The room was a cathedral of glass and pulsing violet light. Dozens of smaller Heartstone fragments were suspended in localized stasis fields, connected by a web of glowing mana-filaments that looked like a digital nervous system. It was beautiful, terrifying, and completely revolutionary.
"What... what is this?" Ford whispered, his royal composure finally cracking. He walked toward a central console where the mana-readings were flickering in mid-air.
"It's a centralized data and mana distribution hub," I stated, my CEO-brain reveling in his shock. "While the world is still sending pigeons and riding horses, I'm building a network. This tower doesn't just move people, Ford. It moves information. With this system, a merchant in the Maden Kingdom can check the price of elven coffee in the south in real-time. No more waiting weeks for a letter. No more market fluctuations based on rumors."
