The summit chamber felt tensed when they entered. All four kings were sitting at the circular table. Razeil took his place as well. Behind each king stood their closest advisors.
Nyx sat beside Raziel. Technically she wasn't a king, but her hybrid council position gave her equal authority in hybrids related matters.
Darius spoke first.
"The Culled are not asking for policy changes or reform, they're asking for Nyx specifically. This is about killing a symbol."
"Or about giving her a chance to actually lead." Korran countered. "She offered to negotiate and they accepted. Refusing now will look weak."
"Refusing now will look smart."" Darius shot back. "Walking into an obvious trap is stupidity."
"Gentlemen." Zephyr joined in. "Before we debate whether Nyx should attend, perhaps we should analyze what The Culled actually wants. They've backed us into a corner regardless of how we respond."
"Explain." Sylthis said, leaning forward with interest.
