The news spread among the forsaken quickly. They reacted with mixed emotions; relief that the immediate battle was over, and terror that their champion was about to fight alone.
"She killed twenty warriors in minutes during the assault, if anyyone can win, it's her." One forsaken said.
Lamia gathered the forsaken leaders.
"Our job now is to prepare her as much as possible."
"How do we prepare someone who is feral?"
"By triggering the right instincts. We will show her the arena, let her mark it as territory. We will demonstrate aggressive posturing so she understands this is combat, not patrol. We have four hours. We have to make the best use for them."
They led Nyx down from the walls, towards the combat arena. She resisted initially, but Kai managed to guide her using pack behavior.
When they reached the arena, Kai shifted to wolf form and attacked another forsaken warrior who'd volunteered. They fought showing her what combat looked like.
