Chapter 24 - The Queen

[You have killed a 1st Origin Silver Class Lizzard man.]

The second Lizzard man died just as silently, there didn't seem to be any external injuries after getting hit by the water arrow.

Instead, the attack had damaged his head from inside, directly destroying the flesh and brain.

'Not bad.' He killed the third one using the water arrow, this time watching more closely.

[You have killed a 1st Origin Silver Class Lizzard man.]

As for the final Lizzard man, who finally noticed the disappearance of the other three, Neil decided to choose the earth arrow.

"W-Who's there? Zrrar, Rikz, Irk, where are you all?" panicking, the Lizzard man shouted, in his language.

Maybe because Neil was using a bow, he didn't feel as affected by the three kills.

But he paused as he watched the fourth Lizzard man, slight hesitation creeping into his heart as he saw the frightened creature.

This is a kill or die world, either be the predator or become prey, and a slight hesitation is enough to reverse the roles.

WHOOSH

Pulling the string harder than before, Neil let go as an arrow which seemed to be made of mud flew towards the final prey.

BOOM!

The arrow contained destructive power, it made the Lizzard man's head explode into pieces before creating a small crater in the ground.

"Oh, that was… powerful." Neil jumped down the tree and headed out to check his loot, hoping that the corpse wouldn't be too damaged.

Arriving beside the corpses, Neil quickly extracted the loot.

[You have acquired three 1st Origin Silver Class Gene Point.]

[You have acquired 300 Shards.]

That was all he obtained from their loot, but luckily, he was able to get a couple of items from the corpses.

First being an armor.

[Buzzing Armor]

[Rank]: 1st Origin Silver Class

[Description]: An armor that increases your body's efficiency when under attack, along with providing sufficient protection.

Second was a dagger, whose speciality itself was being sharp, but it could at most cut people up to Silver Class.

"Oh, what is this?" Neil picked up a leather bag, upon opening it he found three small bottles with a light green fluid filling them.

"This seems to be a cheap Essence regeneration potion, it can restore your energy, but seeing how it is of such low quality, it would be useless after a few hours and can't restore energy completely." Nemo spoke.

"I see, let's try it."

First, Neil drank the four Bronze Class gene points and glanced at his status panel.

(Bronze): 76 / 1000

(Silver): 39 / 500

(Gold): 5 / 100

(Diamond): 1 / 5

(Mythic): 1 / 2

Unfortunately, there weren't many beasts or other creatures here for him to hunt.

Neil planned to create a lot of slimes with different types of fluid, and now he didn't need to worry about exhausting all his energy.

[Slimemorph activated.]

One after another, slimes were created using different sorts of fluids, he thought of all sorts of situations while creating them.

Some slippery, some very hard, the slimes would be very useful later on.

Although right now they wouldn't be of much use in a battle, but as the skill grows, Neil was sure this skill would be exceptionally dangerous.

After using all three potions, Neil was able to create around thirty slimes and now was left with half his energy.

Within a few hours, he should recover most of that though.

Since the slimes weren't alive, he could store them all into the spatial storage.

"Alright, everything is done now, it's time to return to the Lizzard settlement." Picking up the bracelets of the four, he mumbled.

With these bracelets, not only could Nemo get a lot of information, but she could even hack some cameras.

And before going there, Neil checked up various things, making sure he wouldn't be killed right after returning because of some silly mistake.

Inside the Lizzard settlement,

In a dark, cold prison cell, a woman was seated with her back pressed against the wall.

She wore a red robe that completely covered her body up, even her face was hidden under the hood.

She was twirling a metallic card in her hand, as if bored of waiting for something.

A drawing was present on the card, showing a silhouette, half of whose body was covered with dreadful vines while the other half seemed to be hanging off a thin thread.

As if balancing between life and death.

A few letters in a strange language were written under it.

"I hate waiting, are you sure that person would be here?" lazily, she muttered, tapping over the card.

There was a tattoo over her right arm, consisting of a strange pattern, going from her finger to her elbow.

"Yes, he should be here soon." The tattoo glowed faintly, answering her.

She had already been waiting there for nearly three hours, but she didn't even know if it would be some Lizzard man or not.

"How special is his ability that I need to go through all this?" she asked, hating the silence of the dark prison.

"Better than the two you have stolen before, I can't explain, but it is special enough to even alter your fate." The tattoo on her arm glowed again, answering her.

If the previous two divinations she had gotten weren't absolutely correct, she would never lower herself to come here and become a prisoner.

Her pupils turned into two thin slits glowing under the hood as she impatiently waited, she was already annoyed enough to destroy the entire Lizzard settlement.

"I will… wait a bit longer." She muttered.

Just then, a couple of Lizzard man guards paused before her cell, in their eyes she appeared like a Lizzard woman.

"Do you want to leave? Don't tell anyone we helped you, but for that you have to-" after looking around, one of the guards muttered.

A faint smile spread across her face, dreadful enough to chill the entire area.

The two guards didn't even know what happened, as their bodies twisted, breaking apart all of a sudden.

No blood fell and no scream came out, within moments their bodies were turned into a messy sphere, just the size of a football.

The Queen was now even more pissed.

A day was given to all the teenagers who had succeeded in becoming lords to return to the settlement.

Meanwhile, the Lizzard men helped their own new lords, sending out resources and reinforcement.

Especially those whose domain class was higher.

There was a portal, out of which an injured boy walked out, after glancing around he found himself in a big hall.

Over ten humans were already seated at the centre of the hall, various guards surrounded them.

Limping, he got closer and sat at the back of the line, after one day was over they would officially be registered as Lizzard race slaves.

If one became a slave, the chances of freedom were very low, as their domain could easily be overtaken or destroyed.

Time passed, as some more human teens walked out of the portal, looking completely drained and injured.

They chatted in low voices, but were under constant watch.

Even their bracelets were taken away in advance so they couldn't even contact anyone.

When less than twenty minutes were left, the final lord walked out and before long the portal closed.

The teenagers sat huddled together, despite becoming lords, they weren't happy.

Neil was wearing random clothes, he had hidden his bracelet, waiting for a chance to hide it away.

After a few minutes, the guards received their orders, a couple of them walked to the front of the line and started checking the identity of each.

'Sigh…' Neil hoped that they would send them all to prison first and follow other procedures after that.

But once again, luck wasn't on his side.

"Stand up." Soon the guard approached him, ready to scan.
