt strangely peaceful.
Lilith was quiet for a moment before a playful smile slowly appeared on her lips.
"Since we've finished talking about everything important..." she said, her voice taking on a teasing tone, "I think it's time for the main course."
Adam blinked in confusion. "Main course?"
Before he could make sense of her words, Lilith suddenly pushed him backward onto the bed.
Adam's eyes widened as he looked up at her. She was smiling beautifully, but there was something almost predatory in her crimson eyes, as if she were looking at her favorite prey.
