Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: 2000, England

And so, 5 years have passed.

I have now arrived in England with Tiamat, Medea, Lancelot, and Artoria.

We were able to purchase IDs with Kiritsugu's help, and we arrived in England, the land that was once Britain.

"It's nice..."

"Is it? My King, have you laid down the burdens you carry?"

"Sir Lancelot, perhaps I knew that my wish was wrong. Perhaps I just didn't want to accept that final scene."

At that sight, Lancelot felt sad.

"...My King."

"Still... now that I've arrived here, I wonder if this is what I wanted to see until the very end."

To Lancelot, Artoria looked like the King of Knights, wearing a cloak, her sword planted in the ground, watching over her rejoicing people.

Even though Lancelot himself was a sinner, his fear had long since disappeared because he could see the King's true human form, but guilt still remained.

"I have been living my life since the 4th Holy Grail War ended, but if I hadn't pulled Caliburn and lived as a girl, what kind of life would I have lived?"

Lancelot would have answered that since the King was a lovely person, she would have been loved, but he remained silent, thinking that if he said it, his jewels might be crushed.

And I was there too.

"We came to England. Wouldn't it be a shame if we didn't eat any food?"

"Sounds good. Let's go eat!"

"Sigh, I'll pay."

Lancelot just smiled warmly, as if he liked the sight.

"Ah, before that, Artoria. How does it feel to be back in your hometown?"

"I think you know even without me saying it, so I won't say."

Artoria just smiled.

And Artoria's appearance had changed from a girl to a young woman.

She was smaller than Lancer Artoria, but Medea said she was jealous of how quickly Artoria had grown after putting down Excalibur for 5 years.

Well, it couldn't be helped, but we traveled around England while eating together.

We continued our story while making precious memories for Artoria.

Lancelot watched the story unfold and became a retainer following behind his King.

Medea no longer had a wish.

Diarmuid was just waiting for the 5th Holy Grail War.

He was a Heroic Spirit with a fighting spirit who just wanted to fight as a warrior, and considering he was an Ulster, a race of warriors, he must have been bored.

While traveling in England, we saw a beggar stealing bread while bleeding. Artoria, with a sad expression, gave cash to the bakery owner, bought a few loaves of bread, and ran to the place where the beggar had fled.

It was an abandoned barn, and the beggar was giving bread to a blonde-haired boy.

"Beautiful..."

Thud.

Artoria ran over, and Medea and I also ran to where the beggar was. The blonde boy was wary.

"It's okay, mystery concealment is active, but he fainted, so Medea, please treat him."

"Yes, if we don't leave him be, I don't think he'll die. By the way... that boy over there seems to be a magus... but his Magic Circuits are broken?"

"Can you heal him?"

"Yes, it will take some time, but the treatment should be simple."

"Then heal him. It seems the beggar wanted to save the boy, so he's probably not a bad person."

"Why are you helping?"

"Does a person need a reason to help another person?"

I said it as if it were obvious. The boy, surprised, asked again.

"Other people aren't like you."

"Yeah, maybe. But there's no law saying I shouldn't save you, right? Whether to save or not is up to the individual. The beggar tried to save you because he thought you were beautiful. That action might seem foolish, but he wanted to save you, and I don't think there was any big reason behind it."

"It's hard to understand."

"Yeah, it might be hard to understand. But why don't you think of it as just a process of living? There are bad people, good people, and neutral people. But their lives are all different, and their ways of moving forward are different, but whatever creature it is, if you want to save it, you want to save it. If there's a person who has a reason in that process, they're probably trying to use you, or they have a story. But is the act of trying to save someone without a reason wrong?"

The boy looked as if he were thinking to find an answer.

"Hmm... well, it might sound difficult in meaning, but try traveling the world or watching people and build up your knowledge of the world. If you do that, I think you might find the reason you were curious about."

The boy nodded as if he accepted my words.

"Now I'll treat the magus boy."

As Medea treated his Magic Circuits, the magus boy broke out in a cold sweat and suffered.

After 30 minutes of treatment, his Magic Circuits were restored, and the magus boy didn't scream once.

"Here is some bread. With this, the two of you should be able to last for 5 days."

As Artoria placed a loaf of bread, the magus boy said:

"I will repay this debt later."

"No, you don't have to repay it. We didn't treat you because we wanted something in return. We just came here to travel. Our connection ends here. I hope that when we meet next time, we can meet as people, not as magi. Then, I wish you good luck."

"Good luck."

"Stay healthy."

"Aaaa, grow up healthy and well."

Finally, Lancelot bowed his head, and our trip to England ended a few days later.

And so, we arrived home, and I thought about the boy, recalling his appearance.

'He felt familiar, but I don't know who he is...'

It seemed there was one character in FGO with the blonde hair trait.

'Don't tell me it's Wodime? I don't know anything about Wodime, but well... shall we just call it fate?'

It didn't matter anyway.

It didn't seem like the Fate/Grand Order route where we conquer Singularities, so I decided to forget about it.

I was just curious how the boy who resembled Wodime would grow under my influence.

'Well, fun stories will happen later. This kind of daily life is nice.'

Except for the continuous Holy Grail Wars that would happen later.

Are there 4 years left?

Anyway, the waiting was worth it.

===================

Meanwhile, Shirou became a blacksmith.

Shirou, who liked making things, made weapons.

Sometimes he made kitchen knives, but he was making weapons.

If you ask why, it's because during this time, neither Illya, Rin, Sakura, nor Taiga would touch him.

No woman approached the intense heat.

Only the metallic sound echoing from the anvil and hammer was enough to resonate in the heart.

In fact, there were quite a few reasons why Shirou became a blacksmith.

==========

Unable to endure the cross-dressing bullying from Rin, Sakura, Illya, and Miyu any longer, he asked how he could get them off his back.

"Why don't you try a genre that girls find hard to approach?"

"Medea noona, like what?"

"Hmm... for example, something like a blacksmith. Sparks fly and you can get hurt, so it's good that they won't approach, right?"

He accepted those words, but thinking about it later, he thought kendo might be okay too, but then Taiga was the problem.

Shirou's mental state was already unshakeable, but it was still annoying and he hated what he hated, so he thought of ways to avoid it, but he had no choice but to ask Kiritsugu.

"Grandpa, please build me a forge."

"Okay, since it's Shirou's request. I should grant it."

Grandpa already looked like he could die at any moment, so he listened to my words.

"Grandpa, are you okay?"

"Ah, what a beautiful moon..."

It's the sun right now... Grandpa.

"What on earth happened?"

"Well, you see... love is scary. I can't tell you everything, Shirou, but with two wives, the jealousy is no joke... I've already reached my limit."

At those words, Shirou sympathized with his grandfather.

"Yeah, girls these days are scary too."

"I see, you're having a hard time too, Shirou."

"Grandpa, your expression looks like you're going to die right now..."

"Yeah... when I die, hang in there, Shirou..."

Shirou wanted to shout, 'Are you really dying?', but seeing his grandfather's condition, he looked quite exhausted both mentally and physically.

"Grandpa, get some rest."

Grandpa took out his cellphone and started texting someone.

"Okay, Shirou. The forge should be completed within 3 days. Bear with the noise."

"Yeah... Grandpa... hang in there."

"Okay..."

His voice sounded like he was losing energy.

Afterward, 3 days passed and the forge was completed. To handle the forge, he gathered information and taught himself.

That was the story of how Shirou became a blacksmith.
