Once again, Ashley sighed and leaned back, crossing her arms as she pointed at Arthur with her chin. "You know how they always try to get us at odds?"
"Ah...like how they try to make it seem like Grandma will let Arthur take the company?"
Eugene recalled the gossip he heard in the back room about them. About how Cynthia prioritized Arthur more, and would probably let him have their shares in the company. It seemed they themselves believed it to some extent, because they first tried to get Arthur to their side, and when that didn't work, they tried to harass him.
It was a good thing that Arthur was more focused on his work and Eugene, so he couldn't care less about office drama. The best thing he did during all of that trouble was not to involve himself at all.
