On the fifth day, at dawn, when most of the Forsaken were sleeping and the guard rotations were changing, Nyx woke up to the sound of steel clashing and screams echoing through the palace corridors. She immediately reached for her knife beside the bed.
Raziel had already half shifted into his combat form.
"Stay here." He ordered, walking towards the door.
"Like hell…"
An explosion shook the building.
"That was inside the palace. We're under attack." Razeil said.
They ran towards the corridor and found chaos everywhere. Palace guards were fighting with other guards.
"Infiltrators!" Kira shouted. She was fighting with three warriors simultaneously. "They're targeting the Forsaken quarters!"
Raziel shifted into his lion form,and attacked the nearest infiltrator, killing him in seconds.
"How many infiltrators do we have?" Nyx shouted.
"A lot!" Kira replied still fighting. "They're targeting multiple locations simultaneously."
