"If your wife sues me for sexual harassment, I am going to have to take some measures against you. You would not like that, will you?" Curtis stated firmly.
Mike raised his eyebrows, feigning indifference.
"And what would those measures be?" he drawled.
Curtis's expression remained blank. Unyielding.
"You prevented Lara from getting pregnant by giving her something to stop her womb from procreating. I could have you arrested for attempted murder," he deadpanned.
Blood drained from Mike's face. His heart pounded with fear, but he tried not to show it.
This was a man to man conversation, and Mike was not willing to let Curtis smell fear in him.
"I don't know what you're talking about," he quipped.
Curtis leaned back on his chair and his eyebrows rose disdainfully.
"Really? You're going to deny it when you know I might have proof?"
