"My Lady," Jin said, his eyes bulging so hard they practically hit the carriage's windshield. "That is a mountain. A solid, volcanic, 'we-will-become-pancakes' mountain. Are you sure the goddess didn't mean 'Go Straight' to the nearest therapist?"
"I am the boss, Jin! I don't pay you for structural analysis; I pay you for velocity! Trust the Goddess! Trust the burger!" I gripped the edge of my silk seat, my knuckles white. "Now, RAM IT!"
The horses let out a terrified whinny, Jin let out a scream that was definitely two octaves higher than his usual knightly baritone, and we charged. Alex grabbed me, wrapping his massive arms around my frail frame to cushion the impact of our impending doom. Viking just crossed his arms, looking like he was ready to critique our funeral arrangements.
