Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

The speed at which things escalated far exceeded Lin Chen's imagination.

After the match, returning to the locker room.

Just a quick shower, and when he came out, his phone had already exploded.

Lin Chen was still studying his attribute values.

Taking advantage of the shower, he finally had time to thoroughly examine his attributes from all angles.

Lin Chen was still researching.

No wonder he could stay in Everton's youth academy and later be scouted by Real Madrid Castilla.

To have such attributes at 17 years old, he really did have some talent.

So his original Strength was 70, and after adding 20 points, it became 90.

A proper monster.

No wonder his whole body felt uncomfortably swollen.

Especially...

At this moment, his teammates finished showering and entered the changing room.

Seeing Lin Chen muttering to himself.

"This is good."

"This is a bit lacking."

"Not fast enough, without frequency, how can you conquer?"

...

His teammates instantly thought Lin Chen had some special activity planned later and was preparing to cool himself down.

Ramos walked over to him.

Since entering the youth academy, Lin Chen sometimes went to train with the First Team, and Ramos was the best to him.

"Your muscles."

"Have you been secretly training?"

Ramos squeezed Lin Chen's arm.

If it weren't for the club officially certifying him as 17, Ramos wouldn't have believed it at all.

While the two were chatting, Head Coach Zidane entered the changing room.

"Lin!"

"Come with me."

Lin Chen followed closely, and Ramos waved goodbye to him.

He knew in his heart that La Liga would not let Lin Chen go.

Just like Cantona said back then:

"He insulted my family, humiliated my character, as a man, I will not endure it."

But the Premier League still banned him for eight months within the League.

And Lin Chen...

Soon, Lin Chen arrived at the office.

Florentino looked relaxed, and upon seeing Lin Chen, he greeted him immediately.

"I deeply apologize for what happened today."

"But La Liga still imposed a penalty; they are banning you from La Liga for eight months, just like Cantona back then."

Lin Chen was a little surprised.

"Only eight months?"

"I should have kicked him a few more times!"

Zidane froze in place.

Florentino covered his face and laughed, saying:

"For your future growth, La Liga is no longer a place where you can compete."

"Wherever you want to go, we will do our utmost to help you."

"This is our compensation to you."

Lin Chen pondered for a moment.

"Then the Premier League it is."

He had already spent time in Everton's youth academy.

As a Premier League youth player, he didn't need to apply for a work permit.

Coupled with the system's growth template as an all-around Midfielder and his additional 20 points in Strength, it was very suitable for him to venture into the physically demanding Premier League.

Real Madrid immediately arranged for people to handle it.

The news of Lin Chen being banned from La Liga for eight months quickly broke out in various media outlets.

Sky Sports: "Eight-month ban, perhaps this is the Premier League's chance!"

BBC: "english football circle needs this kid!"

Bild: "Did no one notice Lin Chen's long shot in the friendly match? He seems to have grown a lot!"

Marca: "According to reliable sources, multiple Premier League teams have extended an olive branch to Lin!"

After Real Madrid released the news, indeed, many Premier League teams submitted signing requests.

It was already a youth contract, and Florentino didn't intend to ask for a transfer fee.

He spoke nicely on the surface, but kicking a Fan and assaulting a teammate.

In his eyes, Lin Chen was already a hot potato.

On July 17th, Lin the Big Cannon and Lin Chen were waiting at Real Madrid headquarters.

Real Madrid's Vice Chairman, Jack, served two cups of coffee.

"Kopi Luwak, try it."

Lin the Big Cannon leisurely drank it.

Compared to Lin Chen, he looked completely relaxed.

Finally, the Sports Director arrived with documents.

"Good news."

"Multiple Premier League teams have sent signing invitations."

"We've received offers from Watford, Norwich, Brighton..."

The Sports Director listed several teams, all of which were mid-to-lower table teams or struggling in the relegation zone.

Lin Chen almost gave up hope.

Well, with his current reputation, it was undoubtedly a fool's dream to imagine a strong team extending an olive branch.

However, after the Sports Director rattled off several relegation-threatened teams like a menu, he then snatched Jack's coffee and chugged it down.

"Phew." After a long breath, he spoke again.

"Finally."

He held up a document with a red team emblem.

Lin Chen's pupils instantly constricted!

Even from a distance, even seeing only the tip of the iceberg, he immediately recognized it.

"Liverpool?!"

"Liverpool!!"

Lin Chen took the document, and sure enough!

Lin the Big Cannon also stood up in shock, no longer having his previous leisurely demeanor.

"Liverpool sent an invitation to Lin Chen?"

Lin the Big Cannon repeatedly checked the document to ensure there were no errors.

"Are you sure they sent the invitation to Lin Chen?"

"Not Ramos or Marcelo?"

Jack smiled and said:

"I'm not surprised at all."

"With Gerrard retired, neither Lucas nor Emre Can can inherit Gerrard's mantle."

"They really do lack an all-around Midfielder."

Jack, who had still harbored some doubts, had a clear understanding after speaking.

Liverpool's transfer application was not based on financial considerations at all; they might genuinely see Lin Chen as a young Midfielder with potential to develop!

"So, whose invitation do you choose to accept?"

To confirm, Jack still asked the question for which he already had the answer.

A few minutes later, at Liverpool headquarters.

Wells was just about to open a small movie to enjoy himself.

Suddenly, he received an email.

The notification sound startled him.

"Damn it, who's ruining my good time at a moment like this..."

"Good..."

"Good!"

Wells looked again to make sure he hadn't misread it.

"Good!"

"Hahahaha!"

He got up and rushed to Klopp's office.

Jürgen Klopp, Liverpool's current Head Coach.

He excels at high-pressing, combining immediate counter-pressing with quick counter-attacks, and is skilled at long-ball distribution to tear apart space—a true tactical master!

He also has a unique approach to locker room management.

A Midfielder was the target he had been desperately searching for.

Everyone knew that while Liverpool's current squad seemed complete, they were just missing a Midfielder.

Upon hearing the news released by Real Madrid, Klopp's new Assistant Coach team immediately began their research overnight.

Assistant video analysis master Klavitz repeatedly studied Lin Chen's youth academy videos from Everton and Real Madrid Castilla, and combined with his performance in the friendly match, concluded:

"He has some talent."

"His long shot is very beautiful, even very similar to Gerra..."

"We can try him!"

Klopp slammed the table.

"Anyway, we've tried so many Midfielders these past few years."

"Let's just try him!"
